Cleaning out my bookshelf right now. Does anyone else know that experience where it feels like you have so many books and you can't get rid of any, but then you sort them and barely end up having any books you genuinely love? (Except for the Sanderson ones -  those take up two shelves.) 

I just want to live in a cozy little attic room with a sunny balcony like Dorian's in Hooky, with endless books that I haven't read but know I will love. Oh well. Back to sorting...

How do people choose a username? I'd like to be more active on the Shard, and I'd also like to distance myself from who I was before. So, I've been trying to think of a new username. (I'm still an Ookla, as you can see.) The thing is, decisions like this are a bit terrifying for me. I've been thinking about this for weeks. I really want to get it right. 

So, to anyone out there who stumbles across this: how did you choose your username? Any tips?

I'm currently just sitting in the Saint Louis airport. For a few hours. (My family got here really early.) If anybody has some mindless games to play with myself, it would be much appreciated. 

The only thing that makes this more tolerable is that I have doughnut holes. They're very good.

Hi. So. I probably won't be as online as much anymore, because my school just changed their content filter and the shard is blocked.  I'll still be online, but the device I was using before was a school iPad, so I have to switch devices. My new device is slower and loses battery at weird rates, so unless the school accepts my request and unblocks the site, I'll be online less often.

My dear father is reading Mistborn: Secret History now. I’m slowly going insane.

So. That’s what I’ve been listening to for weeks. I love him so much, and I’m really happy he’s rereading the books. However, I’m not entirely sure I can take much more of this. If I start acting strange, know that I’ve embraced the madness and am now discussing Pathians and talking butts forever.

(By the way, @Ookla the Floofy, I swear I didn’t steal your username. This may get very confusing very quickly, though. Especially since I like to read and post on your Creator’s Corner threads…)

My dad is rereading Era 2 of Mistborn, and his favorite thing to do whenever he’s rereading any of Brandons books is to smash every magic system together and then claim that Skyward and Reckoners is Cosmere, just to annoy me.

Happy birthday!!

I had such a good dream last night.

Stormlight 5 was out, and I was reading it and acting it out with the characters. Except the only character in the entire book was Shallan, and we were going on a hike in this mesa-desert thing. (I tried to feed a wild dog an acorn. It bit me.) It was a pretty good dream, and when I woke up I actually thought for a second that Stormlight 5 was out, and I was so happy.

Then the world cruelly reminded me that it’s not coming out for years.

Okay, so I made the mistake of reading an article about the Cosmere, and this description for tWoK made me wonder if the person writing this has read the books. Like, ever.

Ooooookaaaaaay that was weird. I posted a new topic, (...and if you want, you can go check it out right now!!) but it glitched, so now there is 2 topics that are exactly the same. Is there any way to fix that??? I would love some help.
