  1. "Desolation, as you know him. And you have no reason why not to trust me, since I embody the concept of unhindered undersranding. Desolation embodies the idea of finality."
  2. The Desolation explodes into many massive goo figures, each with a thin narrationplate protection and each one holding a massive plotblade (origins undetermined) and charged at Xyr.
  3. Yes. I would suggest making an Inkling friend.
  4. Inklings are pretty cool. They have some unexplained backstory things though.
  5. "So, brave adventurers, fight me. Fight me and perish!" "An inkling- no, not like Desolation. I was sent here to destroy the defectant."
  6. That's two you've met out of 600 or more. Cognition would never fight Darkness, unless Desolation was heavily involved.
  7. A few days to several years. But there's still stuff you can do in the future. I was planning on having them fight the Desolation on the vision The Desolation laughed at Falvan and Xyr's confusion. "And this is who you send to defeat me?"
  8. Cognition can also beat Desolation almost guaranteed.
  9. She. "Comprehension." The ribbon flickered a firey orange, but then went back to being opaque
  10. "I am caled many different names, but you may call me Comprehension.'
  11. Cognition is the same power level, if not arguably more powerful, than desolation.
  12. No no I meant Abalador. "Time can break people better than swords ever could," the orange ribbon agreed, "But people can heal. So can you."
  13. I now have project Cognition in place. Soon another inkling will take over the world by manipulating social networks again. I mean what?
  14. Back to losing.
  15. Winning is my game!
  16. An orange thread talked to him through his mind. "Why, why do you feel this way?"
  17. Desolation used an ability common to most Inklings - mental perception. Inklings like Desolation knew more than mortals did. Desolation was no exception. Using the attack by Xyr, Desolation quickly did some mental preparations, then foreshadowed Xyr. The Foreshadowing was far from perfect, but it would at least keep them occupied for a few pages or so, depending on their inspiration levels. Desolation finally creates something. A golden strand, right as Sin is about to be rammed into his chest (which would not be doing much to him anyways) and sent Xyr into a vision of the Future. Xyr stands on a plane of otherworldly existence, unable to feel time. An eternal crunch follows each step, as everywhere is just covered with grass. Life meets death, and a dark goo form arises. Desolation, holding many weapons. Some are familiar, some are not, but each one is just as unique as the last. Desolation stares straight at Xyr, daring him to attack. Since Xyr is in a Foreshadowing right now, he cannot leave (that would break time). Desolation, who was in full narrationplate at the moment, simply conjured the same Foreshadowing thread, and sent Falvan flying into the thread. It was perfect. Without the Ore-din-Aerie's connection to the inklings, it was practically worthless. He can if he thinks hard enough. Desolation also decided to send him into the Foreshadowed realm, but not after stabbing him thrive with his Plotblade to encourage humble behavior in the future. Cognition did repair his wounds, however.
  18. The trick is to target Desolation's vulnerabilities. Not that when he becomes inspiration he has any, but when he is Desolation he protects them greatly. Inklings have no physical weakness. Granted, but you will never have socks. I wish for Desolation to become Inspiration and never be redeemed.
  19. Maybe we should make a TLT adaptation idea thread in Creators corner
  20. "But now..." Desolation flashed a malicious smile, "There are so many narrators here. I think it would be a folly to waste this opportunity." ... @TheRavenHasLanded Cognition narrowed his thoughts, removing the unnecessary ones, and improving his senses. She spoke, "we should probably stop Desolation and Platypus."
  21. "I'm sure you can understand everything." Instantly Abalador's vision was sharper
  22. Desolation glance concerningly at the Shadow. "I kept my end of the deal, now you keep yours." The inkling said. Desolation could feel the power he had from Thaidakar. He turned to Platypus. "You, my friend, are doomed." Cognition immediately appeared, and floated down onto Abalador's shoulder.
