"No better anesthetic than a good ol' smack in the face I guess. I've been reading through the reports from the garrison, and they've determined which general direction 'Trace' went, but they haven't found her yet. More importantly, she wasn't alone. Do you know if Trace had any close allies?"

The colonel raised his eyebrow at Cadenza. "Do we have something else in case that doesn't work? After all, this 'Trace' managed to tear a ship in half with her power, what makes you think a little ice can stop her?"

"Good thing we're not going to do that. Do we want to try a distraction Duster Jay?" @Negative_Null

"We can try, but I don't know if we can do that. Do we have anything that we can use to knock her out?"

"Whatever it is, it'll make this tough."

Mustachio mulled over the sudden influx of strange people even though most of them had left. Better that then thinking about how he lost the Quantitainium, now how was he supposed to stay on schedule for when Agent Ω showed up? Well, maybe Ω would be caught up with all of these new guys, that might buy him some time. Of course, that mainly depends on how much trouble they cause; they don't like it when people make unannounced trouble. Mustachio started to wring his hands. Well, so long as they didn't do anything too flashy and kept their heads down, everything should stay more or less normal. Now, how to replace the Quantitainium . . .

Mustachio speaks as the man leaves, although he doesn't seem to be speaking to anyone in particular. "Well if he keeps that up, he won't last long. I wonder if they'll send Agent ß after him. At the very least he'll draw the Foundation's attention away from me, and th-" Mustachio's face turned red, "Almighty Sears, I still need the Quantitainium!"

"Excellent, I just wanted to make sure that you know how absolutely little your description narrows down what I'm supposed to be looking for. If you want a 'glowing ord,' then look above your head at the Light Bulb." Mustachio barely managed to keep himself from laughing.

Mustachio chuckled shortly before his cleared his throat loudly. "Just a quick question in order to help me remember, is this your first time here?"

The colonel snapped around to face Jack. "You mean to tell me that you don't only know what he's talking about, but you've seen it before?"

He leaped in shock and let out a short string of curses as his cheap suit suddenly had several new holes in it. As the holes manifested, dozens of strangely shaped devices clattered all over the ground. Mustachio spoke as he cleaned up the mess. "Cheese man, I get it, non-negotiable. Don't be so touchy." Mustachio rolled his eyes as if gauntlet-guy was the problem. "I'll have you know that I was going to give you help, but now just for that, I won't. You know what you're being right now, you're being a big jerk; the least you could do is help me."

The colonel gave Jay a deadly serious glare with eyes that smoldered like embers leftover from a burning blaze. "My objective is to neutralize 'Trace,' or 'Janice,' or whatever you want to call her. 'Preferably alive, but by any means necessary,' those are my orders, and I intend to follow them."

The colonel turned to Jay. "I hope you plan on telling me more about that eventually."

Since I know "Peregrino" is that kinda guy, I figured I'd add something to this amazing thread. In the smallest print possible on the side of the tent bag (tucked cleanly out of sight) it says and I quote, "instructions sold separately."

The colonel did a headcount. "This has better be everyone Jay, we need to move now." The colonel leaned towards the driver. "Lacion Island, how fast do you think you can get there?" @xinoehp512

"Ah, yup, see? There it is, that disconnect again. Your tone of voice is telling me that it would be a problem, but I don't see one." Mustachio reached into another one of his pockets. "If you'd just come with me, then we could take care of it in no time."

A clank sounded as a handheld device struck the floor. Mustachio jumped back and let out a brief curse, "alright, alright, I get it. I mean, come on man, I just wanted to learn how it works so that I might be able to replicate the effects, no biggie."
