  1. “You gotta tell us.” He nodded. “You can join them if you want. Stea and I got this.”
  2. For a fleeting moment, he questioned why he was so scared of her. Just for a moment. He took her hand to check her pulse— yup, she was indeed living, and she didn’t seem to need anything but a nap. That was good, he thought to himself. He blew her hair off her face so she wouldn’t wake up with hair in her mouth, then sat back and busied himself with cleaning his dagger and sorting everything in his bag again.
  3. “Yeah…” He looked surprised. “I just wanted to check in on them… I didn’t realize you wanted to come with me still.” He opened the door to a warmly lit barn interior. Some fires were going in little pits and there were plenty of chairs and hay bales, along with snack tables. A small group had started dancing in the middle.
  4. He rubbed it. “Ah… it’s fine. Not even bleeding… I… think my tattoos… did something.” It was too weird to think about. “Take this.” He handed her a small, pale leaf. “It should stabilize you, just in case.”
  5. “I… gods?” “It does, I guess.” He paused in front of a warm-colored dark wooden door. “Should be the right one. Shall we?”
  6. Grrr I suppose you have a point. I’d definitely like to write something somewhat emotional, at least, because seeing how different people write emotion is very fun.
  7. Bat came back about five minutes later, feeling lightheaded. He knelt next to Tam— not too close, though. “You don’t look so good.” He avoided looking in Stone’s direction. Well, what was left of— STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT.
  8. “Be careful not to come here unless I’m with you, though. Or Haly. Unless one of us are around, you’ll… probably just ram into the floor.”
  9. “You find meaning,” she whispered. “Find meaning wherever you can. Squeeze it out of the ground, you little worm! Find it wherever you can! It won’t last long.” She threw back her head and laughed until she coughed.
  10. I wouldn’t say it needs to be a drama— it just has to have an important emotional moment for the character. Action scene would be okay (I’m bad at those cough cough), and I like the heist idea. NO NO SCUDDING QUIERO IR A MI CAMA. MI CAMA LE REPUGNO. DORMIR TOMA MUCHO TIEMPO Y NECESITO MÁS TIEMPO PARA MI SALUD MENTAL.
  11. “I don’t think you’d know her. I hardly know her myself. She goes by Haly, usually.” He reached up and ran his fingers through the firelights. “what mortal?”
  12. (Hehehe sorry) The scene definitely needs to be high emotion. I don’t have anything particular in mind, but maybe a verbal argument or breakup, or perhaps some kind of a murder. Maybe the MC has been lying to the side character this whole time— oh no what a catastratastophe. @Through The Living Glass you mean mother don’t leave meeee
  13. “Tell me,” she demanded. “Evalyn Basilica called it the Belowplace. I prefer to call them the Glowing Hallways, unwieldy as that is.” His nightingale hopped off his shoulder into the air and snapped at the little blue firefly lights. They parted so she could fly through them.
  14. Stone had been an Ennuller, Bat realized. A new level of horror glazed what had just happened. Oh, rax, he should have worried more. Focus. She wouldn’t hurt you. You know she wouldn’t… but ALL THAT BLOOD… She looks tired. What if she got hurt? She was with Cricket. Cricket would help her with that. He was her friend too, and probably a better one. He’d— Bat stopped thinking to deposit his breakfast beside a tree, then walked off into the forest to clear his head.
  15. Bat raised his knife again when the energy shield went down, but then… then… oh bloody narration, that looked awful. He turned away, repressing the impulse to throw up.
  16. “So? What do we have to worry about?” She was in a dark hallway. A golden glowing circle of light shone on the floor beneath her feet, shifting with her steps. The walls were lined with doors of various colors, designs, and shapes, and tiny blue glowing motes floated in the air above her head. A new circle appeared as Vey stepped down as well. “You didn’t even trip! Nice. The lounge is this way.” He walked down the hallway.
  17. Bat also tried to aid in this with his dagger. Rather clumsily. He was strong, though.
  18. “I’m fine.” Cricket. He moved over to cricket. “Cricket, you okay?” @Ookla the Irreplaceable
  19. ? Bat stumbled back, panic and adrenaline suddenly overtaking him. But nothing had happened. He frowned and examined his shoulder. The bullet had only pierced the first layer of skin— the tattoos in the area had collapsed in, as if they’d somehow kept the bullet out like some kind of armor.
  20. Bat should have done something faintly heroic. He should have thrown the knife, or at least turned and run. But he froze. Again. He was going to die. shoot him if you want
  21. Could I kill him? :3 Bat felt like throwing up. He slashed at Stone again.
  22. He held up his hands. “All right. Go ahead.” She looked over at TAAron. “That… doesn’t sound good.”
  23. “I could hold your hand if that helps. Sometimes it does.”
  24. “So what do we do?” “Yeah. Wanna try it?”
  25. Stop it! You said you wouldn’t hurt her! You PROMISED.
