  1. Azerly scoffs, scolding himself for his indecisiveness. He needs to stop wasting time- it's not as if this facility actually poses any threat to him. In fact, he didn't even need to leave this hill to pull of this plan. And so, he stands.
  2. Grace does so directly before the dog lunges at Candence, aiming for her wing, teeth bared and shining.
  3. Meanwhile... Azerly looks from a hill down onto a small building on the edge of a lake- Lake Michigan, in fact. This was the Accura North American Disposal Facility, near Chicago. Most of it was underground, of course- a huge building complex would draw to much attention. Compared to something like that, this tiny above ground building was just a shack. He winces. His implants were especially painful today. He shakes his head and continues to consider if he should even continue to go ahead with his plan...
  4. The devildog ignores the stick, and has now broken into a walk, anticipation in it's eyes. "Uh, Candence, can you torch that thing?"
  5. "Because there's a demon dog in front of us?" says Grace as the aforementioned dog creeps closer, intent clear in it's eyes.
  6. If there's a PM, could I be added to that?
  7. "That growling. It's coming from over there-" she freezes before she points at the tree, silent. A black spots prowls out, still growling. It appears to be a large, black dog- but something about it is very, very wrong. It's eyes are too focused, and they exude a malice you've never seen in an animal. It's teeth were bared, and you can see specks of red on the otherwise perfectly white canines.
  8. "Oh, we can just go outside of the city. But I can't do that now... my mom would kill me. Uh, figuratively. And it's a long walk." She turns to Lilliana. "Do you want to come with... does anyone else hear that?" Indeed, what sounds like a low growling comes from a nearby knot of trees.
  9. "I'm very excited to get slammed into the ground by Hoid's impressive insults."
  10. "Hey, I advised against it too, but democracy... Oh, and I became a Firesoul."
  11. "Uh... yeah, I remember you. Man, am I going to miss the internet..."
  12. "I think so, yeah, if DnD with Null is what you're talking about."
  13. "Oh, hello. I never did tell you guys who I am on the shard- I was AmazingGoob."
  14. "Hello Lilliana! My name is Grace. I think magic's returned... along with all the magical creatures. Such as Cadence here. And there was also a genie."
  15. "Ahaha, very funny. Let's do it together, alright?"
  16. "Hello! Are you aware that the world is going mad?"
  17. The Accura Corporation (Also known as the "The Three-Headed Hydra" by it's few opposers) is a world-spanning ghost. There's no mention of it anywhere- not in any newspapers, government records, other company records, nowhere. As far as the wider world is concerned, it simply doesn't exist. But it does. It hides underground, in plain sight, even in the sky- it hides behind behind exorbitant amount of bribes, shell companies, kidnappings, blackmail, and assassinations. They aren't interested in money, however. Instead, they seek to experiment with magic and technology for, presumably, their own gain, and they will do anything and everything to progress this, ethics and morals ignored. Human experimentation is a norm for them, twisting flesh and breaking minds to see what happens. The Corporation has three branches, each dedicated to a different type of experimentation. They are: The Technological Division Your conventional machinery- electricity powers cybernetics, enhancing minds and bodies while also controlling them, wielding plasma rifles and nanobots to tear through enemies. The Arcane Division Mystics and mages, this division deals in psychics, psionics, wizards, sorcerers, and darker beings... The Biological Division DNA is manipulated and the natural order disrupted- monstrosities flow from their facilities, hybrids that should not be born, and tentacles and claws grafted where an arm should be. The worst aspect? The three often collaborate for experiments. Nanobots enhance the strength of a giant spider, machines attach to your mind to double the power of your psionics, and dragons roar under a kilometer of rock. And nothing good can happen when all three come together... Unfortunately, you are one of the unlucky people to be abducted by them, taken to one of their facilities, experimented on, and are now slated to be disposed. Your families have at best been mindwiped of your very existence, or at worst have been abducted as well and sent off far away. You now sit in a cell, inhibitors attached to suppress any abilities you might of gained, and simple locks or shut-offs for the more physical abilities, just waiting to be recycled or incinerated- you can hear the prisoners in neighboring cells, but otherwise can't see outside your cell, which contains nothing but a bed and a toilet.
