  1. Kealie nodded and kept eating. Eej sunk to the ground beside her—relaxed, apparently.
  2. “I’m getting happy vibes. He likes being acknowledged.”
  3. Eej gathers himself up and waved all his vines in different directions, ecstatic to be addressed in such a manner
  4. “I’m connected to those. I call him Eej. He runs on my life force, which gives me a degree of control over him… but only threats. He’s still annoying.” Eej waved in protest. ”Okay, yes, he’s nice.” Kealie smiled. “It’s nice to have him.” Eej settled down.
  5. “Well… I thought maybe you’d forgotten you’d had rope the whole time. So it turns out that you did.”
  6. No idea, but there’s something in there that can fix his soul, I think. Indignant, Haly returned to important things. She grabbed TAArons shoulders insistently. “Look. If you dont let me come with you, I’ll follow you as a wind chime anyway. You don’t let your friends go places like that alone, ESPECIALLY IF THEIR SOUL IS IN SHAMBLES. Tell him, Tors.” Mentally, she added, So just to clarify, he and I are friends, right? Because I don’t want to be annoying if we’re not friends. Because that’s really annoying.
  7. Kealie went red, remembering several especially volatile times. “I’m lucky any of it actually worked. Sorry about the fire breath.”
  8. LUCKY. I WANT ONE SO BAD. A wind chime, that is.
  9. Haly winced. “Oh yeah. Are you okay? Don’t we need to go to that tower?”
  10. “I’m so glad we killed it! It was scary, but you and Quest were really great.”
  11. “No bowl. Thanks.” Kealie grabbed the pot and started wolfing down the stew. “Vif ith good. Nife job.” Kealie waved, then returned to her stew.
  12. Haly felt a happy pang. He cares about everyone. He’s nice like that. ”Yup, worked. Tors is really nice. I like her voice.” She grinned. “Now I get a trident in my head! Or an anthropomorphic—whatever. It’s cool. That’s my point.”
  13. That’s okay. Hi, Tors! It’s nice to meet you. Wait, connection? So TAAron and I ARE friends. I was wondering.
  14. I’m the happiest person alive.

I have five dragons now, and this one is huge and golden and 3d printed by my uncle and… she’s a work of art. A constellation of only the brightest stars ever…

Her name is Beauregarde. In honor of my uncle, and the ‘regarde’ part just feels regal.

  15. How can I do that? She winced as another piercing bolt of pain shot through her skull. “I’ll… try. Ow.” She took deep breaths, trying to loosen her mind.
  16. “Oh… okay!” Haly grabbed TAAron’s hand and braced herself.
  17. “Sure. How do I do it?” Haly watched the trident curiously. This was by far the coolest thing ever.
  18. Do you like wind chimes?
  19. These words echoed through the crannies of time and space, vibrating in every mind.
  20. Haly nodded, interested. “Cool. Tors the Trident! I like that. Nice name.”
  21. Welcome so many times to 17th shard! Watch out for the evil, fire-breathing death rabbits and the falling telephones. Beware double posts, and watch out for spoilers! Have a great time!
  22. Kealie woke up on a hill under the stars. Eej cradled her with his vines, and she had to admit it was very comfortable. But she was no longer tired, so she sat up and let Eej tip her to her feet. She strolled around, contemplating the day. @Mr. Misting@Channelknight Fadran Nayka finished the cheese, contemplating Whist and Fiadh. They’re not half bad. I like them.
  23. A trident suddenly appeared in TAAron’s hand. “What the…” she pointed at it. “What’s that? Where did you get it?”
  24. Haly shielded her eyes against light. “What was that?” “Ranryu!” Haly jogged over. “What’s up? WhAt is this place? Why are you here?” I hafta go see y’all tomorrow evening
