  1. The “pt-” in “pterodactyl” makes the “te” sound. The “-ough” in “though” makes the “oh” sound. The “neigh-” in “neighbor” makes the “nay” sound. So, following that set of English grammar rules, the name “Tony” can be spelled as “Ptoughneigh.”

      That's a new one--I thought you were gonna go with the classic GHOUGHPHTHEIGHTTEEAU, which is pronounced "potato".

      Speaking of potatoes and silly spellings thereof, did you know there was a racehorse named Potoooooooo, also pronounced "potatoes"?
