  1. “Just wanted to make sure nothing was on fire.” He sat next to her. “My fingering is not wrong,” she muttered, taking the corrections nonetheless. She strummed. “Nope!”
  2. He offered her a small smile and opened the front door, went in, and closed it softly. He let out a long breath and ran his hand through his hair. “Well, here goes nothing,” he said to Feather.
  3. “Sorry,” he told Feather, petting him. He looked back up at her. “Thanks.” She copied him. “And then just strum?” ”Ow. Strumming is hard,” she grumbled. She curled around his neck protectively. “Sun up in two hours.”
  4. It led them to an old decrepit looking room with drawings and maps pinned on the walls. The phasing thing vanished.
  5. “We’ll see. Anything else?” She snorted. “Yeah, duh.” He felt the crazy magicky stuff inside him ebb, flowing into Eepy. “Cadey okay?” She chirped.
  6. It fuzzed frantically when he got close, then snapped out of the glitch and fled down the hallway. “Come on,” Becky said, dashing after it.
  7. “But it’s true this time. She can’t handle my problems. I’ll be okay.” She clung to him tightly. “Cadey, no,” she whined. She can suck magic with her claws; are you cool with that? “Yeah. It was stupid.” She picked up hers, copying how he’d positioned his.
  8. "First I would like to know something about each of you."
  9. She spread her wings, blocking his way. I don't think so. I think you're going to give that back.
  10. Ruia nodded to the students. "Welcome." The woman lifted her chin in a... sort of greeting.
  11. She slapped his face with her tail. "Cadey! Stop!"
  12. Ye I might have to just offer a sharder discount...
  13. Thank you I might try something like that .........liquid toast? ........ ... is it good?
  14. "I'm..." He trailed off. "I know," he whispered. "I just... I can't put that on her. And I'll be okay." "No, no," she soothed, guiding him back to the chair. His footprints from earlier began to crackle and the floor began to burn. "What do you want to eat?" She reached out and picked up the top of the platter to reveal Eepy, eyes glazed and dead with an apple in her mouth. The fire spread across the floor toward them.
  15. As much as they've tormented me, she huffed. It's the natural way of things.
  16. She blinked back to life. "My apologies. I'm not sure what happened, or where the plot was lost. Remind me what we were doing?" "Oh, calm down," she said, tugging him down into a chair. Her hand blistered where she touched him, but she didn't seem to notice. The chair hissed from heat. "Now what would you like to eat?" He flinched when she touched him. "I don't know what you mean." It's okay. I know how that is If you need to set the plot aside and do something a little more lighthearted, I could probably run something for you
