  1. So, I went to a dance last night; Valentines, of course. Anyways, I think I’ll just put in some moments y’all might enjoy.

    • There was a room where people could play board game, because of course and the room was definitely cooler temperature wise than the actual dance room. Anyways, there was a chalk board and a piece of chalk, and me being the weirdo that I am, drew something. I didn’t take a pic of it, but it was basically what my last drawing in my art thread was. I left after receiving a few compliments from the people who saw me draw it, then I went back to the room an hour or so later, and there are more drawings, and mine had an A++ right next to it.
    • They played “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” and I swear: Everyone popped off. Everyone was singing. I mean, except my cousin who doesn’t like Encanto, because his little brothers have been watching the movie daily and he kinda sits through it, so he just left the room and I laughed so hard.
    • At one point in the dance, the host people whatever said that if any young women wanted to dance to a slow song, they were to take off one of their shoes and place it in the middle of the dance floor. Now, I’m not one that really cares for it, but I thought: “Why not? I have cool socks on,” took a shoe off, and chucked it in the middle and I have no clue if I did hit someone with it. I went to talk with a guy friend and my cousin, and I told them: “No one’s gonna pick up my shoe lol,” but I look back at the sea of people, and someone was holding up my shoe. I kinda went: “Gosh dangit,” and went to go dance with the guy at the slow song. He was dope; taller and younger than me, but a really kewl dude.

    Yeah, I think that’s it.

  2. He grunted, pulling himself up towards Elya, checking every so often on Grace. Upon reaching Elya, Ji gestured to her, climbing a bit higher for Grace.
  3. He grabbed the rope, then turned to her. “You’re comfortable with climbing these, right?”
  4. "Yeah yeah," he said, waving for her to follow as he traced back his steps back to the hammocks.
  5. Ji nodded again, carefully sliding down the rope without much trouble. He jumped down and made his way over to Grace. He stuffed his hands in his hoodie pocket, feeling a softer version of his scowl coming back. "Hey," he said to her. "Would it be alright if we used that whatever thingy on Elya?" @xinoehp512
  6. He nodded, beginning to make his way down, before stopping and peering up at her. He offered the plate of food to her. "Eat. You need the energy."
  7. "I did, already." Ji pulled his sleeve up, revealing fresh blood, yet unblemished skin.
  8. I did draw something last night before I passed out.
  9. "The thingy she had. The, uh..." Ji snapped his fingers a few times. "Magic juice?"
  10. Ji flinched when he heard her cough. “Alright. I can go get some… well, we could ask Grace, but if you still don’t trust her, I know where some meds are.”
  11. Last night, I wanted to get some schoolwork done so I wouldn’t have that much to do today. At around 8:30pm, I was literally at my workspace and I was dozing off. About an hour later at around 9:30pm, I wake up, wanting to just take a few moments to rest before doing schoolwork, so I cleaned up my workspace and went to rest in my bed for a few minutes.

Yeah, so a few minutes turned into about nine hours.

I got four hours of sleep the night before last, so about ten hours of sleep was needed lol.

  12. Ji rolled his eyes at the others, muttering quietly to himself as he snatched up the last plate of food. He turned himself and began to walk to the hammocks, plate in hand as he ignored the others. Even if she were asleep, she should have some food ready for her. As he reached the rope, he looked up at it, a large flat blade appearing by his side. Ji glanced at it, almost remorseful, but placed the plate on the flat and began to climb. He hummed something as he reached Elya. “They made some food down there, and I thought that––” Ji looked up at Elya, concern replacing his scowl as he looked her over. “Are you… are you okay?”
  13. Ji furrowed his brow. “Internal bleeding?”
  14. This is going to be a weird topic for me to gush about, so.. idk, feel free to just ignore this??

I think everyone can agree that listening to music live is better than just listening to the studio version; I think that’s a well-known fact. I mean, duh. It’s better to hear it in-person than over a recording that has gone through hours of editing and revising, but with singers who know what they’re doing with what songs they’re singing, you can literally feel the emotions, whether that be through a happy and uplifting song or a sad and emotional song.

I’m gonna reference a song done by this really small k-pop group––idk if you’ve heard of them––BTS: “The Truth Untold.” Now the studio version is already pretty emotional and you can hear that emotion in their voices, but when listening to a live recording, you can actually see that emotion this vid is a stage mix(?) of multiple performances of that song https://youtu.be/q9yaP4wZ_tI, which I’m going to be referencing.

You can hear that loneliness and longing more clearly in the song in the live version. I can see and hear that emotion mostly from the second guy (going left to right); mostly at 0:53 to 1:09. But something else that actually gives me goosebumps every single time is 3:28 to 3:34 is when the guy belts and it doesn’t really sound like a note, but like a cry; a sorrow-filled scream. It’s not like the studio recording, and honestly, I wish it was a part of it because it fits so well with the lyrics.

The live version feels more real, raw, and depressing; don’t get me wrong, the studio version can hit those points, but not as well as the live version. The live version is the one I listen to whenever I’m writing some love sad moments for Ji.

Anyways, sorry for the TED Talk, but I needed to gush about it for a few minutes.

    K,loveyabai.

  15. He actually looked impressed. Ji carefully wiped the blood off––which only made it smear across his arm––and pulled his sleeve down. “Alright then,” he grunted. “I can tell her about it when I bring her her food.”
  16. He gave Grace, then Verim a wary eye. Ji paused in thought, then let out a sigh. “Fine, but I want to test it first,” he said, his veins coming to life as a small blade appeared. Ji rolled up his bloodied sleeve, then used the ghostly blade to make a small gash in his forearm. Blood dripped off his arm, spattering on the pavement below. He looked up at Grace, raising an eyebrow. “The flask?”
  17. “Still not going to take up your offer,” Ji said to Grace, pointing his fork at her.
  18. Ji forced himself to shrug, then eat the food, though his insides felt twisted as he did so. “We need to find more medical equipment,” he said after swallowing a mouthful. “Maybe a Lifegiver, if we’re really lucky.”
  19. He took the plate, but didn’t eat. “Elya should be eating, not me,” he whispered.
  20. His scowl grew deeper. “I didn’t ask for your opinion on that,” he said.
  21. Ji wiped his eyes, embarrassment flooding him. He was acting like a child. He shouldn’t be this way. He just needed to suck it up and deal with it and not cry over meaningless things like this. He was needed and can actually do something. He sat up in the hammock, it swaying a bit and causing a little panic to arise in him for a second before dying down. Ji looked at his blood-crusted hands and rubbed them together, little flakes of red flittering off. He was going to have to fix that… well, there was a lot of things he had to fix, but this one was one of the most important. He reached out and grabbed the rope, swinging himself on to climb down, but Ji quickly glanced at Elya for a second. That feeling of warmth came again, almost to the point of him smiling and forgetting–– No, he stopped himself, forcing himself to climb down. Stop acting like a kid. Ji let himself fall the last few feet, his feet pounding on the ground as he rose and stuffed his hands in his bloodied hoodie. He walked over to where he saw the rest of the group go, his usual frown coming back. “We need to get bandages,” he said, completely ignoring the new people. “I have a contact that can hook us up, and is that food you’re cooking?”
  22. As he brought his hand back to his chest, Ji looked down at it, studying it for really no reason. He wasn't focused on that, though; something else was catching his attention... A feeling of warmth spread throughout him, mainly in his torso. It was comfortable. It burned through him, warming him to the core. It made him think back on the little memories he had with his family; times of peace and happiness, where he wasn't running for his life or just... well, being useless. Those times were some of the best memories he's ever had, then why was he..? He clenched his hand for a second. No, he thought as he unclenched his hand. Not me. I'm... useless... nothing. He concentrated instead, his veins glowing softly in response. A small ghostly blade hovered over the palm of his hand, the tip of the sword pointing towards the sky. Ji bit his lip––the sword disappearing––then concentrated harder, thinking of something different; a gun, perhaps? Ji sat there, sweat rolling down his face as nothing appeared, his veins dimming. Exhaustion crashed over him, but he fought to do something else––to prove the man wrong––but nothing came. Slowly, his expression shifted from determination to worry, then realization. Untold emotions came, managing to cause his eyes to brim with tears. He shifted in his hammock, shivering as he silently sobbed. Of course, the man had been right. He really was useless and nothing...
