    #1 Don't let them influence you. It sounds like you've got this covered, so I won't elaborate. #2 Don't be rude to them. There's a difference between being rude and asking them to respect boundaries. Make it clear that your problem is with the way they speak and not them. #3 Feel free to leave the conversation when they start swearing. Just pull out a book or pop in some earbuds and say, "I don't like they way this convo is going, so I'm going to just read. Feel free to get my attention if the topic/language used changes". #4 You can let them know you're a member without them asking. You can tell them outright or just do little things like using obvious symbols of the church to "accessorize" (ie. SLC Temple sticker on your laptop, BoM + FSY in your locker).

    I just taught my mom calculus tonight.

    I showed her the principles of derivatives and integrals, which is all you really need to know.

    Yeah, from my ward I am the YM rep for Stake Youth Council, Temple and Family History Committee, and the Missionary Coordinating Committee, even though I'm supposed to be on only one. My bishop won't take no for an answer though. And I'm the rep from my quorum for Ward Youth Council as well, and have to conduct every other WYC meeting with an agenda I have to create. None of the other YM want to sit in meetings though, so I can't pass the job on.

    I hate colleges.

    You'd think such important and large institutions would be able to do things like recognize AP exams across the board, instead of ignoring them for prerequisite stuff but counting for degree completion or not close admissions to a program at least 2 weeks before the priority deadline.

    Yeah, I'm really annoyed at two institutions in specific. The one I'm taking dual credit it that won't let me take Calc II or my Comp Sci class and the one I'm trying to apply to that closed their math program early and then said I need to apply through math to get into compsci when my guidance counselor and I called.

    They may be playing it off as a joke because they're still shy. Talk to them, maybe they'll be okay giving it a shot, even if they aren't actively crushing on you, and then you can impress them.

    I don't need hugs, I just want to rant a touch. Yesterday was marching band festival, and a few things happened. They cancelled the parade of bands, which was disappointing because I was ready to show out with my sousaphone(gotta dance when you have one of those). Then, when my band performed, my instrument broke three different times. First, I moved my mouthpiece aside when marching on field so I could do the horn flashes, which didn't even work because we had no cadence and everyone was out of step. Then I couldn't get it back into proper position. After that, somehow it got clogged, and I couldn't play for a whole song. I'm the only tubist in our band too, so that's bad. Then, in our last song, my valve started sticking, and it was during a move where I couldn't release it manually. So yeah, it sucked and I'm mad because it was my third to last high school performance.
