  1. Dave stretched as he walked out of his very comfortable room. He should probably talk with the locals, ok travelers, before resting. He also should probably get some food. Prioties and all that. Wandering into the main foyer Dave raised an eyebrow at a rather interesting humanoid shaped amalgamation. Dave walked over, absently fiddling with a chain around his hand. "I take it your...sentient?"
  2. The witch quirked an eyebrow. "Aren't you her mentor? Shouldn't you protect her?" Arcaene looked around worriedly at the ever increasing dangers of the battlefield. This was getting so weird. And just because Arcaene had wanted to do a routine sacrifice. The girl called out to her. "So, witch, what was your name again?" Arcaene called back, as she flipped through pages in her book. "Yeah, we were past that point at the lava." Muttering a quick incantation a portal appeared behind Kealie's neck. A scaled hand shot out towards her throat.
  3. Dave shrugged. "I don't know. I've heard of people having to sleep in mangers and such." Dave took the key from Fadran and began to stroll down the hall, whistling a light tune.
  4. "Oh! Well would you happen to have an open room? I seem to be in needs of lodging."
  5. Arbiter Dave grinned "Can't say I've heard that one to often either. Do you happen to know who runs this place?" Dave said, gesturing to the building.
  6. Arbiter shrugged. "Just shooting in the dark. I guess you can call me Dave. It works as well as any other name I suppose."
  7. "Hmm." Arbiter nodded, while still holding an edge of a grin. "Why hello Enter. I'm...hmm. I probably need a name. Is Dave common enough?"
  8. "Ah." Arbiter's eyes glazed over for a second. "Yes, that works fine. What is everyone doing here?"
  9. Arbiter rocked back and forth on his heels surveying the odd people of the room with a wry grin on his face. Eventually, he walked up to the counter and calmy waited there, thoroughly amused by the whole situation. @xinoehp512
  10. The witch frowned. "Well it's yours even less. If you won't give me my rightly owned stone then I be forced to use more violent methods. And don't try games like last time."
  11. Arbiter walked up to Fadran. "Why hello. Would you happen to know what universe this is?"
  12. A circle of runes formed in front of Kealie and Vance. The center turned to a vortex of glowing sand and somebody began to step out. She held a iron lantern and thick tome, and see looked thoroughly displeased. The witch nodded towards Vance. "I see you found your way around my house. That will be addressed shortly. For now, give me the aether stone." Miyako flipped open the canteen and began to let the Shadow envelop her. Just before she went into a killing spree she caught the blade being raised to Yerik's throat. Barely restraining herself from murdering someone she watched to see how Hyron would handle it.
  13. "You go get Yerik and I'll take care of everyone else?" Miyako grinned at Hyron. "Oh, and do you have any water?"
  14. Miyako whispered to the voice. "Good punching bags." Miyako began bouncing on the balls of her feet, gauging the number of soldiers in the room. "What's the plan Viney?"
  15. "She ran out the door earlier. I think's she still close 'cause someone's been messing with my magic." Miyako raised her fists and eyed the guards surrounding them.
  16. Miyako whispered to Hyron. "Do you hear that voice also?"
  17. Hrm. I had much more time then a thought I would have and a really interesting idea for the first prompt. So, umm, stories: 1/1/23: The Cycle Resets 1/2/23: Old Relic 1/3/23: Treasured Curse
  18. Arbiter tripped into a universal wormhole. No other context necessary. He tumbled out the end of the wormhole but still managed to land lithely land on his feet. Arbiter straightened and addressed (Whomever chooses to acknowledge me). "Why hello. Umm, what universe would this be?"
  19. Miyako slipped back into consciousness, gasping for air. Fear gripped at her as she remembered the rope stealing away her life, slowly choking, but...Hyron had saved her. She felt there body tight against her own, felt their magic dancing around her. Miyako wanted to laugh and cry and run all at the same time. And Hyron...she wanted to kiss them until she lost her breath all over again. They were dangerous feelings, the kind that could lead to pain, but at the moment Miyako didn't particularly care. No, focus. You can do all that stuff later. Guards surrounded Miyako and Hyron and the princess seemed to be healing or something. Yerik, oh acolyte, he was slumped against the ground, having lost his will to fight. But Hyron had saved her, someone might actually cared. And there was no way in Orteo that Miyako was going to let the Queen take Hyron from her. Miyako would fight tooth and nail first, it's just that clean cut. Breathing in deeply, Miyako reached out for her Shadow. The cold darkness swept over her, trying to make into little more then a soulless killer. But this time it was tempered with a lone spark of purpose, a warmth that Miyako held close in the storm. Miyako began to stand, snapping the measly threads that held her down. Hyron's vibrant aura intermeshed with the soul of night that surrounded her. Miyako grinned.
  20. HAPPY (14 minute belated) NEW YEAR! (To all you mountain standard time people)

  21. This seems quite fun! I don't know if I will have a lot of time to write for the next couple of days, but after that I'll certainly try and do the prompts when I find the time. It's also probably good I didn't write today. All my ideas were either cliché high fantasy troupes or horribly horribly dark.
  22. I just got Shovel Knight! I certainly am digging (ha!) the game so far.

Seems very fun for the 3 something hours I could play last night. I might be a little behind the curve, in terms of release date...but I got to start somewhere.

Slight grievance though: Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and Shovel Knight Dig look deceptively alike when purchasing. I'm not saying I bought the wrong game first or anything.........but..........

      The Aspiring Archivist

Of course you didn't! That would be ridiculous.
