    Junes character sheet, because I didn't have time earlier: Alright everybody, I'm now closing the signups. We have 16 characters that will be currently involved in the plot (including mine) and I don't know if I can keep track of more Thank you everyone for your interest! I didn't expect this many people to want to be involved. The signups may reopen at some point, if I feel like it's necessary or possible (this has never been a hard closing RP like HG, so if you didn't get a character in and wanted to, know that there may be a chance to do so in the future). If anyone has questions, or thoughts on plot, or anything else please don't hesitate to PM me. @BlueWildRye @Through The Living Glass You can still write up a character sheet if you want, I'm just closing things to new players. "When will the role play start?" Soon. The first post is going to include a list of characters, maps, and the already provided exposition all for reference, as well as our opening hook scene. This is gonna take me a while to compile, and I'm a pretty busy person. That said, my spring break is next week, and I'm gonna try and get it done during that time. Thank you for your patience!     Thanks for the hugs everybody I'm feeling less awful but Some people from the nearby university came to the class to direct our lab, because it's a bit more complicated. So it's this professor guy and an assistant, and they helped us to the lab. BUT THE ASSISTANT was like gENUINELY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON I HAVE EVER SEEN?? She was wearing a waistcoat, slacks and a white tie under her lab coat? And she had the most beautiful auburn curls I have ever seen???? She was gorgeous?? And her voice was so soothing?? Her aura was so incredible that it shocked me out of my morning existential crisis. Like, life still sucks but HOLY CRAP I CAN ONLY ASPIRE TO BE THAT CLASSY AND THAT BEAUTIFUL ALKSJDF:LKJSD:LKFJS:LDKFJ I'm actually so speechless I'm never gonna forget her.

    I made a map, it's in the first post. Truehearth is not in the Worru empire, it's to the north of some of the other places we've been.

    Yup, that's great! We were going to send her to Truehearth with the others, but if you want her to be somewhere else that's great! We were just putting her there because we didn't know if there would someone to play her.

    Oh, sorry if I didn't explain that very well. The premise is that they did all make it out one way or another, but ended up separated, this is them finally meeting back up. Honestly, if you wanted him to be there I wouldn't mind. We can bend the rules of logic a little for a clean start, I'd think. But you could also just introduce him later if you wanted.

    Looks great! Lol, I like it he's perfect. Perfect! Nice! I'm loving these characters! They're all very unique and fun! I can't wait to get started, hehe. I did not expect this many new people!! It's great, but I think I'm going to have to make a spread sheet to remember everybody. !! Just to clarify, we are all started in the place, a wealthy tavern in Teth. The opening scene when I post the actual thread will start in the tavern, and from there everybody will meet and get to know each other for a bit. Directly from the tavern, I'll kick start the story (But I can't say more on that, or else spoilers hehe). Please keep that in mind !! @BlueWildRye (I forgot to quote your post) sounds good! @Through The Living Glass You don't have to make a character sheet if you don't want too (I happen to like them, because it helps get to know peoples characters and commit them to memory a lot easier, but I know we didn't use them last time).     I haven't had to do any, I think the only thing that requires volunteer hours where I live is certain scholarships and awards. Our NHS program is based solely on GPA

    Looks fantastic hehehe Nice! I like it. The reason I used the word 'class' is because dnd/ttrpg stereotypes are really easy to use as a base for this sort of a thing. You don't have to pick a dnd style class (my characters don't really have them), but if you wanted to specify your character with one of those classes, you could. If that makes any sense.

    lol okay, I'll probably ping when things start to move along. YES HALY PLEASE JOIN!! So far I love this concept! I forgot to put it in the sheet itself, but where is your character from? Just a citizen of the empire? It's not super important, but might effect interactions with other characters. Per the 'no magic' rule, we've been staying pretty far away from non-human races. Soooo . . . probably not. I don't know, what were you thinking? WE LOVE NIAMH

    Okay let's see if this works. Hey there! Spark and I have been talking about rebooting the Fantasy--No Magic RP, by starting a sequel thread. The rp ended up going inactive after I decided to start my soft rp hiatus. I’m finding now though, that not only do I have time, but I really really miss roleplaying with guys and having fun. We decided it might be a good idea to open the rp up to new players because we’ve lost a few (I miss you wyrmie), and I thought it would give us some momentum as we get started. Original people: (If you no longer want to be involved, that’s cool, just pinging you because this is your story just as much as mine!) @Spark of Hope @Through The Living Glass @TheRavenHasLanded @Exotic Almond @BlueWildRye For older players, I'd recommend making a character sheet still, whether you plan on playing the same character or a new one. I'll help me keep track of things, and is a good way to introduce your character to new players. For new people: FNM is an old rp that was started last August by Witsthebest, the only premise being to tell a medieval(ish) based fantasy story that didn’t include magic (I mean, it’s kind of in the name). I ended up directing a lot of the plot after I brought in some of my own original characters and we decided to let their story play out. In general, we’ve tried to keep this roleplay a bit more grounded and less chaotic. That said, we have pushed the line on the ‘no-magic’ rule to some degree. As I see it, we’re telling a story that falls in the line of magical realism. Certain folklore-like things can happen if they make sense in context, and have good reason to exist. For example, we had a religious character who could experience visions because of her religion, or a ninja character who had ki-powered martial art abilities, allowing him to pack a bit of a harder hit. But no outright wizards with spell books. Hopefully that makes sense to some degree? In the end, if you have an idea just reach out and we’ll chat about it! As for ‘season 1’ of the rp, here’s a brief summary of stuff to know so you’re less confused as we get started. (It’s over a hundred pages, so I definitely don’t see anyone going back in and reading it). I’m going to do my best to make the start of the roleplay as new-player friendly as possible, but hopefully this will help give some context: The role play is going to start at the aforementioned tavern, whether you want your character to be aware of the meeting of old characters or not is up to you. I'll do my best to weave your ideas into the plot! (I know starting at a tavern is cliche, but it works every time, and I like it, so that's what we're doing). I will reserve the right to veto any ideas that I think won't work, but I'll do my best to work with you all so we can still include your ideas. The goal is for everyone to have fun, and I'll just be here to try and preserve the fairness of that. World Map: (if you have any questions for places I didn’t mention, don’t be afraid to ask!) Character sheet base: (I will be making sheets for my two main characters, August and June, for your reference as well).
