"Alright, let's go!" Sharlin sprinted off to the treeline, keeping an eye out for death ants and creeping vines. She looked for a good place to hide and wait.

Wouldn't it be grand if I could study during the time of day I had the most energy, instead of sitting in a lecture ???

A lot of the research assignments were really frustrating to do, as well . . . idk there's something about this English teacher that is just a little off, and a little uncomfortable and I don't know if it's just me or what.
Some of the assignments felt like she was trying to get a super emotional and angry reaction out of our written responses and that bugs me. I hate when teachers do that, it's so exhausting. I can learn without you triggering my (already oversensitive) emotional range.

"Yikes, I was hoping we could get here first . . ." Sharlin took the boat to away from the other people a little while, but still within a distance that she could see them. After they got close enough, she hopped out of their motorboat and pulled it up onto the sand. "Kind of a boring place for a final battle." Nah, you're just picky. I think this looks like a great place to die. "I guess I wanted something more dramatic." I died in a sewer system, be grateful you can see the sky, kiddo. "Fair point." Sharuel fluttered from the boat to land on some nearby rocks, his keen eyes keeping watch on the people in the distance. Sharlin loaded her gun while she waited for Squall to leave their boat, balancing her scythe between her shoulder and elbow. @TheRavenHasLanded

"Sounds great to me!" Sharlin said. Their boat was now speeding up to the new island, it's silhouette making a dark shadow in front of them. She slowed them down as the got to a bay, and surveyed the shore. She was not going to be ambushed in their first five minutes.

Sharlin decided she was tired of waiting around. "Squall, I know you're the boat driver person but I'm taking over! We need to get to that big island thing in the center." She pushed him aside and took the wheel of the boat, turning them so they started to zoom straight towards the final arena. @TheRavenHasLanded

No Eddie it's not your fault!! You deserve a break after everything you did for the last one. I genuinely think our main problem with this one is the map, it's huge so characters never run into each other, and having some characters on the water (mine) means that we can't really have a 'fight scene' if we do run into each other. The islands idea was fun, but I think it could use a lot of tweaks. Next time we should think about having a smaller map, and specific locations that characters can gather at (the casino worked great for that in Cosmere)

"Well that was fast," Sharlin commented as she let it settle in her hands. The scythe had a nice weight to it, and the handle fit into her hand well. She didn't have a lot of training with polearms, but Sharanna had loved dueling canes and other archaic weapons, so Sharlin knew the basics. "Squall, what weapon are you going to pick?" @TheRavenHasLanded (gonna keep pinging you ahhahahhahah)

Sharlin gasped loudly. "I can have any weapon I want?!" Probably something within reason "Is a machine gun within reason?" No "Awwwww . . . oh well, I already have a gun from Mister Woodland anyway." A little speaker popped out of a slot in Sharlin's uniform. "That's Mr. Forrest, young lady." "Whatever, looks like we're going to have to forego your 'righteous hero' plan, huh? Now I have to kill people." "Done sound so excited," The radio voice said, though for once his distinguished cadence seemed tired. "You can still conduct yourself in a noble manner, and complete our deal. Perhaps we can still convey the right message." That sounded suspicious so Sharlin decided it wasn't her business. She hated to make things less fun, but breaking the deal meant having her gun taken away, so . . . "Fine, how do I be all noble and junk." "For one, you could pick an appropriate and fair weapon." The game maker said, relieved she didn't need more convincing. "So definitely no machine gun." "I'm afraid so." Sharlin thought for a moment tapping her chin. "What weapon did you use, Sharp?" Dueling canes, though I don't know if basing your pick off of me is the best idea. I did die. "You didn't die in combat . . ." But she didn't really like the idea of dueling canes. Not flashy enough for her taste. "What did Sharp'i use? Y'know, the one of us who actually won?" Sharp's response was a little more solemn then usual. I believe his final fight was done with a scythe. "Alright then, a scythe it is," Sharlin finally said. Her chest suddenly felt heavy for some reason, but she pushed that aside. One more battle and she could go. Mr. Forrest was silent for a long moment. "A scythe? That seems oddly appropriate for the winner of a death game." And with that, his speaker clicked off and folded away.

"Oooooh this looks fun!" Sharlin said, suddenly standing in the boat and making it rock a little. You not scared it's a trap or something ?? "Nah if they wanted to kill us so easily they'd just send their sea monster thing over." Fair enough. Sharlin grabs her parachute out of the air.

Ooo Elhokar is an interesting choice, I don't hear that one as often. I think bagels are great! My least favorite Sanderson character is from Rhythm of War, have you read that book yet?

Thanks everyone! I'm luckily feeling much better today. I have tried using those techniques, but to be honest I almost always forget . I prefer seeking more potent ways of distracting myself, because while trying to shift your focus is helpful, I live so much in my own head that shifting away from what I'm feeling without making a physical change to what I'm doing is less effective. That is to say, to calm myself down I usually try to focus on other things like a game, or show, etc. I hope you are all doing alright as well! I got to see my sister who lives out of state today, which was super fun. I miss her a lot. Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
