Okay, so... I'm a bit scared about Ms. Marvel. I've seen the trailers, and it looks (Dare I say it?) kind of stupid. Firstly, let me explain what I mean. I've seen a lot of movies/tv shows with snarky/spunky/sassy child actors, and for the most part I haven't been impressed. (Okay Iman Vellani is not a child actor, so that might not be fair. We'll say I've seen a lot of actors playing children.) While there's nothing wrong with children (I myself am a bit of a child) I still haven't loved that aspect of marvel recently. (With the exception of Tom Holland, and Zendaya, because it's hard not to like those two.) Marvel is trying so hard to set up the "Young Avengers," and I feel like they're undermining the good old heroes. I'll also say, I was scared about a lot of the marvel shows. Wandavision looked stupid, Loki looked weird, and Moon Knight, looked sketchy, and yet those three shows were all (For the most part) wonderful. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that marvel will surprise me. So, we'll have to see how it turns out. Do any of you guys have thoughts, theories, or ideas? Let me know what you think!

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

That may have been because the game automatically identified and bribed critics. It did not do the same for reviewers.- 111810 replies

How's your wife? I'd have to disagree with you. You might be thinking of Dan Wells though. -

It's yours! Unfortunately your new device has no settings controlling what parts of you teleport. You could show up to Disneyland only wearing a shirt, or you could show up without your arms. Either way the result is quite catastrophic. I want to own the star-wars franchise. -

Socioeconomic implications of certain technologies

I love thinking about how the economy would be effected by different things, and I think all of you have raised interesting questions and possibilities. So Kudos. -
Sounds good, I just figured since I was literally the only person submitting at the moment, and I have written the entire thing (it's easier to change stuff if you already have the first draft written) it might be fine. I'll keep to one though for the time being though if that's what you prefer.

What's something that reminds you of your middle-school experience. Thirteen of course. Unless you count the one I ate for breakfast. -
Hey, could I have 1-2 slots this week for submission?

Reading Excuses - 5/23/2022 - [Unnamned]
The Isochronism replied to The Isochronism's topic in Reading Excuses
Hey, thank you guys for all the feedback! Hopefully I can get some of these things worked out, but I'm happy to hear the story is doing some of the things I want it to, and I'm glad to know where it falls short. I'm a bit embarrassed to say that the inciting incident is... still on it's way. (Or maybe it's an inciting series of events, some of which have already taken place? My apologies for all the pacing issues, because there are a fair amount of them.) I'll avoid answering the questions you guys have, in the hopes that my writing can do that for you. Anyway hope the coming chapters do a bit better. Thanks again everyone! -
Powers: I would have the power to inspire people to do whatever I wanted. I'm not exactly hypnotizing them with my voice, I'm making them believe that what I'm telling them to do is the best for them—And everyone else. My voice would also work on inanimate objects... to a point. I could command a bullet to stop before it hit me, but I couldn't make it shoot at someone else. Secondary Power: I would be able to change my looks and become the most attractive version of myself in the opinion of whoever is looking at me. (If I'm in front of a crowd I can make my attractiveness targeted to the opinions of the majority. Weakness: My voice has a greater effect on myself then it does on others. I wear earplugs at all times, because if I can hear my voice, I can't use it, or it'll inspire me to do the same thing it's inspiring everyone else to do, and therefore would inspire nobody to do anything. (instead of working against me, it would just make my powers null and void, because epic powers don't effect epics.) Name: Inspiration Evil Manifestation: I have servants that I constantly make do what I want. My power wears off eventually, but I talk to them enough that they can't escape. These servants (slaves) think they want to help me, so they're not unhappy, but friends and family members are, because they can't even help their friends/family members escape, because they don't want to. Servants are chosen randomly from the public. Other epics are immune to my voice, so they leave me in peace for the most part. Costume: Well fitted suit and perfectly coiffed hair.

My question is: can a compounder access the allomantic power of the metal they're burning simultaneously to the compounded feruchemal power. (example: I'm compounding a steel metalmind, burning it in my stomach, I'm going to be able to move fast [like a steel-runner] will I also be able to steel push metals? Can I use these powers separately if not?)
