  1. Jove growled down in his throat, annoyed. “Why should multiple people die? It’s my job to keep you guys in check. Even if some of you staunchly resist my efforts.”
  2. “I still get to test it first,” Jove insisted, just to make sure that was clear. Haly glided down from the tree and solidified. “We wouldn’t need a door,” she offered. “I can let people through it. Unless the magic stops me.” (She can go through nonliving stuff)
  3. I like these people. Very, very much. “I… I didn’t think…” Nayka whimpered. “They’re so scary…” The officer stirred and Nayka yelped, but it wasn’t all acting this time. She scooted back, but there was nowhere to go but the wall. So she cowered there as the officer sat up and rubbed her head. (Realistic for half-strength Hwindi breath?)
  4. A nine-year-old with a bun and business clothes walks up to him “Another new one? Seriously? What is that, three in a week?” Sighs “I’m from the UIW. I’m not a patient, and I’m here to make sure any magically unstable patients stay away from magically unstable realms. Welcome.” “If that works,” Jove added, “I’m going to test it next.”
  5. “I’m bored. I’m going to go sit in a tree.” Haly turned into a wind chime and swooped to the top of a nearby tree, assuming there is one, and settled her birds all over the branches.
  6. Jove sighed and sat down. “Man, I am so fired.” Haly rolled her eyes. “We’ve for bigger problems. Like getting home and TAAron’s soul.” ”What’s wrong with his… oh yeah, my boss boss mentioned that, I think.”
  7. Woahhhhh Thats incredible. The shading… AHH.
  8. Found some images on the internet. I’m bad at being precise.
  9. “That’s my kind of theory.” Haly peered into the darkness. “Doesn’t seem right, though.”
  10. GORGEOUS Ngl, the first couple posts I saw I thought you’d googled something. Seriously, you’re amazing.
  11. “Maybe the shoreline was here before the void.” Haly stood on her tiptoes and peered into the mist.” “You too,” Jove warned. “Don’t die.” Then, under his breath, he added, “I hate resumes.”
  12. Haly stops “Careful, Kareena.” Jove leaned toward her, ready to grab her if she started walking. “If you die, it’s going on my resume.”
  13. Nayka’s eyes began to leak. “I didn’t know you’d get in trouble,” she sobbed to Whist. “I don’t want to go to Leegl people. They’re scary. I’m scared, Whist… I’m scared…” she broke down crying. Honestly, she almost laughed. But that would ruin the act. Stay in character. If you don’t think, then you are how you act. It’s clearing your brain that’s the problem. Luminance, she missed Buka.
  14. Haly shook her head. “Let’s go.” Walks to the darkness and steps in, and poof. She was purple. Haly looked down at herself. “Aw, chasms,” she groaned. “Well, at least I didn’t blow up. Let’s go.” @The Aspiring Archivist@Nameless@Kajsa
  15. Haly bristled. “Excuse me, nothing is wrong with me.” She paused, sorrow and uncertainty entering her expression. “At least, not right now. How come TAA—um, Tristan didn’t blow up?”
  16. Jove looked around. “I can imagine that. That was my last Permissive.” He sighed and strode over to Haly, then held out his hand for her to shake. “I’m Jove.” ”Pleased to meet you.” Haly dipped into a curtsy, not having seen his hand, and then fell over. “I’m Byrd.” Jove shook his head. “This isn’t good.” ”Why does everyone keep saying that? Why…” Haly trailed off, her eyes sharpening to an alertness hitherto absent. “What was I saying? What’s wrong with me?”
  17. “I’m an agent for UIW. Unstable Individuals Watch. A lot of the people in the clinic are unstable to some degree, but her—“ jerks head at Haly, who is playing with her invisibility pin and flashing in and out of view— “She’s the most unstable, both genetically and magically, that I’ve ever seen.”
  18. Byrd grabbed him and pulled him back. “Not yet. We should wait until we can all die together!” “I’m not sure. I know the most about her and her abilities, though, which could potentially be helpful.” He glanced over at Haly, concerned. “She’s… it worries me, and my superiors.”
  19. Yes… sort of. I used to play violin, but I haven’t for a few years. And to say I play piano would be a stretch. I can’t noteread super easily; I just play by ear. And I’m not incredible at that either. Would you rather be a salty blueberry or a marshmallow slathered in popcorn butter?
  20. He sighed. “Look at her.” ”Look at me what?” Haly examined her arms. “I knew it. Am I turning into a blueberry? That happened in a play once, but I’ve never seen it.”
  21. The boy held up his hands. “I came to help her.” He pointed at Haly, who watched him curiously. “She’s going insane.” “Don’t worry about it. We have more pressing matters now.”
  22. Byrd watched Tristan blankly. “Afraid? Why would I be…” she stopped. She faintly remembered feeling fear… but that had been silly. There was nothing to be afraid of. “I’m not scared.” The boy yelled, but the magic was already underway, and the glass shattered, reforming around their heads, whisked them away, and dropped them near Nameless, TAAron (Tristan), and Haly (Byrd).
  23. The boy looked up blankly. “Huh?” Another voice entered Byrd’s head. Permission to follow you? “Sure,” she giggled. “Why not?” “I have to go,” the boy apologized. “I need to find Haly. No time to explain.”
