The urge to start a new worldbuilding project vs the compulsion to add every new idea I have to my pre-existing project.

This is so stupid but
my birthdays coming up and my parents asked for a list to help them with gifts, which is what we normally do
and I'm having a hard time making it because I'm so embarrassed? about the things I like? I'm so nervous about putting anime themed stuff and books I like on the list because what if my parents judge me?
How dumb is that?
I'm making this su to force myself to realize how dumb that is. My parents already know I'm an eccentric person they're not gonna judge me. Gosh.

I hate to sound like a pretentious freak, but I'm reading reviews for a copy of brothers Grimm fairy tales, because I find that stuff interesting and good story inspiration.
And people are writing about how tropey everything is.

I remember reading these books as a kid! I love them, they're all so cute! The colors on each are really nice, and I like how you've colored the line art. Are these all OC's, or characters in the books? It's been so long, I can't remember the names of the canon ones lol (I think I recognize Fjord, but that's all).

SAME GIRL Except my brothers 14 (?) and you'd think that now he's like a teenager in highschool he'd act a little more mature, but nooo. On a similar note: what is with parents bringing up the most depressing conversation topics during fun family outings? I'm just tryna eat a burger in peace, mom I love you but I don't really want to hear about the tragic life of a 17th century princess that you learned about in a podcast.

Yaaaay!! It's really good. Also Taln fan, I mentioned you in a thread in the Cosmere Discussion section that needs to be moved, if you haven't seen it yet. I still recommend the anime, it's really well done and super engaging. I also have a hard time sitting through longer episodes, but these ones are only 20 ish minutes each, and easy to step away from and come back to. Oh . . . whoops I've definitely done similar things in the past.

I've never seen jjk, but I'm all caught up on Demon Slayer. It's definitely a darker story .
