  1. True. Except, it's not. It's like me saying I'm going to post 10,000 words of roleplay a turn. I can try, I might even get close, there's even a chance I complete that goal once or twice. But eventually I'm going to miss that mark. I have no problem with Kas playing a quiet, roleplayful game, but no matter how much v!Kas commits to chilling, he's going to analyze if he posts enough. I view this less as a playstyle, and more as a village tell. You can change your playstyle, but tells are very difficult to modify. At this point, whatever Kas does from here on out, I think he's v, because I've seen his tell.
  2. See, the thing for me is, to us, the 17th Shard, they are all the same. Sure, there can be some friendly fire, but we want them dead all the same. For them, they should probably just treat themselves as converting elims and everyone else as the village. Also, your initial point about me lumping them in together, there was no point in separating them for that particular list. For general play, yes, we should at least remember that they are distinct entities, but for the purpose of that list, which was asking what Shards do they want, they want the same thing and as such can be treated as the same.
  3. Yeah, it's from his most recent YouTube weekly update, where revealed the Stormlight adaptation had secretly started and is already almost halfway through filming. He then revealed he was playing Szeth. Jk. But he is actually Bald.
  4. They are both coinshots, but Ruin is the Destroyer of Worlds. Ignoring sudden death, they all win the same way (Autonomous is kinda weird, but still the same). Their strategies are all going to be vaguely similar, kill everyone else. Hoid and Khriss are basically the same sudden death wise, they both want all the shards. Autonomy's sudden death is prerty hard, so they just want to make a bunch of Avatars. Where's the big difference, especially between Hoid and Khriss? This \/ post shows exactly why I said that. No matter how chill Kas tries to be, this stuff will still leak out. And this alone is enough to make me pretty confident in Kas' alignment. As I explicitly said, that wasn't a threat. Kas is gonna do what Kas is gonna do, but I genuinely think Kas is incapable of truly chilling as a villager, and the above post has proved me right. Yeah, just read Kas' posts until like the last three cycles, then read the entirety of those and stuff will start to make sense.
  5. It should be noted that underthe aforementioned US law, you do not have the right to privacy within a public area. This is less equivalent to opening letter and equivalent to you putting a folded piece of paper on the bulletin board. I did not claim Ruin. In fact I pretty explicitly claimed not Ruin. It's up to you to decide whether or not I'm lying, you won't be able to accurately guess until you see whether not I leave Silverlight. But as I said before, I really want a vigi role, so get away from my Odium >:(. I'm in Southern Canada (the Montana province, you might have heard of it), and it is surprising not to bad right now. We got it only for a few days a while ago and the wind hasn't blown our way since. I believe in you Kas, you won't post a reads list. But (this isn't a threat) if you legitimately don't put out analysis sometime in the next couple of turns, I'm going to start thinking Ash was cruel enough to make you an elim. I'm pretty sure we can't break put shards on Day turns. Day turns are worldhopping time.
  6. Interesting. Think I'll stick around. I really want a vig kill, I don't think I've ever had one before. But I will come to observe the party doc chaos soon.
  7. I know I don't do these, like, ever, but I can't contain my excitement.

He's back! He didn't die and I love it so much I just want to know how he lived. Oh wow. Goodness I'm happy and I'm not even sure why it's so extreme, but HE'S BACK! And he's kneading storming dough. Wow. Okay, I'm going to cut myself off. I love Brian McClellan, and no, you get no other context.

    1. The Aspiring Archivist

      The Aspiring Archivist

Can I please have some context? Because I'm confused on many levels

    2. The Unknown Medallion

And he switches PoV right after, storming amazing jerk.

And I'll give you context if you read the Powder Mage trilogy. And even that is almost a spoiler so that's all you're getting.

    3. The Aspiring Archivist

      The Aspiring Archivist

I have not read that. So nevermind.

  8. "General Evil." If they're not 17th shard, they're evil. They can do the work of decided the intricacies of what their faction needs, but We the Village can treat them basically as the same for the purposes of what Shards they want. Really for other purposes too. I'm not going to do three times the work to save them time and give us almost zero advantage.
  9. I think you can just kinda ignore Returned elims. They can't use the important half of the actions and they're going to die pretty soon. Edit: Yeah, @Ashbringer tis me.
  10. Helpful for the village. And it's at the bottom because an exe protect is directly counterproductive for the village. It is underlined because that's a free turn for that elim to keep running about, maybe more if the elims get lucky. They are separate lists because they serve separate purposes. Two? One revive for every elim I think. But you don't get to take night actions, and everyone knows that you're evil (it isn't flipless, right? I'm not forgetting that). But yeah, bottom isn't correct, don't know why I put it below Devotion, which legitimately kinda sucks for them. I have now put that in between Honor and Valor. Edit: I'm dumb, sorry. Two because Shardic. @Ashbringer, this is my new name now. Not sorry.
  11. Just going to drop this here. I spent a bit thinking, and this is the definitive 100% accurate list and your opinion is wrong. Village ranking; Honor Cultivation Valor Dominion Prudence Survival Whimsy Endowment Preservation Invention Ambition Devotion Odium Ruin Mercy General evil ranking: Ruin Odium Survival Mercy Invention Ambition Honor Valor Prudence Preservation Whimsy Dominion Devotion Cultivation Endowment Containment ranking (Bold probably has to come out, italised really doesn't need to, bold underlined means we die if we don't grab them): Ruin Odium Cultivation Honor Mercy Survival Endowment Prudence Valor Dominion Invention Ambition Whimsy Preservation Devotion
  12. I second this! I have not been an elim in quite a while, so once you get done converting Alpha, come on over TKN Town and give me some love.
  13. This is why I don't want Odium or Ruin, one of their secret wincons is going to be serial killer.
  14. I was going to sus doubling up on Mat so early. Then I remembered. I have a strong urge to follow you guys wherever you go, but otherwise I'm leaning Roshar, Nalthis, or maybe Sel. I don't really want the stuff going on in Nalthis to go unchecked (doubled vote is pretty nice), and Roshar is going to be packed. And Sel is nice. Cryptic DJs play synth music (that's a genre, right? I only know four genres, Rap, for degenerates, Pop, for feminine degenerates, Classical, for weider fancy people, and Country, for real people. And there's rock, but we don't talk about that) I'll get back to this, might just rank the shards like five different ways. For the Dragon! Correction: Who needs to pay attention to the rules? >B( This is the only logical place to reveal this information, I agree. It depends. Is 'there are no rules,' a rule? @Ashbringer, if it helps, my character is a Mistborn that is half pretending to be crazy, half actually crazy due to some shannonigansTM. I'm going to go crazy with this mechanics, so bye while I sift through them.
  15. Completely new series in a completely new world. I'm working on a formatted one for you.
  16. @Treamayne, since you added that post, I'll note that his most recent novel, In the Shadow of Lightning, was also excellent. Brandon said, and most people I've seen agree, that that was his most Brandon book so far.
  17. Yes, definitely. I read book 2 (for the first time, despite having read the Promise of Blood many times) recently, and just felt like very element of the first book was improved upon. If you liked book 1, I think you'll really like book 2.
  18. Reading the Autumn Republic by Brian McClellan, and, wow, I just love his books. Might like him more than Brandon. I know, I know, blasphemous, but for some reason I just really like every one of his that I pick up. Also reading Unseen Academicals by Sir Terry Pratchett. Listening to tWoK. Just not a big fan of Michael Kraemer. Kate Reading is alright as far as femal narrators go, but Michael Kraemer doesn't have anything for me to latch on to.
