    How did you see this exactly? The only thing that was taken from him was Evi and his memories of her that’s all. What exactly do you mean when you say “Good qualities” he’s still totally ignores Navanis right to lead her own ship. And he still hurts his nephew. And he still felt the urge to drink If the change was so drastic as you say it was. Then why didn’t everyone know he had seen the Nightwatcher it must have been a natural change that took time over the years.

    I’m not saying he’s not being influenced by Cultivation I’m just saying that specific scene does not show anything. It’s not his experience as a whole but when Taravangian Acended he was feeling an intense hatred at Szeth for killing him

    I think that was the influence of the Power right? Like how all Vessels are eventually corrupted by it but he’s still able to fight it

    It seems like what your saying is that since X happened there was no possible way Y could have happened because it didn’t This is not the way it works. Dalinar made decisions and he made the right ones. The way that happens is irrelevant because he could have decided not to change Cultivation pruned him but Dalinar grew into the man he always wanted to be or something like that. A man like his brother who he idolized I’d guess

    That is subject to debate I think might - still is implied, because if she didnt intervene he 100% would of Yes he would have but since she intervened he was able to grow She pruned him and he grew albeit in the direction she wanted but that doesn’t take away the fact he grew

He also says “ I have figured out how to join the realm of gods I will never die my kingdom will never die” ( Paraphrased RoW) Yeah I’m pretty sure book 5 feast will be Gavilars POV

    While I don’t agree with Tani she does have a point. To the average reader (that doesn’t spend time theory crafting) Gavilar is dead 4 times over. And if you haven’t read SH you don’t know what a CS is I agree 100% he’s probably still alive but it takes time for those changes to happen in book if it happens to fast all these millions of people that only read these books once or twice will be pretty angry at Brandon @AquaRegia

    Where does it say Cultivation changed very much? ...Yes But she also says “One day you might become his,” (Paraphrased OB) which would imply that she didn’t know what would happen

    I think the main theme is very similar to what Nallc said Growth and Redemption we see characters that have gone through and participated in horrible things and they become better men/women because of it We see despots turned into great rulers and great rulers into villains

    I completely forgot that Dabbid existed after the first time we see him in WoK he just wasn’t a good character that did anything And Brandon healing his battleshock felt completely out of left field with no foreshadowing And he still hasn’t actually done anything that feels important ( Although on a purely in-world level he did help save urithuru it didn’t feel like it)

    Hoid seems to realize there is a loophole in the epilogue and is terrified the problem is from a narritve perspective. For all we know Gavilar is dead and has been for 6 years. If Brandon brought him back in only one book it would be like (Star wars spoilers) Sidius coming back with no foreshadowing. It just woudn’t work I do believe that Gavilar will be a player, but mostly in the back half

    If you say that Roshar doesn’t have enough gemstones I can just as easily say there are no mistborns on Scadrial (or very very little) because both are equally true

    He was a Scholar who Raboniel said is interested in lights Hes second in command to Odium now of course Lezian is afraid Well of course I’m probably wrong But I think it’s a slight possibility and would make much more narrative sense Brandon may have been confused when he said that it was in an interview so... I don’t know most likely it’s He Who Quiets but maybe... just maybe it’s Voice of lights
