  1. “Just get to the nearest town somehow. Lemme know which one, and we’ll come get you.” - She blushed. “Me too.” Bat frowned. No, not good thing. He led her down the hallway to a door at the end of the hall. He reached up above the doorframe for the key, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. The room was dark. Any light filtering from outside was tainted blue frim his curtains, but when he flicked on the light, it felt much warmer, like a tidy little cave. Somebody had made the bed very nicely. The desk had a stack of books on it, but they’d been carefully straightened. The clear carpeted floor contrasted with the clutter of the rest of the house. “You gonna be okay alone in here?” She couldn’t help blushing just a teeny tiny bit. He better not notice. He better not. —She wasn’t blushing anyway. It was just hot in here, was all.
  2. IN sacrament meeting?? …dang i hadn’t really looked at the new ones …I cannot imagine it even a bit
  3. Aden finally returned. I’ll send you your location and ours. Just get to the nearest town and wait. I need to discuss something with Irie. - “A little. Yeah. And… I feel warm inside. Warm and tickly.” He nodded. “I’m sure. I want you to be comfortable. Shall we?” Fox peeked her head back around the wall and stared critically at Tam.
  4. “I do.” Though… he had promised to try and keep an eye on her. She’d be okay just through the night, right? …right? - Fox narrowed her eyes at her and grinned. Then she left into the kitchen. He was silent for a minute. - She blushed more deeply and leaned on his shoulder. “I’ve never felt quite like this.”
  5. Hehehe >:)) He shook his head. “No, it’s okay. Everything’s clean, don’t worry.” Fly dropped her fork on her empty plate with a clang. “I’m gonna go find some cookies!” She yelled, and ran off away from the kitchen. Fox scoffed at the younger girl and left for the kitchen. “Your girlfriend want anything?” Bat glared at her. “Well, now you know as much as I do.” I’ll try and track your call. Stay on the line. - She blushed. “Like what?”

  7. Bat reached over and took her hand— under the table, of course. Chaos had taken over the table again. “Is Moss coming home tonight?” ”Mmhmm,” his mother said, lifting a flailing Snow onto her lap. He didn’t seem happy about it. “Ava can sleep on the couch. Or you can sleep on the couch. I locked your room when you left.” “Gosh, thanks,” he said, thinking of all thw things that could have happened to the room if she hadn’t. The line was quiet for a minute. You’re kidding. - She turned red in embarrassment. “Are you… here, sorry…” she let go of his arm.
  8. The phone came alive. Vi? What’s up? I haven’t seen you I’m ages.
  9. “I need to talk to the council. But that’s it.”
  10. She smiled. “Thank you! So, Bat, how long are you in town?” He shrugged. “I dunno. We’ll see. I’m… working on it.” Five smiled at him and timidly took his arm again.
  11. “Cheddar casserole.” It was indeed— not just cheddar, but several kinds of cheeses, plus cubes of ham and a bunch of well-seasoned mushrooms.
  12. “You too! Everyone, this is Ava,” Mrs. Whitlock announced. “You’re too good looking for her,” Fox informed him. Fly threw a plastic cup at her head, which she ducked. Bat just sighed. “How’s the food?” He murmured to her.
  13. Five hopped out. “We should go find Aden and Irie.” She shrugged, something bitter flashing in her eyes.
  14. The two littlest, who were fighting over a fork, stopped and stared. For a moment, the room was quiet. “Ooooo,” the older one (maybe eleven or twelve, but younger than the teenage River) smirked. “Bat’s got a giiiiiiirl.” Bat turned red. “She’s my friend, Fox.” Fox smirked again and winked at him. “Sure, sure.” Bat got even redder. “I’m Fly!” The next littlest said, climbing onto the table. She spread her arms and flapped them. “And I can fly! See??” She jumped off the table into a well-placed pile of blankets that looked rather well used. The littlest one giggled. “Snow.”
  15. Uhhh… since I started traveling with you guys. So maybe a couple months.
