To recap: So, the audience likely isn't a world hopper, and is familiar with many Earth animals and foods. They either don't really worship anything in particular, they worship something Hoid thinks is weird, or Hoid is just being Hoid. They also know what cannons, moons, and ships are. Anything I'm missing/wrong about?

We know that they are all set in places we haven't seen yet in canon. The cover we have for SP#3 doesn't tell us a whole lot, except that it will likely be a romance of some sort. It could be a sequel to SP#1, but I don't know. I think that SP#4 is going to be set on Ashyn. Ashyn has floating cities, and is in a world we haven't yet seen in canon, similar to the Aether world. The cloud looking things have lights and the angles look too sharp to be clouds. I do not know what time period this will be set in, but I do not think this will be about Hoid, as Hoid isn't bald.

What is everyone's theory for the 4 books?
Mazman replied to AidenTollis's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I don't think so. He specifically said that no one, aside from maybe his wife, knew about any of the Secret Projects. We found out about Kingmaker at last year's Dragonsteel Mini-con, meaning it wasn't secret. I personally don't think that the covers quite match what we know of Kingmaker, although that is just my opinion. -
Secret Project #1: Everything we Know About the Magic

I'm not sure if there is air, although I remember Brandon saying that he was inspired by this phenomenon. So it could be air, or it could be some sort of gas. -
What is your favorite Sanderson series?
Mazman replied to Wayne's Unlucky Hat's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Mistborn. It introduced Hemalurgy, which is just a very versatile system that can be used to do a lot. It also introduced Feruchemy, which is a very versatile system, able to be used for just about anything, and can be used to make other people "Ferrings/Feruchemists" temporarily. And Allomancy, too. Those three magic systems together can do some pretty crazy things, and I love that. It also has a good story. -

There is a video by Mark Rober which should explain how it works. -
Why the Seventeenth Shard believes against interference
Mazman replied to Stormlit-man's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Your thinking makes sense. Having a bunch of unclaimed Investiture just lying around could make it possible for members of the Seventeenth Shard to become Shards, which would give their organization more power. Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that they have the ability to see the future, similar to Renarin, but if they are trying to prevent something bad from happening, and they need people to not interfere, then it would make sense that they could see the future, or the possibilities of the future. -
I figured I'd start a Topic discussing how one might survive on various planets in the Cosmere, as well as what we would want to do just because. I think I'll start with my bucket list: Find Stick Transfer Nergaoul to a Tiger-eye gem Speak to Sazed using Wax's spike (specifically Wax's) Bond a Cryptic Talk to Hoid (doesn't everyone want to do this?) Create a Hemalurgic meat man

Yes, she would be able to do all the things you say. This could be a potential way for her to carry around Lifelight (she uses Lifelight, not Stormlight), without it leaking out of gems, although she would need to become at least a Ferring, or carry a medallion.

I was thinking on my to class about Feruchemy, and when would be good times to store different things. When I got to thinking about storing energy, I realized that you may be able to store stuff you're not currently eating. This would mean that you could store fat, and dehydrate yourself at will. I'm not sure what benefits being dehydrated would give you, other than maybe making a more convincing disguise in some cases, but the first one is obviously useful. You could add some chub to disguise yourself as a rich person, and take off a lot for a poor person. Or, you could just lose weight. Either way, it would be really useful, if it is possible.

I think that Adonalsium does have a metal. However, a WoB says that Harmonium is not an Atium Lerasium alloy, but would still produce the same effect. So, you could theoretically create a metal that does the same thing as Adonalsiumium (what I'm calling it), but it wouldn't technically be that metal.
-
Oh. Yeah, I forgot about that. Never mind, my post is completely irrelevant. Although it might be able to be used to train Mistborn to do the pushing thing you mentioned, but other than that I cannot think of a use.

I was thinking about the limitations of coins as projectiles, when inspiration hit me. What if the coin was instead of one metal, but rather it was more like a pie of metals. Theoretically, this coin would allow a Mistborn, or someone with access to Pushing and Pulling, would be able to control where the coin is in relation to their body. You could also implant these coins in Awakened swords, and then you could have a Nightblood you don't touch. It works in my head, but I'm not sure if it would actually work.

You're right. The meat person could probably maintain themselves unless they needed a new body, in which case they would need some help. And as for it's purpose, well, it's purpose could be anything. You could put a bunch of different pieces of different people together and Awaken the meat to protect, and then it would be some sort of bodyguard. Or, you could Awaken the meat to destroy or kill, then that would be it's purpose. You could Awaken it to emulate a person, or something along those lines, and then use the spikes to extend someones life. It could simply be a servant. It all depends.
-
That is true. The meat body would have to be maintained, or the Command used to awaken the body could be something about preserving it. Maybe fabrial armor designed to conduct heat away to keep it from rotting?

What is your favourite magic system in the cosmere?
Mazman replied to Adonalsium'sSpren's topic in Cosmere Discussion
My favorite is Feruchemy. I just like magic systems that are sort of sustainable/renewable. It requires a sacrifice, but if used correctly, can be very effective, and can be temporarily endowed to other people through the use of the medallions. My second favorite is Surgebinding, specifically the Surge of Illumination. -
I was at lunch one day, thinking about Hemalurgy and Awakening, and what their effects are, and I had a realization. Hemalurgy can grant sentience where there is a conscious, and Awakening grants a pseudo-conscious to the object being Awakened. I also remembered that Hemalurgic spikes keep their Investiture longer when they're in meat. I then realized that you could (at least theoretically) make a person using Hemalurgy, steak, and Awakening. I explained the concept to the other person at my table, and we both agreed that it was possible. Later, we realized you could put different people's Identities together to give the meat person the personality you want it to have. This also means you could take all of someone's Identity, and put them in a body of meat, extending their lifespan. This process would wipe out many different forms of Investiture you may have had access to before, but because of the nature of the Nahel Bond, any bonds you had with spren would carry over to your new body. To avoid this, you could use spikes, that, from the above, would look similar to the Allomantic table or maybe a pie chart. These new spikes would bring over everything if all the bind points had these spikes struck through them at the same time, resulting in nearly complete transfer of the Spiritweb, due to the decaying nature of Hemalurgy. However, Awakening may cause some unwanted side effects. The Awakening may cause the patient/victim to have urges to do what the Awakener Awakened the patient/victim's new body to do. If they awakened them to grab things, the patient/victim may grab things, even when they don't want to. This of course can be much more harmful, such as simply Awakening the body by saying destroy. If any of you can think of a possible way to overcome this, please tell me. Also, the meat man has been confirmed, at 18:05 in the third spoiler stream, but the spike thing has not been confirmed so far as I know. Also, this is my first post. Did I put this in the right spot? What tags should I attach?
