  1. Did you do anything...
  2. Yes. There was no reason to invent A-light then. And she even handed over the notebook. She should have ripped it up in Raboniel face at the very least and destroy her work. If this kills her so be it.
  3. Preservation saw thousands of years with the Terris prophecy. Also @Honorspring why would you put endowment in the change Dawnshard
  4. Her mistake: giving the enemy the equivalent of a A-Bomb if used correctly (if a large amounts come in contact) Im gonna say don’t give this person more power she’s fine doing what she’s doing
  5. I think everyone’s problem with the double standard of Navani not being worthy because of Anti-light and Kaladin and Dalinar being worthy despite their downsides are missing the point. Kaladin had proven himself worthy of the powers before he had been givin them, and then still was completely trustworthy until WoR. If that scene has happened before he had bonded Syl then he would not be worthy. The fact that he already proved himself gives him leeway here. Same with Dalinar, he was proven worthy then had a struggle he bounced back from. Navani has not done this. She made a huge mistake in giving the Fused Anti-Light and they obviously have the schematics as we know that the Fused are very efficient and effective in that area. I don’t think it’s possible that Raboniel has the Notebook and didn’t share it with another Fused “just in case”
  6. He gave Dalinar the visions so he must have thought h worthy. He could only give them to one person in Roshar and he chose Dalinar. Whenever anyone says no because of environment they are usually ignored. And they will be expesially here since Navani has very little political power. And spren are sustainable, if inhumane It was given a choice bond or die it chose bond There was no reason for the Fused to know about Anti-Light. Navani had no way to know that Urithiru would be back under the allies control but she still created it with reckless abandon. She could have waited until the Fused left but she didn’t. And she handed Anti-Light into Raboniel hands. There was no reason the Fused had to know the exact process In how to do it. She could have at least his the method or burned the Notebook. This shows that she should no be trusted with Bondsmith powers. she has no proven her self worthy and she proved herself incapable to handle power
  7. Some people are not trustworthy. Maybe if she passes the bond and works on herself for the year she can come back. He was not worthy then. He was only worthy because of Cultivation’s intervention. After Cultivation without the most powerful set in Roshar he proves himself worthy Oh come on,blaming Navani for this too? Yep
  8. Okay... I just think there’s a place Jasnah gets her emotionless from
  9. Shallan is insane so she’s not exactly the best role model. She literally handed Raboniel the most dangerous substance ever. that’s proof enough she’s not responsible So let me pose an example to you. You have a child who is a controversial political figure. You love this child with all your heart as all parents do. Then your child sends you a letter that she will be visiting for the first time in years and is bringing a wife for your beloved nephew. And then right before she arrives she is murdered How would it make you feel?
  10. So it doesn’t seem weird to you at all? that she can just turn off her emotions and “deal with something else” I get that if your pet or friend died, but your child? I don’t see how anything could help you feel better and at the very least you should cry. I’m gonna straight disagree with you here. no one expects their child who is a scholar to be violently murdered in an assassination. I was saying that is not a reason to not be worthy. He was worthy before and still was after a rough bump. Thanks for that @Aspiring Writer
  11. She’s... pretty emotionless. She hears her son is dead and basically the same but grieves for 20 or so minutes. She insults her husbands memory even though she once loved him, by marrying his brother. Being only depressed for her daughter’s violent murder seems a little...tame Private grieving when we get into the characters mind in a POV doesn’t work as an excuse.
  12. Double posting is when you post twice in a row without anyone posting in between The mods don’t like it because it takes up to much space. You are making your posts really confusing with your punctuation and spacing so if I misunderstood your points then I would suggest working on it. She takes the genius of others and harnesses them. She’s a scientist but not a genius also anything not sourced on the Wiki can be false since it is not updated frequently and anyone can edit. That isn’t her moving on from a traumatic experience because we never saw any reaction. She is completely emotionless during all of the events. Maybe this is normal but it seems weird to me and I believe it will be a plot point later on
  13. 2 things can be true at once 1: Gavilar created Anti-light 2: Navani made it available to everyone She is to blame not Gavilar who kept it a secret. I don’t know you said that a 1000 year old scientist would have their feelings hurt by something, I couldn’t decipher the exact meaning of your post Edit: Please stop Double posting @Infinitysliver Dalinar proved himself as a honorable man which is what the Stormfather wanted. Just because he faltered for one week does not make him unworthy in fact it made him more worthy because he showed he could move on. Navani has not proved herself and is a completely reckless semi-scientist
  14. No. She willingly makes the most dangerous substance in the Cosmere knowing that it would help the enemy. She didn’t wait to be freed, she handed into Raboniels hand. All she did was try halfheartedly to hide it on her desk in plain view. This resulted in the death of 2 slivers of a Shard and will make hundreds more possible even as the war is coming to the end and Dalinar has found an agreement. She knew exactly what it looked like and that it was a very possible thing to create. I dont care about how Navani would have her feelings hurt by the truth Edit: Please stop double posting just edit your last post
  15. She had Gavilars sphere in her memory and knew what she was looking for and that it was possible and plausible. She did not grow to any challenge and this is my personal opinion so it’s fine if you disagree It’s a pretty big deal if a person enslaves something you perceive as alive in a small box forever. Being unworthy has nothing to do with the Sibling perception because if it did then there would be no conversation. Its our perception is what matters and those who have argued against Navani have brought a whole lot of evidence, if you don’t agree with that it’s fine.
  16. I do imagine the Sibling as male. It’s mostly because of most Radiant spren being the opposite gender of the Radiant but I honestly coudnt care it’s gender.
  17. She knew it was possible and had seen blue print of it. She also got the whole idea from reading destructive interference which was the hardest part of the whole process I am going to say that my problem with Navani is not that she isn’t a scholar but that she hasn’t changed one iota in 3 years. In WoK she is still organizing and creating fabrials. She doesn’t come to a compromise with the Sibling she sweet talks them in a moment of their desperation. So it doesn’t matter if their worthy according to you. Because of the possible event of them changing? I believe that this is a discussion if she is worthy now not later
  18. Are we allowed to just say that. “ You prove it not me” huh I’m gonna go and edit my other post
  19. She didn’t do anything meaningful and hard that took sacrifice. She played scientists for a week and came back and sweet talked the Sibling into giving her the bond against their will. Fine I’ll prove it to you, read RoW. you back? Point proven And as Frustration said “What’s your proof that she is worthy”
  20. Even more so with the powers. She is no more worthy than the Ardents that work for her. You got to prove you have what it takes. I don’t believe she did if you disagree that’s your opinion.
  21. I’m pretty sure the Envisagers were a break off of the sons of honor.
  22. Hi Zac if you haven’t read Oathbringer I would warn of spoilers and as you undoubtedly know they are everywhere on this site. So just keep an eye out and I’ll see you ‘round the forums Welcome to the Shard!!!
  23. She sang a song, that’s it. There was no real work. It was something that was never tried and when she tried it it worked. How is that an ‘elephant’ Okay she’s a decent scholar. So what, it doesn’t make her worth the title of Bondsmith
