Nice. I run a Githzerai monk. He has a homebrew item that lets him take an extra actions for a minute at the cost of getting exhaustion. With double dashing, unarmored movement, and a useless subclass feature, I flew across a 600 foot pool of lava.
That was fun.
Open hand actually is pretty bad.
You're a fragile class. You won't insta-kill that often, so you're using your turn to deal 10d10 necrotic.
Compare that to Kensi, which can spontaneously make +3 weapons, or Sun Soul, which has amazing range.
It's mostly a meme, but a lot of DMs use it just for kicks and giggles.
Or you can be like me and create an Aarakocra Sun Soul monk that has roughly the capabilities of M-Bot
Ok, reach out... Anmil closed their eyes and felt... something. A softly glowing sphere of color. Tuncay's mind. Anmil reached out... and took a little from it.
That was... surprisingly easy.
"I think that I did it... your turn, I guess."
9th level monks get an ability that says that they can run up vertical surfaces and they can run on water. Therefore, you can run vertically up water!
I'm glad that you enjoyed my poison.
That's such a weird thing to say...
The rift in space-time, being the most random thing in this thread thus far, is under my power. It dumps the sandwich in front of me, everyone else in a large sandstone building, and AesSedai in their office just in time for payday.
Yeah, that seems amazing.
If you want something fun to use while DMing or to show to your DM, try this monstrosity of a poison that I made a while back. It's quite fun...
Also, Monks can run up rain. Facts.
However, I wasn't playing American football. I was playing actual civilized football, i.e. soccer. I end up in a web of corruption from FIFA, but otherwise escape unscathed.
