Long Game 69: The Politics of the Passions
Illwei replied to Zillah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@The Young Pyromancer Passion: I'd pick Survival and redirect actions to a top suspicion Survival: I'd redirect actions to my top suspicion Sabotage: Target my top suspect Coercion: I'd probably make someone I don't completely trust pick from table 1, as I don't want to potentially give an elim an extra kill or roleblock, or votes, and I don't want to change the strategy of someone if I trust them. Or maybe I'd give an Elim Table 2, because most likely they'd get a PM, and I mean, that seems to be the least impactful thing. possibly. I don't know. I'm not being very helpful. Violence: I'd probably use it on my top suspect. If you're willing to keep a vote on someone during the day, then I mean...Idk...I don't know, I'm not helpful. Unrelatedly, @Elkanah ? -

Hence why I think this should be a specific person's job to post. They can be responsible for keeping track of the votes and making sure they don't count votes that are too late. Idk there's always the idea that people can use their brains :P. -

I mean, uh...Shouldn't you just...trust? yourself? I mean...are you trying to get a consensus from the village on your action? if you weren't sure that you wanted something why would you pick from T3 in the first place? Use your action on who you think you should use it on? -

No. not on length requirements. What seems reasonable? 24 Hours? 48 hours? We want it to try and be faster than TLR kinda... EDIT: People using their brains? what is that? :P. -

Basically I was thinking that instead of the seconder posting in the PM, there would be someone who's job it is to post. the reason is because if the seconder posts right when they choose to second, then it might cut off a vote midway and the people have to work around it. My Idea was you'd have the big post at the Front, containing: - A list of PM rules, spoilered. (for accessability, looking through the main rules is tedious every time if you need to find something) - The queue of pending seconded proposals Then you'd have, after a vote has been decided, a new post by the person 'running' the senate?, containing: - The seconded proposal, in full - Who proposed, and who seconded - (a current vote count/Updated vote count after the fact?) and then there would be the Houses' posts, which would be Yea or Nay (colored for clarification), and nothing else in between. Then afterwards the person would post in the thread with the results and who was on either side. -

I apologize for bringing it up, and I also have an idea why they might not have spoken in it last turn. if they see this then hopefully all will be cleared up. EDIT: I also just had a third idea that I can't say that might explain something else, but I guess if I die then I can write it down in the Spec doc EDIT EDIT: that was completely useless of me to say. wow. okay, and I also don't know why I wrote "third" idea. anyways- -

Oh Okay, yeah. I was also thinking that, I just thought you meant I was also doing it. Then maybe the reason that they are hesitant to talk in it is because they are not the one who created it. If they were, then- then idk that's a big coinky dink -

Ah. yes, lotus and I are indeed Elims together, and we have a third remaining partner, so we organized this to throw you off :P. It seems to have not worked. what a shame. I mean 15 people started the game, and...uh...25%of 15 is...uh... 3 and some? 3 would be a fifth... 5 would be a third...So I guess 4 maybe? does having align scans and Extra kills change the distribution at all? like maybe 4 or 5 elims because of alignment scans, or 3 or 4 elims because of the extra kill? so Would three more elims actually be realistic? because thats kinda a scary thought. Is me thinking about this completely pointless? Probably. anyways- also Matrim, has there been 0 talk whatsoever in your existing PM? or did they text you first and say they set it up? -

I- I think maybe 1 or two is realistic...not- er, not three... -

Hmmmm, well, just, I taste nothing reading your posts. I hear things reading other people's posts, just not yours. or most of Mint's. -

Note to self: Pyro has been dabbling in the Illegals. Coercion user N1? Hmm... Hmm Ash has executed one of my suspicious activities Last cycle: He prompted people to put in actions an hour before rollover. Being "helpful" ? Rn I think My biggest Elim read is Mint - ignoring any votes that Experience placed last cycle - The paranoid part of me has some thoughts but they're just- yeah. anyways-. I feel like I still have a basically completely Null read on Kyne, Ash, and Pyro, which makes me want to think that's suspicious. I guess I have a gut village on Pyro, but that's just because he feels different in this game, and I thought he was Elim in my other games. ...though he never was. Idk. I believe Matrim is Village, even if reading his posts feels like eating raw tofu to me. -

Okay? I'm - I never said I found matrim suspicious, and I'm not about to put myself out as the next lynch target if that's what you're implying? :P. -

Good point. uh tbh my next suspicion was you, But if Experience is an Elim Idk what it means with them trying to start a lynch train on you before? I'll have to look through things again. -
Maybe I'm in the Minority, but when I got my wisdom teeth out I felt completely normal :P. Um...I guess I'll call myself Alex? I wasn't going to give a name but I don't like seeing "No Name Given" in the player list :P.

Oh...Okay? I mean I'm not mad :P, just...con...fused? :P. I mean, It makes sense to me, because besides the occasional comment Silber is pretty inactive. For the same reasons I wouldn't Kill Ash, Lotus, or Kyne this game. Also yeah, I agree that I don't see him claiming an alignment scan as an Elim lol. It still makes me uncomfortable that the top of your list isn't your most trusted :P. And I mean if (when?) the Experience is shown to be Elim, Matrim- I mean, I don't see why an elim would help/lead a lynch on two Elims in a row. so- yeah.-Pretty solid village. unless it's a stunt that would only rival Araris' in the last game. not bussing just one, but two fellow elims in a row :P. but yeah. If that is true...then...I mean if there are only three elims then Idk how that would even work. anyways- enough absolutely meaningless speculation. -

I think I was a teeny tad bit confused about you putting yourself there until I realized you meant like, an average of everyone's reads, not your reads specifically. Also your tiers being upside down to me is throwing me off a bit, but ok :P. Also could you link Tj's stuff? EDIT: Who gave me an upvote for this??? -

why did I immediately think of the kissing booth I was thinking "Imperial Nomic: The Senate" but writing that out it sounds like a weird...something. Video game? like Imperial Nomic is a series with multiple games. -

I went back to see if I was right about something and I wasn't. For some reason I thought he posted his reads identifying Vapor as the best lynch, and then posted his post about none of those being good lynch targets. I do see it as a hasty defense, and then a hasty cover-up though. then follow that with the weird way he said he used survival. so-idk. My only problem is that because I've never played with him before, all I can do is compare him to how I would do things, which- uh, isn't exactly the best way to do things. :P. I guess he is the best suspicion I have so far, so ...Experience? I honestly feel like my vote isn't important right now because there's already 4 people on him, and I mean, idk. :P. I just need to not second guess myself. I really hate voting because I hate it being my fault when a villager dies Uh, did anyone learn the order of actions? Because...would RBs bounce off of survival or would they prevent the use of Survival? -

It would be a Group...er...personal message? -oh shoot my zucchini is burning one sec- okay- The little mail icon thing? in the top right corner of the page? It's would be a groupchat kind of thing for all the houses to place their votes on current seconded proposals so that it can be a tad bit more organized. -

Welcome House Aot. I second this - er It would go to Senate, but no one seems to be voting. @The_Truthwatcher @Negative_Null @Doomstick @Chinkoln @Danex @Kings_way @Furamirionind @Matrim's Dice @Channelknight Fadran @Mist @SirWolfe I'd like the Houses' opinion on how they think senate should run. Would everyone be okay with me creating a PM for senate votes (it was passed by LR, but there was not House discussion on it saying if they'd be okay) to be recorded in, or should there be a (soft) rule that once something is seconded, all discussion stops until the rule is decided upon? Also I think there should be a rule in the senate that maybe after it is discussed, the sides supporting it argue their case for it before the final vote? these aren't proposals, just ideas. Feel free to steal them for proposals if you have similar ideas or they inspire you. -

I feel the same. I- okay I am suspicious of Experience, especially after looking over things again, but I am kinda worried about how fast this seemed to pick up? I mean, I think we were talking about it before/during the night so maybe it's not all that weird, but just- I guess- Yeah. okay. idk. I might end up voting on experience, but I'll wait a bit, like Lotus said. -

OR and hear me out- OR because they're actually an Elim and...I- I don't know where I was going with this. anyways- yeah. okay. no, that makes sense. I guess I would have killed TJ too. that brings me to something i forgot that I was going to post before: I am now adding a fourth thing to my suspicious activities list, way at the bottom, and that is: Saying "I might die soon", "I think I might be the next elim target", etc. Personally if I was an elim I wouldn't kill anyone who said that. Therefore I see it as an easy way for Elims who are blending in to hide the fact that they haven't been nk'd yet. yeah. as my list gets longer the reasons get shakier -

Targeting TJ...with...what? Me? why would you think- ohhh. I told you, I was asking for a friend. definitely not me. but also- noted. I mean- If someone scanned you then they could have cleared you if you're vil? and as you're the top suspect it seems rn I don't exactly think the Elims would kill you... Did anyone get research *flashbacks to LG68* this turn? Also the Elims killed TJ, but not Sart?
