So, I’m in a creative writing class this quarter/semester
I think a good handful of y’all know this. This week, I submitted a story that I wrote in like,,, nine-ish hours that definitely could’ve used more polishingbut it was plenty presentable, except for the ending that I barely had any time to work onfor the rest of the class to look at and give their feedback. But the thing is: I’m not the only one submitting a piece of writing.I was reading this person’s story that they wrote, and to say the least: I had a little boost of self-confidence in the writing I submitted after dragging myself through the first page of their writing. This is not to say the whole story was horrible and that no one should read it––it’s actually a really cute story, like the premise is very cute––but the story just needs some work and it’s nothing a little practice can’t help.
I said to my brother who’s also taking the class that what this person wrote would be a really, really rough draft for me––or just the really, really dumbed down version for me––and he agreed with me, saying that it was a very detailed outline for him.
