Mystic Syn

I was talking with an old friend of mine from way back when, just catching up and all that jazz. We were on the topic of writing and character development and how we’re doing in terms of writing and what plans we have, etc. Then, I said this like almost out of the blue:

“You can’t know what happiness is until you’ve lived in the deepest pits of despair.”

It literally came out of nowhere and I had to take a step back and actually think about what I’d just said.
