    Bat licked his lips and stabbed at Stone again, hopefully catching him on the side. at some point Bat has to kill someone in a specific way so if you ever have a random person he can kill lemme know

    Bat stumbled back, wheezing for breath. No! I’ve never fought anyone! im Guessing ud be mad if chrickets brother died?

    He took a deep, shuddering breath. Okay. Fine. He jumped forward. His form was absolutely awful, though.

    Wait are they talking about bat or cricket’s bro? Bat cant hear either way but “You… you don’t keep your promises, though.” I’ve never fought anyone before, Cricket… I don’t think I can do this.

    “Hmm.” He told them. Most of them just stared at him. “No, I’m serious!” He did it, and then came back up. “Trust me!”

    He froze. Oh, gosh, she was right. He’d literally said he didn’t keep his promises. Bat groaned. He was such an idiot! Bat really didn’t want to do that.

    He nodded. “Tell them all to fall backward.” “What?? Is he okay???”

    I… uh… okay. He was screwed, screwed, screwed. No! But he’ll leave you and everyone else alone! “Wait! Wait. What are the rules?”

    She shook her head. He nodded. “All right.”

    Bat nodded and bit his cheek hard. Let’s fight up there, he suggested. And…… you get………killed?

    Bat swallowed hard. He slowly let go of her. “Even if I lose, right? You’ll leave them alone?” What else do we do? She cackled and vanished with a crack and a whisp of smoke.

    Last year was awful. 

    Judging by today, this coming year’s gonna be a whole lot worse. 

    Yay. 

    Anyway that’s my status atm.

    Lady Bug grinned. “Here.” Money rained from the sky. “Now you don’t need a job! Now everything’s MEANINGLESS!!” She laughed again. you’re prolly in a different setting than bat and tam and cricket and stone “Yes. Indeed.” Bat wouldn’t be able to beat him. But maybe if it helped Tam… “I’ll fight you,” he called desperately. “If you’ll leave Tam and Cricket and… and everyone else alone.”

    “Psh. Who needs a job?” A woman with frazzled purply black hair and a red dress appeared. “I can give you ALLLLL THE MONEY IN THE WORLLLLLLD.” Her voice boomed as she laughed.

    Yep it works Bat froze. Weak. He knew he was a good person. He always tried his best. But deep down, he understood. Life wasn’t about effort. Life was pass/fail, and today, that pass/fail was life and death. Not only for him— for his friend, his favorite person he’s ever met. His hand trembled, clutching the dagger more tightly. Weak.

    Bat was not only confused, but how nervous. He reached into his boot and pulled out his Nullite dagger, though it felt so small and insignificant. Instinctively, he hugged Tam just a tiny bit tighter. YES PLZ JUAT MAKE A CHARACTER ANS HAVE RHEIR ACTUONF IN BOLD ILL HAVE LADY BUG COME SAY HI (she’s been kinda off recently don’t blame her ahahaha)

    Oh. Okay. He awkwardly wrapped his arms around her too, still incredibly confused as to the situation.

    She blushed. “No, no. Not at all. I like it.” He nodded and chewed his lip. He took a deep breath and fell backward… …vanishing into the floor. After a couple seconds, he flew back up, stumbling. “Okay, we should be able to do it, then.”

    Bat’s eyes widened. He turned red confusedly. ….Tam……………….ok? Who………….said?

    Ok so its these lil magic scales that get energy from the sun and oil is used to make things happen with those scales also uh yeah I don’t think that many ppl have actual bdays today
