    "I'm looking for Quiet Golden Eyes. I know she came through this port city." Gail gasped. The castle was cool. Qodi hopped off of her and sniffed around for very important reasons. Are they in the castle?

    Veyendis smiled. “I hope you don’t mind,” he told Insa, then rested a head on her forehead. @InfiniteInsanity “…I guess that’s okay.” Haly looked away.

    “We’re bonded,” Veyendis said. “Together, we have healing abilities, plus some enhancements and random stuff like that.” Haly shrugged. “I don’t mind it.”

    “Oh.” Maybe that would explain the connection. “I’m sorry.” @InfiniteInsanity He knelt next to her and the nightingale hopped onto her shoulder, feathers brushing her cheek. The pain eased a little bit. “Feel anything?” He asked.

    Veyendis returned after several minutes with a lil nightengale on his shoulder. He walked up to Insa, beaming. “Hey! Can we try something? It might help.” @InfiniteInsanity

    “That was before. This is now.” The stoat on her head squeaked again. She jerked her head, knocking it off balance. “Well?” Erif was one of the ones who Gail was with, right?

    He came back about ten minutes later with a plate of chicken, salad, and mashed potatoes. “Is this okay? Or would you prefer something lighter?” He glanced up at the ceiling again. “Because. Because it wasn’t your fault. You wouldn’t have found me, anyway.”

    "Usually the rest of our language is squished words and names are said in full. But it's different here." He chuckled. "Took me a while to get the hang of it. I'll be right back-- I'm gonna go get Insa some food." He nodded. "I'll go find a kitchen."
