  1. One. Who wants to help me yell at InfiniteInsanity to get more sleep?
  2. A few...It's been a while... How much sleep did you get last night?
  3. Rym gritted his teeth and held onto the mordite blade in the creature's chest as it tried to attack him. He suffered scratches and gashes across his arms and torso. Then he turned and stabbed the Plotblade into the creature's shifting head.
  4. Rym rolled under the creature's attack, parrying it's strikes. It'll wear me out at this point, he thought. This sword can kill Narrators! What's keeping this thing alive? Rym spun and managed to sever the creature's wrists, knocking the sword to the ground again. He stabbed it in the chest, then grabbed the Plotblade, holding tight with magic in case the creature tried to re-summon it.
  5. Rym teleported behind the monster, beheading it, then waiting for it to re-form. It'll have to die sometime...right? Right? Rym spun to the fleeing guards and Narrated them somewhere safe. They vanished.
  6. I unfortunately can't say that all people of our religion will always treat people of the LGBTQ+ community respectfully all the time. But that doesn't mean that there aren't those who do. Even if the church doesn't fit all the way on that level, it doesn't mean you shouldn't leave. It doesn't mean that you can't accept your place on Earth, as long as you understand that you are more than this life and this experience. I've found so much solace in my life with the simple fact that we existed before we came here and that we will continue to exist afterwards. Things that seem hard and difficult suddenly make sense and have a place in the eternal perspective. You have a place in heaven, as well. Of course, I'm straight. I don't understand the difficulties that plenty of others that I know face. So my "advice" might seem like no more than the ranting of a self-righteous person who doesn't understand. But please keep in mind that Christ understands. If you go to him and our Heavenly Father, they understand your position in a way no one else does, and if you ask and listen, they'll guide you through. Think of what good this church has done in your life, and what it can do for you in the next. And, disregarding all of that, you're still an amazing person who deserves to be happy. You're a cool person, Witless! We love having you on the Shard and interacting with you. There are people who love you and want to help you, and if you need professional help, then that's fine too. We're glad you're with us, and we hope that you realize your worth.
  7. Avi blinked. Being a Reaper afforded a lot more freedom than she assumed.
  8. Rym snatched the Plotblade from the ground, and, wielding both swords, dove after the monster. He slashed the swords in an X across the creature's back.
  9. Rym ducked under the monster's swing and parried the next one with his Mordite sword. As the monster reeled he stabbed it in the chest with the black blade. Here at TLT, we believe in re-starting dead storylines!
  10. The Clinic: Roof Bookwyrm felt his mental signal hit a barrier and fade away. Worlds, why can't this just be easy once... Bookwyrm snapped his fingers and changed his outfit again. He wore a blue tunic with a few plates of armor across his chest and upper arms and sturdy leather boots. On his arms were simple gauntlets, and he wore his traditional deep blue cloak behind him. His glasses, of course, stayed the same. He summoned his spear-staff again, channeling latent magic through it. He wreathed it's speartip in Nightfire as the white crystal on the other side began to glow with a blue light. "Let's see if we can't help at all," he said to Insa. I don't think it's possible to help Emma at this point...Is it? The strange voice answered. No. Kaos has put its full attention on her. I'd go as far to say that Emma is Kaos, now. Or at least an Avatar so strong as to make the difference insignificant. Bookwyrm nodded. We'll have to stamp out Kaos at it's source if we want a small chance of saving her. I don't even know if it's possible to save her, in that case. The future is clouded, and it's hard to trace the worldlines. What if we had the Creator's pure Light? Darkness, in and of itself, will easily fade to light, of any source. Even though it's the source of evil, darkness has no substance. Light casts no shadow. However, Kaos is more than just darkness. There's a being in there; a sense of solidity that allows the darkness to withstand all but the strongest light. Kaos is the fusion of deep darkness and a god that was once pure. A Raven. A god connected to Emma. The Raven's essence gives the darkness solidity, and being infused with the universal constant of chaos, gives the thing we fight a deep and dangerous power. The Creator is gone, for now. Like I said, the worldlines are hard to trace. I've exposed myself, and you, to corruption because I see light in the future; I only hope that my sight is not in vain. You know...I would like to know who exactly you are. Introductions will be made, in time, he responded with the sense of a smile. For now, there is a fight to take part in. Bookwyrm nodded and dove into the fray, fighting towards Emma. @The Wandering Wizard @InfiniteInsanity
  11. The Clinic: Roof Bookwyrm stood there for a moment. "What?!" He opened a mental channel to Calano. Calano! He sent with an urgent energy. Emma's alive! @CalanoCorvus @The Wandering Wizard
  12. Avi blinked at the strange turn in the conversation. Those two are certainly acting awkward...Though am I one to talk...? She took a bite of her food, swallowed, then winced as a stab of pain flared up in her side. It might be a while before I'm healed fully. "Kaeni," she asked, changing the topic. "You said you thought we could go anywhere in Figeri. Do you know...how much time we usually get to go on our own...um...assignments? As in, seperate from Reaper assignments?"
  13. But perhaps, if a brave soul were to go on a quest, Plot would be resurrected due to it's very nature...
  14. The Clinic: Roof "It wasn't your fault," Bookwyrm assured her. "It was Kaos. And, for the time being, you're free from it's control, even if the Corruption isn't gone."
  15. Bookwyrm was confused by the sudden creation of things like Plotblades and the fact that Plot was now personified. Meanwhile, Rym went to go find a Plotblade. He was kind of becoming a sword collector.
  16. Whoa. This is really good, Telrao. Even though It's not all the way accurate to my mental image, I think you did manage to capture the general vibe and way I describe him. Perfectly. I can't believe I used the word vibe again Nice job! I like this a lot!
  17. I will sign up as... Um... Gerald Heloux, a minor nobleman who doesn't like being a nobleman. He thinks it's boring. I couldn't think of anything else.
  18. Knights of Wind and Truth:
  19. Guys...

I was trying to do notes for SciOly yesterday...

I fell down a rabbit hole.

I started with Blackbodies and got to Stephen Hawking and then fell down a time reversal rabbit hole and the four dimensional nature of objects. And light-cones. And entropy and a few other things.

Why do you sound so skeptical?

      Morningtide

I like science rabbit holes!! I also agree that science fits very nicely with my religion. But I can see how some people would very strongly disagree with that *shrug*

At some point I'll give my long winded science/religion rant on the Shard.

  20. The Clinic: Roof Bookwyrm felt a strange surge of energy and a thought of what to do. I...what? Follow my direction, Bookwyrm, the voice said. Trust me. He stepped forward and pressed his fingers to Insa's temples. Insa's Mind Bookwyrm felt the light swirling around, unguided. Look at the contours of her soul and memory, the voice directed. Then fill them with Light. Bookwyrm looked at the web of Insa's mind, shrouded and twisted by darkness. But it was still Insa. He filled vital emotions and memories with light, each of them sparking like a star in a black universe. A constellation. A constellation that drew on her identity for power, then fueled it with Light instead of Darkness. Bookwyrm pulled out of her head, leaving the stars of light in place in her mind. @InfiniteInsanity
  21. Tenet: Interstellar: Inception: Yes, I know I've mentioned these movies so many times. I'm never going to stop.
