LG108: A Tale of Rats and Spores
The Unknown Medallion replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Target me? I'd hope nobody would be dumb enough to take on a Master Spore Sprouter like myself. I happen to have a secret stash of the mysterious Flesh spores and you really don't want to know what those do. Yeah, advancement should be fairly difficult. Depending on a few things, I might be willing to give away some Master Pots in return for certain favors... -

50% chance it was Kas complaining My probably favorite game was when Ash ran his Shard game, so that's pretty cool. -

I vote we run it with three players and see what happens Edit: I wouldn't be able to use Postman shenanigans very effectively though -

Oh, yeah, a different one than that one. I believe we talked briefly when I started this one also. -
What Are You Reading, Part 2
The Unknown Medallion replied to Chaos's topic in Entertainment Discussion
This is the same one, see being on the same book for half the year. Broken Eye is probably the best book, but I always stall on it every re-read. Edit: Libby is great. It's how I'm doing most of my reading rn. I got Dresden 1-7 right now. If you like audiobooks, which you can get on Libby, the Lightbringer audiobooks are quite good. -
What Are You Reading, Part 2
The Unknown Medallion replied to Chaos's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I'm like, halfway through the Broken Eye, and have been for half a year. It's a wonderful book, but I haven't had the time to read a physical book. -

I think it's probably a combination of an obscure non-Sanderson and a scary table.

MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
My phone says 18 minutes ago at this exact moment. Mobiles finicky though, that's why I asked. Edit: It's updated now. 31 minutes. Time to chill in the dead doc. -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Uh, kinda? Not really? I've been trying to do so recently. Character development, you know? Elim me probably doesn't, but I don't expect you to take my word for it. Twinstorm for self pres. Edit: @A Jo in the Bush, doesn't Aman push it back? My vote might still be too late though. -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
There really wasn't much going on then. I have a few thoughts now, foremost being my Araris sus, but I am liking Polly less with how that gained so many votes and dissolved. A couple other things, but I'm out of time. See you right before rollover. -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, not what I said really. Something feels off about Araris's tone. It might be coming back after a while, but it's different than I remember. That's probably not a bad vote. I think generally accusation amounts go Vet Villagers, new elims, vet elims, new villagers. Newer players tend to be hesitant, but docs often suggest voting to newer elims. -

Oh perfect, I've been feeling like voting you anyways, so we can get the dramatic irony of two separate retaliation votes Araris Valerian -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
My village playstyle is pretty much the same as my elim playstyle. Especially when I have a doc to talk in. I tend to be laid back either way and only get serious if I'm in danger. -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I try not to think it makes my head hurt. Not too much is going on tbh. Polly got three votes and then back down to two right? That's the only major subject imo and it seems pretty standard to me. -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't find it any more pointless than any other first vote. Trying to say yours isn't while theirs is is just silly. The fact that it's generating this much discussion proves its point. I'll admit it's generally newer elims or people who haven't been elim in a bit, but elims are on average more likely to back down under less pressure. Like Iced said, they did it recently, there's been a couple others that I can't name, but this is a common phenomenon. I'm not sure why you think there isn't much pressure. You're, I believe, one vote away from being tied for the lead currently. A vote is by nature pressure. I've said it a few times, but they are under no obligation to unvote you if you unvote them. Maybe you don't find it to be very dangerous because you're an experienced semi-returning player who others would be hesitant to exe and they're newer and more likely to change their vote, but that's not a very good reason to call it categorically pointless. -
MR74: The Politics of Gods
The Unknown Medallion replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That's not me, but I do remember somebody doing that. I might have done it in response to them saying it? Not sure. I actually don't like calling a retaliatory vote bad here. It's day one, and revenge is as good a reason as any. Plus, many elims with back down under that kind of pressure, so it can be AI at times. Devotary of Spontaneity, is that you? Around this time tomorrow I believe? -

The Art of Game Creation
The Unknown Medallion replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm not sure anyone would stop you (I feel like someone, maybe me actually, ran something along those lines), but rollover would be changing every cycle, which is annoying for the GM and the players. BTW, I don't really think MRs are much closer than LGs. Because of how we run MRs and QFs, it takes twice as long, which makes MRs roughly equal to LGs I think. QFs are the fast track to GMing right now.
