  1. I very much like her, but am certainly fine with allowing another to play her, should they desire to be a Shard. (and very much happy to give consultation afterwards, wink wink)
  2. Indeed, indeed. She hasn’t done too much so far, but I’ll PM ya my overview notes. It ain’t much, really.
  3. With an apparent agreement achieved, Regin folds up the sewer map and begins a march towards the outlet pipe. “A consensus has been reached,” he says, to no one in particular. “It is time for our first excursion.”
  4. Reginn thought in silence for a moment, before nodding. “I concur. Such an entrance would likely be less obtrusive than others, to the enemy.”
  5. Maybe, maybe. I just Got Gripes and certain ideas about the procession of Online Free-Form Forum-Based Roleplaying Games.
  6. But, this would be a turn of events that is not cooperatively designed, right? This is a player playing a narrative game being denied larger input.
  7. The force it could exert, I meant. (And like, I dislike such a turn of events, narratively. Guys shows up to stop something, whoops he could do nothing anyway, he was always gonna be too late, and dies without input. Like… not a good precedent, perhaps?)
  8. I mean, whatever power the blackhole could output would be naturally below that of a Shard, would it not?
  9. I think it’d be bad form for Valor to die in such a way, so early. Sure, the supernova is damaging, but I don’t feel that warrants a “whoops, valor’s dead.” Especially since ThatOneWorldhopper hasn’t reacted yet.
  10. Reginn stares. “So, we do not enter the sewers blindly, alone, and without a map to guide us? That is precisely what I wished for.” He waves Teshan closer, and shows him the map of the sewers. “Do you have any thoughts about where we should begin?”
  11. Reginn thinks for a moment. “I could, but it’d represent a notable mana investment. Hilda’s help would make it easier.” He shakes his head. “The disturbance we would create would most likely provoke an attack, without the chance to recover afterwards. I do not believe it would be worth it compared to using an existing entrance.”
  12. “Something is,” Reginn agreed. “Something which may warrant planning and forethought. There more suitable entrances than this one, to better position us to investigate likely locations of interest.”
  13. Reginn shakes his head at the mayor’s ineptitude. “Bah! Such systemic failures are yours to handle, not the stranger’s.” He turns back to his party. “I’ll not have one of our number stumbling blind into darknesses unknown.” Reginn begins. “There are options to discuss, first. What routes to take, and whether we wish to chase an unlikely rumor.”
  14. Reginn grumbles inaudible complaints. He turns to Galalth and Hilda. “Can you stop him from wandering off without a plan? He has no idea where he’s going.” Reginn stares at the mayor for a long moment. “How much have you benefited from nepotism, would you say? You don’t know? Your town’s gone to hell and you’ve done nothing to investigate? Why is this the first I’m hearing of a thieves’ guild? Point me to them.”
  15. And relative Investment, too. Honour making a planet, Mercy is attuning to what is already there. A metaphorical relative 75% of infinity to, like 25% or something. Don’t quote me on those numbers.
  16. Indeed, but Shards are notable in their narrowmindedness.
