That's... honestly fair.
There's a load of lore, but we need more people who do not understand the lore. Honestly, knowing what sandwich Nameless ate that caused an apocalypse doesn't matter, nor does all the lore I've been throwing out with each post, if you're going into it. It's really just whatever you want it to be.
Just do whatever you want with it, carve out your own magic system if you want, or just develop a new way of doing things. TLT is just a sand box of ideas and nonsensical fun (or traumatized characters in deep drama, but ya know, that's just me.)
TBH, I find the magic systems that have built up over time to be really helpful in visualizing character arcs and getting out ideas.
