    Ribbon guided herself with the waves. Despite being completely blind, she could see and sense her entire environment perfectly. "I was thinking, you know, maybe we could go on a date instead of this whole fighting thing."

    "Thank you," Ribbon said with a bow. She waved her hand and the Mordite chunks fell. A brief interference wave was all that it took. "Fog, I have a thing to admit, I like you."

    She smiled back. "Would never be that easy, would it?" Water started to form around her, hugging her skin to form a protective barrier. Water that resisted all but her touch, her movements, that would protect her. Next came the flowers. Thousands of flowers similar to the one that Ribbon put in Fog's hair blossomed around her, forming a beautiful field. She brought forward her hand and the Mordite blade that Fog had given her fell into her hand. It was much more ornate than it was when she first received it, being now carefully lined with silver patterns and now having proper shape, carved out of the initial spike. Ribbon ran her hand along it, coating it with an aqueous fluid. "I don't want to fight you again, Fog." She sighed. "I understand you must fight me. But that doesn't mean I have to fight back." She didn't make any moves.

    She twirled around Fog, gracefully spinning to avoid the charge. As she passed by Fog, she placed the flower in Fog's hair before Ribbon herself faded away into a million water droplets, disappearing and reappearing far away.

    Ribbon spun the flower stem between her forefinger and thumb, twirling it around and back again. "Yes, it's your choice." Ribbon finally said. "But I think you know that you won't kill me here, Fog." She started to pace around Fog, speaking as she walked. "I've had a lot of time to look through Rirrom's notes. For such a depressing guy, he sure did have a lot of research about what he could do. What I could do." She stared directly into Fog's eyes (or the equivalent of it). "I can do many things for you, Fog, but one of the few things I cannot do is die for you."

    I thought initially that it was a reference to self but the last line throws that theory off, I will admit.

    She blinked. "You're here to kill me, on the Witherlord's orders." She sighed. "It would be easy for you now, I think, using a Mordite blade and a bit of deception." She brought her hand up, and grasped a forming flower, which sprung open in her hand. "It doesn't need to be like this, Fog." She said softly, "The beauty of the world is that you get to choose."
