I wouldn't say nothing else fits but I do think that fits the best
-
Which would be far more than the gold compounder needs to heal if they are in a fight to the death. If they are fighting to the death the seer would have to burn it constantly cause the gold compounder isn't gonna want a dragged out fight in which they run out of health. This is exactly what would happen, since both are confined to hand to hand combat they would be so close that it would be impossible for the seer to not get hit or grabbed at all, especially against an opponent who knows he can't be beat so long as he has health
-
I'm fairly certain their is a WoB that all god metals are allomantically viable, if I am mistaken however then I could see your point. The first WoB I posted is the latest one, so it would override the original WoB tho.
-
But the gold compounder wouldn't have to be drawing on their health stores the whole time, only when they get injured
-
Just cause you can see the future doesn't mean you won't get injured. In the first few chapters of steelheart they kill a precognitive epic by making it impossible for him to have a way out. And the closer they are the less the seer can see movement form atium shadows and the harder it is to not get hit at all. Well how would you pull off something like a metal bracer from someones arm and not get hit or grabbed? I don't think the seer could get every metalmind off without getting hit, worn down, or grabbed. I just meant they would put metalminds in themselves to prevent that, not for this specific example. Thanks so much! Signature lign here I come!
-
How would they know where the metal minds are? and if they get that close the god dcompounder will be hitting and hurting them, seers don't get increases speed or agility. Also, odds are the gold compounder will have at least some gold minds that are imbedded in them like a spike so it can't be pushed and then it would be impossible for the seer to get it without the gold compounder being able to start to grapple them and remove the seer's advantage because they're in so close Also, as a total side note, how do you get the signature thing under all your posts? I'm also ravenclaw and a windrunner or stoneward and member of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints.

I think it comes down to this, the seer cannot kill the gold compounder. The gold compounder can kill the seer. Gold coumpounder wins. Now if they both get assets like aluminum it could be a different story, but definitely bare hands is gold compounder for the win, not even taking into account the fact that the seer would run out of metal so quick. Pretty sure it does imply that, Miles says he doesn't get worn down and tired very much, and it would instantly heal torn muscles and stuff from working out and exercise so it wouldn't give infinite stamina but it would increase it for sure.

There are two WoB on this Questioner If a Mistborn were to burn a piece of a Shardblade, what would happen? Brandon Sanderson This would be hard to make happen, but it would be possible. A Shardblade is going to act as, basically, an alloy of the god metal of Honor and so what would it do? RAFO, but it is possible and it would do something. It would not be inert. It would be Allomanticaly viable. This one tell us that the god metals are allomantically viable word_thief What would happen if a Mistborn ingested the metal of a Shardblade/Plate? Brandon Sanderson A Shardblade is Invested. A Mistborn isn't likely to have a tie to that type of Investiture. So probably nothing would happen… This one tells us a shardblade is also invested, and that the mistborn can not get that investiture. This is exactly what happens when vin burns Sazed's earing. She gets the allomantic result of burning pewter but nothing extra from his power cause she isn't connected to it and it is keyed to Sazed's identity. So a mistborn would get a allomantic result from burning a shardblade, but they are also extra invested and the mistborn wouldn't get anything from that extra investiture.
-
I see what you mean about the connection, but I think a mistborn's spiritweb allows them to use any investiture that is in the form of a metal. So they don't need connection to the shard because it is investiture in metal form and the mistbron's abilities allows them to use metallic intestiture.
-
I bet there would be a way using hemalurgy to steal a mistborn's ability to burn god metals along with their other powers, but in general I definitely agree. A standard inquisitor or other hemalurgist couldn't match a mistborn in raw strength either due to hemalurgic decay. Its generally just best to be born with the powers or to get some lerasium. Doesn't the metal act as a realmatic key tho? So its opening the door to letting you use the investiture even if you don't have direct connection to that shard.

I agree with this, all wax's shots have been phenomonal, but not what i would have conidered supernatural, until shooting that bullet out of the air. That definitely would require either assistance from Harmony, or some sort of resonance. I'm inclined to believe that Harmony didn't help with the shot cause he had already helped by giving wax his guns. I think wax's skill is a combination of his ability to see with steelsight where his bullets land like HSuperLee said, experience, and his resonance. The understanding of force vectors mentioned by StanLemon as his resonance makes sense to me, because he naturally understands how changing his weight affects his steel pushes, and he is also an exceptional coinshot when it comes to their "hopping" around.

Well part of the question is also if a shardblade can be summoned inside of someone. I'm fairly certain there is a WoB about how a shardblade can be summoned in air or water because it pushes them out of the way when forming, but it can't be summoned in a solid, only cut them once its been summoned. So one of the limitations could be that you can't summon it inside a person. Chiberty What happens if you try to summon a Shardblade, but there is a wall where it would appear? What about liquids in the way, or person, and what if Shardplate is in the way? Brandon Sanderson Generally, the Blade isn't going to appear inside of something solid--and will appear (shoving aside) in liquid. It can be hit or miss on people, but generally doesn't work--and Shardplate would stop it from materializing. General Reddit 2020 (Aug. 4, 2020) Also, does it need to be touching the summoner? cause we have seen a few scenes in which the shardblades drop into their wielders hands, so is it possible to summon say a guilitine blade over the head of an oponent?

I'm pretty sure his loss of perfect pitch is just a byproduct of Odium removing the breaths he used to store memories. I also thought Odium just wanted to hide from Hoid the fact that he was no longer Rayse because it is to his advantage if they still don't know he is Taravangian

The Weapon that destroyed Adonalsium... maybe?
Parzival replied to Parzival's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This is true, just like you ARE a shard and we know you can be multiple at once, so I'd say it isn't implauible to be able to be mutliple Dawnshards -
This is the perfect example of how I imagine the Pure Tone of Adonalsium sounding, thank you.

The Weapon that destroyed Adonalsium... maybe?
Parzival replied to Parzival's topic in Cosmere Discussion
You're right he no longer has a dawnshard, jsut suffers residual effects of having held one (or maybe 4) for so long, however I doubt that he would give up a dawnshard till after things had setteld down post-shattering. Lots of danger when the Shards were still young I bet. I haven't read this WoB, do you have a link for it or know when it was so I could read it? -
Well Odium isn't native to Roshar, whereas Honor and Cultivation have been there far longer and have invested themselves in the planet. So I don't think Odium has a truest surge
-
Is there anything in the contract saying Odium can't be his own champion? Cause that would be a pretty easy fight
-
Alright, so as of Dawnshard we have confirmation that the Dawnshards were used in the Shattering of Adonalsium. My question is, were there four diferent people that each wielded a dawnshard against Adonalsium, or is it possible that one person took up all four Dawnshards at once to perform the Shattering? Now, my obvious first most guess for who would have wielded all four is Hoid, and this could maybe explain his lingering effects of holding a dawnshard, because when he held all four it stretched his spirit web greatly and left it altered. I bet he probably only used all four to shatter Adonalsium and then just kept one, the one that has alter him to make him incapable of eating meat or harming others. What are y'alls thoughts on this?

Thanks for that clarification, I hadn't remebered fuzz saying that. I agree, even with the oath that he could destroy it, it would still be ruin's choice when and how to destroy it and even if he actually would
-
I don't think the shards can be convinced, because they aren't sentient. Yes the intent of the shards can impact the vessel and change their views and limit their actions, but hte shards themselves aren't sentient enough to need to be convinced of anything. The way I see it is that Harmony is different from ruin or preservation and is therefore not bound by any previous oaths, and even if he isn't he now controls both shards and can just make a new deal between them or since he controls both parties he can end the promise form both sides. Also, we aren't certain it was an actual oath, probably more of a ruin knew preervation would be weakened so they agreed he would eventually destroy the world and there was nothing preservation could do to stop him.

Huio accidentally left aluminum in the fabrial cage didn't he? Metal is definitely important, especially cause it is somehow connected or related to souls. Well in RoW they had fabrial cages made out of aluminum, or at least partially aluminum, and I don't think they drill threads through the gems for fabrials, I thought they made metal cages around them When a lightweaver or elsecaller soulcasts they are using a power granted through the nahel bond so they just need the investiture from stormlight to fuel their soulcasting, but people who use the soulcaster devices are using the power through the spren forming the soulcaster and to this spren different color gems have a different "flavor" as the sibling says to Navani, and these flavor match certain essenses so they need those color gems for specific soulcastings. I think it is improbably for color to have much of an affect on scadrian magic cause the metal's alloy or composition is the key to its use, whereas on these other worlds the color is the key at times. Navani doesn't mention it so I'm not certain, but it seems any type of steel works for the fabrial cage so it isn't as restrictive as the exact alloy needed on scadrial for allomancy. There are definitely some parallels between magic systems, but that doesn't necessarily mean there is a parallel to everything in every magic system. These are definitely good questions tho
