I finally got my Grandad to start Way of Kings

I love getting extended family into this stuff.
My mom's side of the family all read The Way of Kings for a family book club. Most of them finished. So that was cool.

Oh yeah...I forgot about those guys.
I can see Kandra becoming more and more of a unique species that would have people like that as time goes on. Maybe different cultures of Kandra emerging in the space age, and some choosing to focus on animal traits.

So when I was six I got two fish. One was purple and the other was pink. I wanted to name them Pinky and Purplie but my parents said I couldn’t name both of them after their colors. So instead it was Pinkie and Walrus. Later we got a guppy that was kind of shimmery and it looked like the scales were multiple colors and they let me name that one Rainbow. So now I kind of really want to get a purple fish so I can name it properly.
And yeah that’s all I got… yup.

The first time I finished book 7 was the first time I stayed up till midnight reading. And my parents let me.

I like to stare at the moon and freak out about the fact that people have been there.

SpoilerI just do not have the physical capacity nor the skills to consider that myself, nor do I have the skills to make stuff so that other people can go.
SpoilerSo I want study stuff that we will hopefully visit someday but likely won't get close in my lifetime.

It took me too long to realize you were talking about Harry Potter.
That series is a good introduction to fantasy. I was a fan for a few years. Now I've kind of moved on.
Also I'm fairly certain there's a way to unsubscribe because I have an account on that website and I never get emails.

...How many of you would join an RP I made based on a worldbuilding idea I had a while ago, even if I'm 80% sure it would flop?

It's based on the very little bits of Japanese mythology I know, which is next to nothing. But that's the vibe I want to go for. It's also inspired by Princess Mononoke which is now easily in my top five favorite movies. If not top three.
Basically the world is filled with spirits, and some people known as Speakers can communicate with them through flute-playing (and maybe other things). There are some people who live in the spirits' lands and live in peace with them, but there are also a couple large kingdoms that have lost their touch with the natural world.
The magic system is that humans have no access to magic themselves, so Speakers use their music to ask the spirits to help them.
