The colonel stood firm as he regarded the vehicle, "I speak for both me and Maddy, we're going." The colonel nodded towards Maddy, "prepare for the worst. I've seen this 'Trace' in a fight, and she's deadly."

Kuno took off from where he had been standing in the Inn's kitchen with Catorphia close behind him, ever vigilant. He walked out of the building and down the street towards the main plaza where everything had happened just a few nights before. Just across from where Kuno entered the plaza stood the 'Mayor's Mansion.' Kuno moved towards it without checking that the others were following him. Instead of approaching through the front gates, he looped around to a rear entrance where only a single guardsman stood. The guardsman regarded Kuno doubtfully, but his only response was to stand confidently and smile at the guard. "Fetch William for me my boy." The guard's doubt did not leave in any regard. "An' who might be askin' for him?" Kuno's face adopted a serious expression for a brief second, "Tell him that his benefactor, the 'Unifier' needs to speak with him immediately." The guard called a house servant over to deliver the message for him. While he did so, Kuno turned to Fie, "try to stand back with Catorphia, if we can make him believe that you are not worth his notice, it might be a boon for us."

The colonel read through the last report, "we're going to Lacion Island. Do you think that he can get us all the way there?" He then nudged Maddy, "shape up, we're moving." @Matrim's Dice

"Good, then we should move now. I can get you your 'small handful' immediately if need be."

"My friend, if you want to wait until tomorrow, then you are more then welcome to. I must warn you, I might have moved on to the next step already. I believe you yourself stated that we must start escalating with those who would destroy us." Kuno paused for a moment, apparently thinking, "how many crystals would you need?"

Kuno either didn't hear the last statement, or he ignored it. "All you must do is listen, then you must tell me how you feel about the new mayor's stance toward me and our relationship. The most important aspect that you must help me with is the question of loyalty. I'm sure that someone with your skillfully light touch would be irreplaceable in such a scenario. Are you willing to help me in this way my friend?"

"Not yet, the reports are still coming in. Who's your friend?"

"What about your friends?"

"Yes, if you're coming with us, I need to know if you can hold your own. I'm not getting anything from Quinn, but that could mean that she's in the middle of an op. I think the best we can do is leave a message for her, because we have to move now."

Hey y'all,
Sorry about last week. I had absolutely no access to internet for the first half, and the second half of the week was just horrible emotionally, so I had little to no presence without the intent. However, even with school starting this week, I plan to be more active starting now, so we'll see how this commitment goes.
I also notice that I turn to the Shard whenever I'm purposely trying to procrastinate doing schoolwork, so school starting up might be the reason that I'm more active.
I know that I don't do these "status updates," ever, but I felt like this one was important to do for some reason that I honestly can't fathom.
By the way, I hope y'all have a thoroughly boring and mundane new year, 'cause this whole "interesting" thing is overrated.

I honestly can't count how many times I've seen Phineas and Ferb, such an excellent show when you just want something playing on the TV. I'll be honest, I watch it completely for Doofenshmirtz and Perry the Platypus. Already watched through Mando season 2 cause I'm a nerd and I enjoy watching it on the consistent schedule for release.

'Last report came a few islands from here, I'm guessing that's a good place to start. I'll try to raise Quinn on the Military net again." Tulcam got to work on his communicator.

"Whoever it is, they look like Janice." "It sounds like death. I'm getting a lot of confirmed and unconfirmed casualties." Tulcam reviewed the reports on his device. "A lot of casualties. It's been declared a high priority by High Command, how quick is this 'Trace?' There's no way this could be all her." As Tulcam reviewed more and more reports, his facial expression changed from shock to concern.

Tulcam moved to walk on before pausing again, bringing the communication device back to his ear. After a brief moment, he hurriedly stuffed the device back into a pocket. "We have a situation. Someone matching one of the prisoner's description has been very busy. I need to know absolutely everything that you have on the one called 'Janice.'"
