I played AYSO for a while, but then I stopped when I was like 10ish? I still enjoy watching soccer, though.

Queen looks around, waiting to see if someone else is going to answer Norie's question. When no one does, she mentally sighs, but answers, "A villainous murderer ate one of our friends, so we tried to summon him with strong emotions, but he kidnapped another one of our friends, 2 more of our friends followed him, then one of them, Fadran, returned. So, I think we're trying to find a way to convince the villain guy, Winter, to become a protagonist with the rest of us and release our friends."

"Well, that depends. How much are you willing to trust someone who has to be paid in order to be a contact or informant?"

Penny purses her lips. If I agree, I get to read all of these books, she thought, considering the offer. But, I wouldn't be able to do anything else... She mentally shrugs. Not that I normally do anything else. "Sounds good to me!" Penelope's face breaks into a wide grin as she extends her hand. "I'd like to check out Arcanum Unbounded, if you have it."

Queen smiles at the dragon-girl. "Welcome to our crazy cul- uh, er, group."

"We were unable to do what they would have paid us to do. I agree that if it took away time from other cases that we would want to be paid, but..." She glances around. "Business isn't exactly booming, is it? If we start getting multiple cases at once, I'll charge even for failed cases. For now, though...being able to do something is payment enough. We'll get paid plenty, I promise."

When, if your dad comes up behind you and lightly places a drill on your back and slowly spins it, you freak out because you think he's putting a screw (aka a hemalurgic spike) in your back.

Magnolia nods slowly, pondering the case. "A possibility, for certain. As well as other forms of mental illnesses." She finally takes in his last sentence, speaking louder so that Mike and Freya can hear.. "Oh, we charge after the case is closed. If we can't solve it, they shouldn't have to pay. We also charge based on the case, the customer... many different factors. So, the price isn't decided until after we solve the case." Magnolia gives Freya a confused look paired with a curt nod.

@Matrim's Dice, you did really well!! Good luck next tournament; I most likely won't participate, so I can cheer you on from the side!! @Sorana, may the best roast win.

DQ is still very suspicious of Xaoth and his dramatic entrance. She was supposed to be the theatrical on, for Comedy's sake!

"Lay back down." Queen says, gently pushing his shoulder back. "You'll be fine, but for now, just lay down." She discreetly wipes the tears away. When she turns back, she is dry-eyed. "You said Fox is...gone? He devoured her?"

"You can do me, though I have no idea how I'd have gotten one...I say do this guy." DQ holds Xaoth out for Tria to scan.

I'm really sad that Lightweavers stays the same... I wanted a cool, funny other name.

The tears that had been threatening to spill from Queen's eyes finally did.

DQ nods, releasing Spark, then running to Xaoth, grabbing him and holding the knife to his throat now. "Ok, your turn."

"Sorry! I don't take orders, but I can greet you!"

"Don't move. Just tell us everything. I think your physical status can wait for the mental. What happened in Winter's mind? Where are Fox and Nath?"

Still holding the knife to his throat suspiciously, DQ found the drive. "There's no evidence of what this contains. Anything else?" She lightened the pressure on his neck to enable him to speak more freely. DQ looks around in shock. "Who the crap are you? Get over here so I can hold my other knife to your throat."

Queen examined Fadran's collapsed form. Her medical skills told her that he was perfectly healthy, it was probably a similar reaction to hers after she enhanced someone. "He'll be okay when he wakes up."

"If you're going, I think we all know that I'm coming with." Oh. I think we're going to stay here, since we don't know for sure if Vale's powers will work, and if they don't, we'd all rather not face those consequences.

"Fadran didn't think...hold on." Fadran? Does this still work when you're in someone else's mind? Vale really thinks he can bring us. Should we come? What's going on?

"You'll make it." She states, her steely glare blocking any argument. "So, goodbyes are unnecessary. Especially if Vale is able to take us all."
