  1. A few years ago (when I was still in public school) I was given a fountain pen and some ink (in capsules). I didn't know anything about taking care of them and ended up bending the nib (and making the gap too big to write with anymore) by pushing too hard, and then my family moved, so I haven't had a fountain pen for the past couple years. Also though I bought a new one recently and it got here today. Both this one and my first one are/were Jinhao pens with medium nibs. I do have a question though. One of the things I remember being a problem with my first pen was that sometimes it would leak while it was capped. I don't remember if that happened only after I abused it or if it was before too. If my current pen starts leaking too, how do I make it stop leaking?
  2. I said, in thread, that I was willing to go to the Tower/Tunnel with Polly. I then forgot to submit the order in my GMPM - I typed it out, I just forgot to send it. Polly didn't take me anywhere I didn't want to go.
  3. I think that there are some plot points that just aren't going to be followed (like me being immune to being doppeled). If most or all of the plot points were followed, especially in terms of where who went, that would 1) cut out everyone's agency, 2) make it too easy for one side or the other to win, and 3) I think it'd be stupid to stick too closely to the plot of the 12th expedition, and I don't think TUA is stupid, so I don't think TUA is doing that. I think it was just chance (and perhaps a touch of player knowledge) that led to the Psychiatrist and the Biologist going to the Tower together on the first day and the Biologist finding something. I read the Wikipedia summary. Part of the plot includes me going back to the Tower. Based on my current assumption (which is that there's only one thing to find at each place), there's no reason for me to go back to the Tower.
  4. Um. Late night gut feeling but! still! Random worry, what if (one of) the doppelgangers' way(s) to contaminate others is to get them to explore a certain place (i.e. the village)? That said, Wizard. I'm sorry if this is badly aimed paranoia, but I'm really not sorry if my paranoia isn't badly aimed.
  5. Do doppelgangers have the ability to turn others into doppelgangers? Edit: I am biased towards thinking that there is (or will be?) some way for doppelgangers to "contaminate" (for lack of a better word) others into being doppelgangers. That might show up as an ability, which would make it possible for Slayer to check peoples' alignment. But only if all my assumptions are correct.
  6. In non-italicized text, I was told both that I don't have the Return Anew wincon and that others will. I don't know if that's a current-type "will," like "they will by the time you get back to camp today," or a future-type "will," like "nobody has this wincon yet but just you wait."
  7. Remember, the italics are flavor text. Though I suppose you could say the spores that got on (and, likely, in) me are a sample (of sorts), the only official sample I collected was - I think - the knowledge of the Return Anew wincon. Edit: And no, I don't know anything about the spores other than that they came from creepy, semi-sensical-sentence-shaped fungus.
  8. Does that mean it's different to do a long-distance relationship than it is to maintain a used-to-be-in-person relationship over a period of time in which one is physically separated from their partner by a long distance?
  9. You know how everyone says to not do long-distance relationships?
  10. No vote. Having given up on getting any information from Polly, Jaz supposed she'd just have to do her best to analyze the others based on her own observations. That decided, she moved on to other important things. Like dinner. Since nobody else had made a move towards the cooking supplies, she started preparing food. She didn't add many seasonings that might be unfamiliar to the others... but they were there. After all, everyone likes a good surprise, right?

  12. As team leader, Jaz considered it her role to lead by example and meet with the team psychologist first. Of course, she also considered it her role to know the results of everyone's psychological evaluations. "Look, I get that you don't want to tell us, but can't you just tell me?" she wheedled. "I promise I won't tell any of the others. Besides, it's practically part of my job to know these things!" @Ashbringer Thank you for pointing out the thing about the wincon. I would very much like it if we didn't kill a person tonight.

  15. *revokes @CoderDrag0n8's people-shrinking rights* *unshrinks Terrisman* Don't shrink the tall people! The atmospheric difference would kill them, and at that point you'd be killing a fellow short people! Death by oxygen overdose is harsh.
