  1. Kealie: “Ummm… yeah. Probably. But, um, hey, maybe it is! I bet it’s just a bunny. A warm, fuzzy little bunny…” Kealie: nervously “ha ha! Hi. Can you hear the bunny? That…” squeaks “Roaring bunny?”
  2. Haly: “Stress me out? I don’t have stress!…much. I like helping when I can—“ that came out wrong—“Uh, so if you need anything, or anyone else does, I’m available. Pretty much.”
  3. “I’m Kealie. Nice to meet you. Where do you come from?” Be back on tomorrow evening
  4. “So… I guess it kind of was true, a little.” Haly bit her lip, certain she would bungle this—anything that had anything to do with delicate feelings. In other words, human emotion. “I’m not good at this sort of thing. But if it means anything, I’m sorry. About it.”
  5. Uncomfortable in the silence, Kealie spoke. “So… who are you? And you’re friendly, right?”
  6. Kealie: “You’re friendly, then?” Still, Kealie ordered Eej silently. She wasn’t sure how much she wanted him to know about her—and she was feeling oddly protective of Eej, considering he’d just slingshotted her off of her island. “These are my… shawl vines.”
  7. Kealie felt something from Eej—a warning. She bolted upright, on her feet instantly, looked around, and called, “Who’s there?” I don’t know much about this character. I’ll figure out as I go along, and probably post a character template later. But for now, I give you Nayka. Let’s say… short brown hair, dark black eyes, doesn’t like loud noise. Nayka dashed through the streets, heading for Orteo’s docks. If only there were some ship… any ship, as long as it was leaving. She clutched her bundle closer, acutely aware of its sharp edge poking her skin. Before long, the yelling would start… and she’d be done for. If only there were a ship…
  8. Haly: softly “That’s really pretty.” Sips some kind of drink
  9. They fall through the floor and back to the wedding Haly grins hugely “Thabks for coming with me.”
  10. Haly: “It’s beautiful. They’ll love it!” Holds out her hand
  11. Kealie: lifts her head and jumps to her feet, hopeful but terrified “Yes? Is that a person?”
  12. Haly opens a door that shimmers like fire "Here it is."
  13. "Three... two... one..." They fell backward through the floor until they swiveled and were left standing in the bottom of the floor in a sterile concrete hallway with diverse doors made of bizarre materials. It was dark, but around each of their feet could be seen a violet circle of light, like when you shine a flashlight at the floor. Any other light sources cast light farther than should be possible. "This way." Haly started down the hall.
  14. Haly grabs her wrist "Fall backward on the count of three. Kay?"
  15. So they killed all their employees to keep it quiet. Which didn't work.
  16. Haly: "Yeah, in the Belowplace there's a blacksmith shop. I don't know about the clinic. I can take you there!"
  17. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAOof!" If anybody had been there, they would have noticed that something could be clearly seen clinging to a branch of some tree. "...trouble this time! Why can't you be SENSIBLE once in a while? Eej, are you listening to me?" Kealie huffed. Some people linked a wave. Others a tree. But no, of COURSE she'd picked a stupid, sloppy mess of vines instead of a glowing crystal or something with practical use that didn't sling you into a... onto a... where was she? Kealie slowly made her way down the tree, pointedly not enlisting Eej's help, and soon stepped out of the bushlike tree. After brushing off her skirt, she walked around it and examined it, taking in the large spherical leaves and thick limbs that peppered the entire trunk right down to where it vanished into the ground. Never had anything like this grown in any forest back home... The light faded from the forest as if a cloud had gone over the sun, but it reached that level of dimness and kept on growing darker. Kealie shivered and Eej wrapped a supplicating vine around her ankle before the darkness became complete. As Kealie lowered her arm and allowed Eej to crawl up and cower on her shoulders, her mind raced in circles, sick with fright. What was this place? What magic shrouded it? Something thumped against her back. Yelping, she stumbled away and banged into another tree before realizing that those were, in fact, what they were. She sunk to the ground in fright, hardly noticing when little red lights faded into view around her.
  18. We just got back to school (I'm in high school) and... I am not happy. I was told by a teacher that this is a prime time in our lives! We don't have to worry about rent or food or other irritating bothers... but then school takes up most of our time and makes it VERY HARD to spend more waking hours in school than with our families. What if we only went to school one week out of every two? The teachers could condense all the homework time and wasted moments to teach two lessons' worth. But no. Instead, everybody thinks this formula should be reality (and it mostly is nowadays):

    School=1/2 childhood waking hours

    What a societal mistake.

(If you wanna read more rants on this subject, I will enclose a document as soon as I can for your perusal. Make sure to cite your sources!)

I agree completely with your rant, except that your point was the teacher's point. He's a great teacher.

Ah, I can see that I misinterpreted your original post. Sorry about that.
