Just a few hours left of being 17 y'all
I feel like I should do something but I don't know what
I have to cram for an exam tomorrow . . . Not feeling my best TBH.
We did celebrate me birthday with my family today, and that was fun.

I finally finished Keeper of the Keys, by Janny Wurts, I can finally move on with my life. For now I'll just ignore that there's a third book in the series I will force myself to read at some point . . . I wrote a pretty extensive review of the first book in this series, Stormwarden, for those who check this thread regularly. I'm too tired to write a longer review listing all my likes and dislikes, but here are some of my main thoughts: (Spoilers beyond this point, for those who care. I'm not too worried about it because this an obscure book from the 80's. But you never know.) Rating for those who don't feel like reading my rambles: 2/5 This turned into a bit more a rant review then I had intended, I didn't hate it that much, it was just very exhausting and I'm glad I can finally move on. Next I'm going to read Mockingjay, because I want to finish the HG trilogy before I forget all the details of what happened. I'm hoping this'll be a good break and refresher because it's YA, fast-paced stuff that should be easier to read. (On KotK, I was reading 20 pages in a dedicated hour that's not an exageration). Oh! Alright, thank you for clarifying, I apologize for misreading! I do think that having the tech lower helps a lot with overall fairness. As long as you try and keep the grenades and bullets realistic by trying to give Rye a limited number until he reaches a reasonable time he could make more, it'll work. What does everyone think?

I love spring because it's the only time the temperature is nice outside. Plus it's when my favorite flowers bloom. And there's my birthday. And we get out of school . . . There's a lot of reasons hehehe. My spring break starts in like 2 hours, but I have a done of work to do while we're not in school.

Please see the longer announcement post at the end of page 4, sorry I probably should have pinged everyone but I did not have time. It shouldn't be too hard to find. I thought he was only up to 1800's technology?? I'm sorry I've probably remember things wrong. However, even if he was super modern before, this does feel a little too OP. I want things to be fair on a power level between characters. I'm fine with him having higher tech things relative to our medieval setting (17th-18th century stuff), but if we start introducing a bunch of modern tech then the RP looses it's heart. Unless anyone thinks that's an overstep on my part. It just makes things harder for me, because I have to somehow come up with a medieval era boss/enemy for you all to fight that can withstand machine guns. I guess in my mind, a few characters having slightly higher technology like firearms works well as a 'special power' in a no magic world, but once it gets too modern and powerful, the other characters get left behind. I don't want to be hyper-controlling because rp's on the Shard are by nature a little more random, but I still want it to be fun for everyone. Yeah, once again I'm sorry but I'm really inclined to veto this.

the problem is I don't know if I can manage more then one at once lol not to mention I only have plot for one storyline, and if we did two I would have to make sure the two threads don't contradict . . . there's a reason the separate threads in HG were region locked, but it doesn't really make sense for us to do it that way. Meh, bodyguards and archipelago were just as big and we survived.
