    “Night.” He retreated quickly. He met Reginald there. “Good evening. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen you before,” he said pleasantly.

    Bat arrived in the doorway, blushing furiously. He’d just gotten away from Fox. “Snow, stop bothering her. Come on. You can lock the door if you want,” he told her. “I’m really sorry about them…” He hadn’t heard anything, but he could guess based on Fox. “WHY’S EVERYONE OVER HERE??” Fly crashed into Bat, then ran into the room and touched Snow. “TAGYOU’REIT!” Giggling, Snow chased her out. Bat cleared his throat. “…anyway. Uh. Night.”

    “I’ll see you in a bit…” She gave him a quick, strained grin and hurried to her father. He didn’t look at her, instead turning back into the main room. She followed.

    Snow dashed back in, clutching something. “If you marry him I’ll give you this!” Beaming triumphantly, he offered her a green crystal shaped like a cat.

    They did some twirls and stuff, and the song ended. How long had her father been standing by that arch? “Th- thanks for dancing,” she said. “I should go.” What can I say :PP “Aw,” he whined, and ran out of her room. he’ll be back in just a second

    She shrugged. “It’s… kind of nice. Wanna do something cool?”

    He nodded vigorously. “Yeah. I like you. And I want Bat to be more happy. Fox says he needs more people. If you were my sister, he’d see you all the time!” He paused. “How would you become my sister?”

    Aww :(( Great. There would be no escaping the attention now. Put a sock in it. Just this once, enjoy this. She stepped a little closer. “She’s never! She’s too smart,” he said loyally.

    “Well, Fox said so,” he insisted, hugging her knees tighter. “And Fox says she’s allllways right.” HAH TAM

    Hehe :3 He smiled, satisfied. Then he ran over and hugged her knees. “Fox told me you’re gonna be my sister. I think you’d be a good sister.”

    Hes a lil boy He looked relieved. “Okay. So Bat’s gonna be my brother forever?”

    “Oh, okay.” “Hi,” he said shyly. “Are you my sister now?”

    “Night, Tam.” He retreated and closed the door. Five minutes later, it eased open again. Snow’s big eyes peeked through.

    It made him feel small. Small and weak. Especially since she had some darn good reasons to demand that promise. He rested his head on her shoulder and hugged her back.

    “I… fine. I promise.” He looked down at the ground. Awwwww boooooo She took it. “Why don’t we take the helicopter?”

    He folded his arms. “Tam, I’ll be fine.” “Aw,” she said sadly, and let go. “What’s the plan?”

    “You’re warm too,” she mumbled, hugging him tighter. She felt like falling asleep. “I promise I’ll be fine.”

    “Tam, I’ll be fine. I promise.”

    “I’m not waking you up. You never seem to get enough sleep.”

    He hung up. - She closed her eyes, expecting to panic. But she didn’t. It was just… warm. Warm and quiet and safe. “Thank you,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around him. She rested her head on his chest. “You need sleep.”

    “Thanks.” He hugged her again. He didn’t want to leave her alone. She’ll be fine. He let go of her and smiled a little, stepping back to the door. “Sleep well, kay?”

    How u She decided not to press him. This was already a very tangled situation… We’re not gonna worry about that. We’re just gonna dance. “Do you know how awful I’d feel if you didn’t?”

    :3 Also hi btw “Thanks. I’ve spent years practicing. You’re amazing too— at dancing,” she clarified. He hugged her back, then gave her a little squeeze. “Promise? Even if you just wake up and feel sad?” In Dallia? Sure. - She stiffened at the proposal automatically. “I… sure. Let’s try it.”
