Hah, gosh that really does give me the feels That could be really interesting, a kind of nested champions thing for the KR.

Welcome to the 17th Shard, where you come for the memes and stay for the discussion Got any crazy/out-there theories? I'd love to hear one!

I don't think Taln's going to become a splinter of Honor (smiles schemilly) I think Taln's going to be Odium's Champion. Red eyes - result of being Connected to Odium, we've seen it with the Fused and Trell's kandra(entities Connected to Shards Invested offworld) Golden light - Odium Nine shadows - the nine other Heralds who broke the Oathpact, the nine Unmade, the nine Void Surges, you name it, there's plenty of nines Somehow seems familiar to Dalinar - Stonewards and Bondsmiths share a Surge, Taln and Dalinar were(in this theory) both approached by Odium, who offers to take their pain(Taln's got a lot of that), saying it's his fault(Taln would 10/10 agree), Taln and Dalinar both have Connection to a Shard of Adonalsium.(Edited from Honor) Sorry if this is the wrong spot for this theory, it's just something that I've been kind of obsessed with recently, so I jumped at an opportunity I definitely agree that there will be a kind of "ten patron Radiants", and that they may or may not become splinters or Heralds(is there a difference, I'm not sure). I'm looking forward to who they'll be. I don't like/trust Malata, though, with being sworn to the Diagram, but maybe her loyalties will be what brings the KR and Diagram together at some point in the future?

What do you mean? Are these people's usernames in 17th shard? -
1) Szeth - He's all about doing the right thing, and I(unfortunately, like Nale) appreciate that. I think he's one of the best(and most confused) characters. I think that Szeth, of all Cosmere characters, is the most fit to wield Nightblood. Vasher is too Cosmere-aware and therefore too likely to use it to serve his own interests, Kelsier is Kelsier, Hoid is... well, Hoid. Szeth as a Skybreaker is, in my opinion, the individual least likely to use Nightblood in a way that would be judged as "wrong". I think he's responsible enough for it, and also not a Worldhopper. 2) Lift is nice, but Wyndle... Wyndle makes me laugh every time. IMO Wyndle and Lopen could have some great convos, but I think Lift is the best match for him to get humor. 3) Leshwi - I love that we have a Fused that has character, a sense of honor, and seems to genuinely be a decent being(aside from the whole Cognitive Shadow sworn to Odium thing). I'm not shipping her with Kaladin, but I definitely want to see more of her. She seems important, and like she could be a good character(not protagonisty good, just characterwise good).

I would never, ever, ever wear earring or any other kind of piercing. I would campaign to spread the word. I would finally know the reason for global warming. I would probably go and cry, because Hemalurgy(and likely Ruin's presence) would be very, very scary. So, yeah, nothing too crazy.

So Riino, the Hoed from Elantris who's mantra is "so beautiful, once so very beautiful", is the lighthouse keeper in Shadesmar. Okay. Wow. Do we know of any other series with Elantrians in them? Or, I guess a better question would be, do we know any other Worldhoppers from Sel?

Falkir the Vessel of THeory has come to Invest this bare system. Congratulations, you now have an endless supply of skeptics and conspiracy theorists who will constantly plague the Happy Inquisitor with theories and debates on exactly what the Shard of Thought put in their drink.

Being left alone Like just not associating with anyone It's great, no one would ever know, and as soon as someone was near them, or interacting with them in any way, their weakness would deactivate

What about the Skybreakers?
Vessel of Theory replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
It's been roughly a year since the Battle of Thaylen Field, so a lot might have happened with the Skybreakers. I'm not sure how Nale and the Skybreakers would go about seeking justice for the singers without aiding the Fused... I'd guess that the Skybreakers are doing non-surgebindy stuff, or maybe teaching combat? But they didn't! At least, not necessarily... I think we just need Rhythm of War or the next book to answer our questions. I definitely think that if the Skybreakers were making themselves known as allies to the Dawnsingers, they'd have participated more actively in some of the clashes. -
Mmmm, theory Here's the Coppermind entry for aviar, you've probably looked at it though. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Aviar Mraize is definitely a worldhopper, and there might be people around him(or maybe Mraize himself) who would benefit from having an Aviar nearby to conceal things.

[OB spoiler] Why do the spren form Nahel bonds at all?
Vessel of Theory replied to robardin's topic in Stormlight Archive
Okay makes sense, kind of This is where I know little So the Heralds are Heralds because of the Oathpact, and the Honorblades gave them "Radiant" abilities through the Honorblades' Connection to Honor, not a spren bond. So, question: If the Honorblades are connected to Honor, and Honor is dead, where do the Honorblades draw the Investiture from? Do they just have unlimited Investiture? -
Hahaha, I love that Nightblood's kinda of a solve-all for driving people away, but if the goal was loneliness, I'd probably just use Lightweaving to scare everyone away. That or the Midnight Essence, that stuff sounds downright spooky.

[OB spoiler] Why do the spren form Nahel bonds at all?
Vessel of Theory replied to robardin's topic in Stormlight Archive
So Honor(kind of) made Invested pieces of himself? And then Odium was able to kill him because he didn't have enough Investiture? Basically the Honorblades make the Herald then, not the Oathpact? -

Okay, thanks So, a related question that stems from this one, I think... When Honor made the Heralds, and gave them full access to his Investiture, and then they went through a whole heccin bunch of Desolations, how did Honor still have Investiture? Or is it a Ruin-Preservation situation, where Honor(as Preservation, metaphorically) was "destroyed" by Odium(metaphorically Ruin) because his Investiture was being used by the Heralds? Also... Do we know when Honor was broken? Wouldn't the Heralds have drawn Investiture from him at some point, only to find that he was dead? Can someone help me clear this up? -
Thanks I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but if y'all want to check out my crazy Odium's Champion theory... it's in the thread, near bottom, and no one is talking about it
