The tavern was shockingly lively for the middle of the night. Patrons of all shapes and sizes nursed drinks much the same. Wine in one hand, gin in the other, ale in the most. The smell of it all floated up to her, nauseatingly thick. Shara picked her way around the tables, not paying heed to any of the men who looked her up and down as she passed. She looked awfully official for a tavern, in her pressed slacks and sharp blouse. How often did these men see a woman wearing pants? Garment was rather small and remote, so Shara imagined that professional attire hadn’t changed much in the past decades. She sat next to a woman at the bar. Josephine, the one who’d seemed a bit out of her depth in the meetings, but held it together well. What was she doing at a place like this in the middle of the night? Then again, what was Shara doing at a place like this in the middle of the night? She flagged down a bartender. “Do you serve coffee?” The man blinked. “I mean, yes.” “Coffee, please. No alcohol, a little cream. Thanks.” After a few moments, the man just shrugged and set about making her odd request. Shara didn’t mind his looks. She’d garnered a small reputation for sticking out back in Elendel. Being perceived as odd no longer bothered her. Psst, Lotus, you inspired me.

Since a few people have pointed this out now I kinda want to address it. I voted on Exp partially as a poke, partially to bandwagon on him because for a moment it seemed better than voting off someone I wasn't really suspicious of. But I moved my vote off of Exp before anyone else voted on him after me, and it stayed on Ventyl until the end of the round. So, yeah, I created a viable wagon, but I moved off it, so I'm confused why I'm the one who's being looked at about this when I didn't even vote on him at the end. I still don't know what to think about Ventyl. Earlier I said his chaos confused me, and that remains the same even after rereading D1 and our PMs. I know an elim probably wouldn't be blatant enough to blackmail someone, jokingly or not. So there. Suspicious of Ventyl still, but confused. That's where I stand. Szeth still reading mild elim to me. Archer's posts are sound, with good reasoning, so I'm reading him village. So far, the only really solid village reads I have are Archer and manukos. The code pm plan just screams village to me, honestly. Currently dealing with a lot irl, so this post isn't very well worded. After I deal with everything I should be back to giving better analysis. Hopefully.

Shara blinked away the sleep that threatened to overtake her. Iden was partially right: she’d been up most of the night and day, though she’d snuck small naps here and there. Her body would give out soon, but she wasn’t ready for that. She had work to do. Yet again, she’d burned a candle to its end, though the candles they were provided were small and cheap, so it didn’t shock her. The last remnants of the light flickered over her notes. Scratched out theories, maps of the meeting building, a thorough analysis of what could’ve made people suspect Zara… all organized in neat stacks. A discard pile sat under the desk. And in front of her, the single note. He’d said it’d been a joke. The blackmail was just his teasing, the way he always bounced around meetings, causing chaos. She didn’t know the Lafay Etteax very well. She’d attended a convention he was at before, but their interactions had been brief and ended shortly. People reassured her she was fine, that no harm would befall her, and yet… The candle puttered out. She shivered. Shara pushed away from the desk. Time for a walk. Some fresh night air and a (non-alcoholic) drink at a late night tavern would do her some good. She didn’t need anything muddying her mind, but perhaps a coffee to keep her up and steady her tired thoughts. ...did Garmet taverns even serve coffee? This is just some rp! For fun for people who want to read it this is in honor of the coffee I had at 7pm last night after doing 5 hours of spanish homework

That really only hurts the village. You gotta read the thread and participate to figure out what's going on, and asking for summaries isn't always the best option. But you're being so blatantly chaotic that I can't imagine you're an elim. Though, I guess in my limited experience playing with you (one game lol) and knowing you irl, blatant chaos is just... your thing. ...kandra? I have no backing for my suspicion other than your chaos and the... *cough* blackmail Anyway, the loss of the tineye is unfortunate and I'm actually pretty bummed, because most of the games I've played so far have been super pm limited so I was excited for an open PM game. Big sad. I'm curious about this clever plan of yours, though I doubt you're willing to share lol. This rubs me the wrong way, but again, the overly abrasive tone and slight leaning to chaos makes me hesitant to call you out as an elim. At least in most games I've played, elims try to not draw too much attention to themselves? My read on you is definitely leaning down rather than up though. I don't think we've played enough games together for me to totally grasp your playstyle.

Iden entered the room to see soft candle light, flickering on the wall in lazy movements. For a moment, he watched the light on the wall before turning to see the source. The candle itself burned low, almost out of wax. Shara sat at the desk, papers spread out, though organized. She never worked in disarray. “Shara, you were up all night and day. You should sleep now.” She shook her head, not bothering to look at him. “Can’t. The execution of Zara has me worried. Everyone is in a frenzy.” “You suspected him yourself at one point.” “And I let go of that suspicion quickly. It was unfounded. And now we’ve lost the one person who managed messages. I hear they’re shutting down the mail room.” Iden sighed. The loss of Zara was an unfortunate one. He hadn’t thought much about the different people to suspect, but their messenger? He felt more trapped than ever. “You think they would throw suspicion on the messenger on purpose?” Shara shook her head, moving a full paper out of the way to reveal another, blank one. “That hurts the rebellion too. I can’t imagine the loss of the mail room does them any good. I think it was a frenzy, an effort to follow up the successful capturing of Isendwel. Now, quiet, I need to focus.” She began hurriedly scribbling notes on the blank paper. Iden sighed. When will that girl learn to rest? Discussion to come

I suppose I should come out here and say that I have a hard time picking up on jokes over text, so if what happened in PMs with Ventyl was a joke, I couldn’t tell. Essentially, Ventyl threatened to possibly kill me if I voted on him. I chose to vote on him because I didn’t like this, and my vote on Exp was shoddy at best, and also I don’t want to give in to blackmail.

Experience Ventyl I'm being blackmailed in PMs. I'm not sure if it's joking or not, but it's uncomfortable.

Shara’s eyes drooped. The single candle lighting her work burned low, the tiny flame licking at the last bit of charred wick. She couldn’t remember how long she’d been at the desk, pouring over her analysis, making lists of people she barely knew. Iden snored softly in the farther bed, the book he’d been reading half open on the tiny side table between their beds. Occasionally, he’d let out a single loud snore, mumble something incomprehensible, and turn over. Shara had long since learned how to tune him out. A few names stuck out to her. Earl Euphemie, the reporter along for the ride. She knew a fellow observant person when she saw one. The keen look in his eyes set her on edge, or maybe it was just that she didn’t particularly like reporters. One too many bad experiences with sensationalized headlines. The Lafay Etteax. Quiet, seemingly a bit out of it in the meetings. Occasionally leaning over to the people next to him to ask questions. She’d have to talk to him more, get a read on him. Maybe he was just tired. And then there was the issue of the silent few. Those that had sat in the meetings, watching but saying nothing. Some she’d seen scribbling notes, others just sat there. Lumen, Shara could write off. She was a secretary, a bit similar to Shara’s role. However, Shara was often permitted to add in her thoughts in meetings, while Lumen would tend to be more silent. Shara put a star by her name. Get to know her. That left Magrait, Walker, Azmine, and Zara. She didn’t know much of the first three, but Zara… well, Zara normally talked more. Shara circled his name. Alright, so, we haven't heard from: Experience, Devotary, Azmine, Mist, and TUO. In LG74, I was village and we lost in part due to village inactivity. And in Striker's last MR, I was an elim and we won partially thanks to village inactivity yet again. I'm not gonna lose this game the same way!! No thank you. I trust that Devotary, Azmine, and Experience will show up. I know that TUO tends to have some internet issues (he's mentioned it before) so I worry if he'll show up D1 or not. I haven't played enough games with Mist to know their standard level of activity. Have I played any games with Mist? Time to go look lol. In an effort to not drag yet another name onto the voting list, I'm gonna vote Experience. @Experience consider this a poke vote for now. I have no way to justify voting on you otherwise, since you haven't posted, but join us!!! What did Jondesu ever do to you? A very uncomprehensive reads list: Archer - village (for good analysis right off the bat. Useful! Thanks friend) TJ - mild vil (not much reasoning, just good vibes) Drake- mild vil (solid reasoning) Araris- mild vil (nice pm conversation!) Mat- null- (Mat you're giving me weird vibes this game) Szeth- mild elim (not enough to vote on him, but the announcement about going straight for Lerasium makes me feel weird. Also, give us some analysis!! I wanna know your thoughts) Ventyl- mild elim (I know you've got more thoughts than that my guy. Sus)

24 hours into their predicament, Shara wanted nothing more than to leave behind the stuffy meeting halls. She had better things to do than be trapped with a bunch of incompetent politicians who only cared about themselves. She’d come here with Iden to inspire better policies, not to listen to people whine and complain. Iden, her employer, paced back and forth in their cramped room they shared. It was bad enough to have to share this tiny space for a week, but now they were stuck indefinitely. At least they had separate beds. Stressed, annoyed, and tired, Shara did what she did best: work. “I’ve made a note of every person Isendwel may have had a connection with, based on previous interactions at other events, who she often ate with, and where she is from.” Iden stopped pacing and peered at the comprehensive spreadsheet. It was pretty good, if she did say so herself. He nodded. “Impressive. You’ve noted the cleaner. Why?” “He cleaned Isendwel’s desk second after the first meeting.” “You noticed that? Who am I kidding, of course you did.” A satisfied smile pulled at Shara’s lips, but she suppressed it. She knew she was good, no need to seem visibly cocky. Iden did enough of that for the both of them. -0- Hellooooooooo LG77. This is definitely my most complicated game yet, so very excited to be playing. Let's see if I can hit 200 words more than once a day lol. Initial thoughts: There are an insane amount of roles and possible role combinations, so I'm wondering how many were left out. There's no possible way that every ability was used, unless Striker is an insane person. (He kind of is, but that's beside the point). Thinking of what twinborn combinations could be out there, especially considering some allomantic and feruchemic abilities do a lot of the same thing. Now I'm worried that Striker is more insane than first thought and there's some crazy OP combinations out there. Or just... completely random combinations that cause maximum chaos. I feel like people who played the original run of this game may have more insight into the rules than I do. Anyone have any ~interesting tidbits~ of information they're willing to share to the thread? 3 would make sense if the elim team has a bloodmaker or thug, but I agree, 4 makes the most sense. Also, I missed this in the rules. The kandra can change people???? Uh oh Are you saying this is including day and night? Because that makes sense. 6 for the day (short post, pm, vote, 6 boxings) and then night (short post, pm, 5 boxings) makes that 11 a cycle.

I knew about the brig part, but I had no idea the search lights also could've outed us. That could've been really bad.
-
I'm cracking up because sart claiming trapper was unplanned and caused inordinate amounts of panic (mostly from me) in the elim doc. I should also add that me backing up my scans was a complete lie and the stuff in the thread was total coincidence, though I did scan you on like C4 or C5 lmao.
-
@Matrim's Dice @Sart gg friends, it was so much fun to plot with y'all. Somehow, the disaster trio pulled through. Edit: PLAN BRIG

Unfortunately, I must vote Experience. O7

Sart Everything is confusing. I wondered if two village investigators was a possibility, because having to scan twice for alignment does take a while. Between Quinn and I, we only found three total alignments. I find it hard to believe that the elim team would have a trapper, so either I'm wrong with my elim read and sart is a trapper (doubt) or he's lying. Edit: I’m okay with a 24 hour cycle! I just lost power, and we’re expecting some storms and flooding tonight and tomorrow, so I may be MIA. I will do my best to check the thread when possible.

Okay I can at the very least promise that I had nothing to do with this lol, so I’m not sure how this associates me with sart. Well, that’s not pleasant uhhh can someone brig me or something. Exp? Hahaha. Sigh Edit: Okay we have two trappers who... barely used their ability? Unless some of those hospitalizations weren't elim attacks. I'm calling bs
-
That's a new one XD
-
She got outed on C2 and Gears asked for her to be protected. But now it makes sense why she wasn't brigged at least, if you missed it.
-
I'm curious: why didn't you brig Quinn when it was requested? But that explains why the Agent didn't improve any parts on C1
-
Okay so I scanned you first C2, and on C3 said this: Bc you had just shown up as having no role, and I'd been assuming you had one, so I was confused. But C4 I did my reads list, and you were at the top, because you'd just popped up village for me. After that I went on to scan Randby bc you'd been voting on her at that point, and I wanted to see if your suspicion was founded and if we had an inactive elim.
