The Bookwyrm

So, I've never made one of these before. Let's see how this goes.

The reason I've been somewhat less active for the last few days was because I went on an archeological dig with my dad, who is an archeologist. He currently works for the National Park Service. Whenever any national park or monument needs to build some new building or structure, archeologists need to come out and do some surveys in the area to make sure there are no artifacts or ancient building foundations that would be disturbed.

We were at a place called Fort Larned in Kansas, which was an old military fort in the 1800's. They are setting up a new septic tank, and needed the area surveyed. My dad was asked to go out, and I came along.

The nice thing is, my dad is currently listening to the Stormlight Archive. He's in part one of Rhythm of War. So, whenever we were driving anywhere, we would listen to it. He would often pause and we would talk about crazy Cosmere stuff together. I got to hear his theories about the Ghostbloods, Taravangian, Lift, Vasher/Zahel, and a bunch of other stuff. We also made way too many Brandon Sanderson references while we were digging, for example, talking about Hemalurgy when putting spikes in the ground to mark the area we were digging. 

So yeah. I made a few posts from the devices I brought while I was at the hotel, but was not super active. I got to do something cool and talk a lot about the Cosmere, and I thought it was noteworthy to share.
