  1. I'm waiting. No problem, really. I've been avoiding, like, everything haha. Focused on my Stormlight reread, and that's it. Haven't listened to anything Shardcast or any other Cosmere related podcasts for a while.
  2. Soooo many questions in a cover. Love it.
  3. This was brilliant. Nearly spit my coffee out at that last bit
  4. Took this a while ago, but it was Bondsmith, Windrunner, then Edgedancer in that order I wish I had a screenshot of that, it was a nice surprise for sure. I thought I'd be a Windrunner or Skybreaker first.
  5. Really great video from Brandon! He later corrected himself about Oathbringer being an Honorblade on his livestream...stuff happens. I am living for this Lift/Kaladin team up! No more chapter reads for me...time to sit, and wait for the release!
  6. Fantastic interview, Chaos! Always cool to hear from Kara and Isaac.
  7. Those cards look amazing! And I'm a sucker for coins and pins and such. That Wit coin is really something.
  8. With the Way of Kings kickstarter well underway, I felt inspired and I decided to check out some of the apparel on Brandon's site. Decided to order a Knights Radiant shirt, a car decal, and a Bondsmith pendant. Really excited to get this stuff, on top of the great stuff coming with the WoK leatherbound. What are some of your favorite Cosmere apparel and trinkets that you've all gathered and collected?
  9. Soooo excited for this Dawnshard novella! Just so curious to see how this links to Rhythm of War (I know it won't be "essential" for RoW).
  10. This has been crazy helpful not only for me, but for introducing friends to the Cosmere! Thanks!
  11. Favorite: The Shadow Rising, followed closely by A Memory of Light. Least Favorite: Path of Daggers...when they talk about the slog, it's really this book...Crossroads of Twilight is realllly close, though.
  12. Whether you want to buy the kickstarter or not, that's up to you. It's a pricey collectors item, a beautiful piece of art, but the story is ultimately the same. I love books, and I also love beautiful, sort of definitive editions. It's a weird mindset I have, but there you go! I have every leatherbound except for Warbreaker (which I will get when the next run is released). I do use them for reading. Personally, I think it adds to the experience. The art, the font, the look, the quality...it all adds to my experience reading the story. I don't go anywhere with these leatherbounds, I read them in the comfort of my own home, and I read them in a way where I won't damage them. I'll admit, I typically read all of my books as if they were a leatherbound haha. However, I mostly read on my bed, I don't usually handle the book much, and I don't really read in chairs, unless it's for school or work. They are still in excellent quality! Beyond reading them, they are beautiful display pieces! I look at them and I feel good about my purchases! Cannot wait for The Way of Kings!
  13. I'm sure they'll release a physical copy in stores eventually. But the cheaper Kickstarter tiers would be a good place to check out, too. Tier 2 is a physical copy and online. Can't wait to read this one!
  14. The man is an animal! Even when you think he's going slow, or thinks he himself is going slow (he's really not slow), he's way ahead of the game haha. So excited!
  15. Like others have said, it really depends on you. The story is the same, but it's the presentation that really makes these things special. I love them, they're incredible quality, and I do read them. I don't really go anywhere crazy to read my books, since I'm usually home so there's no real risk of damaging them...I am also just really protective of all of my books haha. The new art, the quality of the pages, and the physical presence really make reading these books a joy. It just adds a new layer to the experience. I bought the Mistborn trilogy a while ago, and I'm waiting for the Elantris reprint to come in the mail right now. I also backed the Way of Kings kickstarter. It's up to you, but if you have the means, and the desire to get them, I say go for it!
  16. Dancing is not my strongest attribute in the theatre world either haha. I love Chess, First Date, Last Five Years, and Bye Bye Birdie (I honestly think it's better than Grease...). Tuck Everlasting is a good one for sure. I've not heard of Daddy Long Legs, though.
  17. That was incredibly quick! Managed to get my order in for Tier 5 Cannot wait. Hope you all are able to get onboard with little difficulty.
  18. I really do like the US covers...as far as American fantasy covers go, they're some of the best. But I do appreciate the simple beauty of the UK covers. If I had a preference...UK. I love Allomancy...it was shocking just how involved and clever that system was. I was not expecting that when I first cracked open Mistborn. I do a lot of musical theatre, Shakespeare, and the occasional straight play. I'm starting to audition for small films and voice over stuff due to the COVID stuff...it's just easier to distance yourself in a filming situation. It's been different, but fun! That's great! Keep doing it, and enjoy it...I'm glad you're able to still perform and create art. It's been weird doing Zoom rehearsals haha. Not a fan of that, but we do what we can! We just finished filming our show, and the amount of dancing in this thing has been wild. I am incredibly sore and wiped out. Filming made it all the more intense...I think we did about 8-10 takes on each dance?
  19. I want to say it was 83% Bondsmith. I know my two runners up were Windrunner and Edgedancer...in that order. I have not read Warbreaker yet! I'm finishing a Stormlight reread before Rhythm of War comes out haha. I'm excited to read it, though. We just finished A Chorus Line! I play Al DeLuca. Great to meet another thespian! Have you been able to do much with the Covid situation?
  20. Discovered Brandon pretty much when he was announced to be finishing the Wheel of Time...I was about 3 books in to that series, and I was caught up on WoT by the time Gathering Storm came out. I finished Wheel of Time and then decided to dabble in Brandon's works. Bought the Final Empire and then about 3 days into it I bought everything else I could find that he had written that was attached to the Cosmere. This was in late 2013, I was in the Navy, and in my down time I liked to read after a long day of work. I savored everything, and was so into the worlds, the magic systems, and especially the characters. The subtle interconnected story between all of these seemingly individual series.
  21. Hey there, everyone, Been lurking on this forum for a while and decided to finally get involved with it! I started reading Sanderson after I finished the Wheel of Time and jumped right into Mistborn after finishing Robert Jordan's mighty epic. Once I finished the original trilogy, I read Elantris real quick, then got into the Stormlight Archive, which is quite honestly, my favorite of Brandon's works. I am soooo ready for Book 4! I have not had the chance to read beyond the Cosmere yet, my favorite character is absolutely Dalinar Kholin, followed closely by Hoid. According to the Knights Radiant quiz, I am a Bondsmith, which is my favorite Order, so that was a pleasant surprise Some other stuff about me...I am prior military (Navy), and I am looking at Grad schools to pursue my goals of teaching history. I am also an actor, which is quite difficult in the present circumstances of the word, but I just finished a stage production that we turned into a socially distant film project. I'm a man of many hats! Anyway, I hope you're all doing well! If you have any questions or suggestions, I'm happy to listen and answer! Cheers!
