  7. So you're saying if you compounded copper while remembering or experiencing something, you would be incapable of forgetting that memory or moment? That's a really cool idea.
  8. Morningtide was beginning to regret her decision to run into the field. She had tried to turn around a while ago, but didn't seem to be getting any closer to the forest in the distance. And, despite what food she had managed to catch, she was starving and thirsty. Morningtide saw two figures appear over to her left. She continued walking, hoping that they weren't after her. She didn't want a fight, but she wouldn't run away again. Exp had surprised her - she was still embarrassed about her cowardice. As the two figures continued to get closer, Morningtide was able to identify them as Facepalm and Robin. Both were good, but she hoped she could beat them. Finally, Morningtide spun to face her (probably) attackers. "What do you want? I'm not afraid to fight you. " "We don't want trouble. Hand over the rope and sword and we'll leave." Robin was trying to be non threatening, but it was obviously a threat. "I have a better idea. How about you leave now, or I kill you." Morningtide was panicking, but managed to keep her voice calm. Fighting multiple opponents wouldn't go well for her. Robin and Facepalm glanced at each other, then attacked as one. Morningtide drew her sword and met their attacks before charging in. The attackers clearly weren't prepared for the speed in which she turned and struck. In an instant, Facepalm was down, stabbed through the chest. Now it was only Robin. Morningtide pressed the attack, adrenaline coursing through her. Their swords clanged together repeatedly in almost deafening clangs. She couldn't let them steal her supplies! She wouldn't have any way to defend herself without them. Almost before she realized it, Morningtide gained the upper hand. After that, it was only a few harsh blows until Robin lay beside Facepalm, the ground around them staining red. Morningtide hesitated before taking the gear that the two had been wearing. Robin didn't have much, just the sword. Morningtide preferred her sword, so she left Robin's on the ground. Facepalm had some food - thank heavens - a hammer, and a tarp. She took all of these and bundled them together. Morningtide was half a mile back toward the forest when the thought of what she had done struck her. Fighting was one thing, but killing? Morningtide's legs gave out and she collapsed, trembling, to the ground. Don't cry. DON'T CRY. Morningtide commanded herself. She stumbled back toward her feet and continued walking. This was her first time killing, but it almost certainly wouldn't be her last.
  9. Oh my gosh I love it! I can see the culture of the area already. The names are cool, but a little generic. Maybe that's on purpose? I like looking through names from younger or older grades in old yearbooks to find interesting ones.
  10. Welcome to the shard! Hope you like it here!
  11. Welcome to the shard!
  12. Woah! Awesome as always. This is one of my favorite notifs.
  13. Morningtide kept walking through the grass. She was SOOOOO bored. NO. Bored is good. Not bored means dying or dead. Morningtide heard something rustle in the grass, silently cursing herself for tempting fate by being bored. It was Exp! "Oh thank goodness! I was starting to get worried that you were..." Morningtide trailed off as she saw the look on Exp's face. "...Exp?" She whispered. Experience lunged toward her and Morningtide bolted. She was faster than him, but he could take her in a fight if he caught her. She ran until she collapsed of exhaustion, then cried herself to sleep.
  14. This is amazing! SO cool.
  15. Why are you standing on the counter with a party hat on your head? I WILL RULE YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLL
  16. I've shaken Elder Stevenson's hand. Slightly scary but amazing experience.
  17. True that there may be a reason. Also it's overpowered. I don't know if you can hear anything through it, but that would be a really good way to solve a lot of problems I SOOOOOOO agree. And I don't think that he will ever become more mature, so he should just never get to be with Sophie period. I might hate him a little bit. Very well written character who is a not good person. Keefe on the other hand....
  18. Fitz dies. This is literally my only theory. Also, can we agree that the Spyball is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay underused??????
  19. Morningtide bolted straight for the Cornucopia. She was fast, it was her greatest strength. Morningtide risked a glance back over her shoulder at Exp, just to make sure he wasn't dead. Idiot! Why do you care. You might have to kill him! Morningtide grabbed a thin sword, great for stabbing, and a long coil of rope. The rope was a reflex, she hoped it would come in handy. Morningtide started to run for the marsh, but faltered. Was she wasting an opportunity to get rid of some competition? She had the sword and the advantage of speed on her side.... Morningtide shook off the impulsivity and continued into the marsh to hide.
  20. Hooray! I like this club
  21. It's really good. The descriptive elements are amazing and really paint a picture.
  22. "Well the child was a side character who was killed off to cause extreme emotional trauma to a main character who blames himself, so does that count?"
