    Two things today: One, I'm not learning Mando'a from listening to Vode An and Dha Wherda Verda over and over again (eh, I know how to say glory and eternal glory, but that's it), but it's making me want to. And two, House of Memories has no right being such a good song to write fight scenes to, but it is. I have an entire list of good music for that, and I just listen to this one over and over again.

    For me, at least, just seeing him healing and learning more about him made me cheer for him. There's some personal reasons involved as well, in a way.

    I finished Day Zero! It was better than I expected. I'm usually rather skeptical of YA dystopias (oh, the hypocrisy...), but it was quite enjoyable.

    I believe a sky burial is when you simply leave the body for the elements and animals to dispose of.

    I think this is one of my favorite streams so far, it's a lot of fun to just listen to two people talk about movies and storytelling.

    I'm running an experiment of sorts - in school we were talking about how video game music is supposed to help you focus, so it's great to have on in the background while you're studying. So I've been listening to the Halo 3 ODST soundtrack despite having never played Halo or any other video game, and it actually does help. It's interesting.

    I'm going to read Catch-22 for school! I'm excited, I got to pick it myself. Since I'm going to be taking a ton of notes and such on that, and therefore reading pretty slowly, I'm also planning to pick up Day Zero, which looks rather interesting.

    Martin misses both of the guards at the door, muttering under his breath.

    They did a Silmarillion album, Nightfall on Middle Earth as well. I've only listened to a few songs from it, but it was good.

    "Got it!" He runs forward to get a better range and fires at the guards in front of the doors.

    "Ayia, where are we going?" Martin shouts before firing again. That one misses. Ten bullets.

    Martin stops at the gate, ducking behind a fallen timber, pulling out his gun. He leans around to shoot at one of the archers. He's unarmored, this needs to be taken care of, he thinks as he fires.

    Martin runs towards the now open gate.

    "At the gate," Martin says. "We've got to get it open."

    "I'll cover you," Martin adds.

    "Yeah. I could cover her from here if she goes to the gate." Now is not the time to have a discussion about Camille's slightly concerning destructive tendencies, he decides.

    "What now, boss?" Martin asks. He has his pistol out. Twelve bullets. He'll need to get up close pretty quick.

    "Going now!" This part is the worst. He edges around to the left side of the tank and sprints towards the trench, hoping he doesn't turn an ankle. He feels completely exposed and he very much dislikes it. He skids to a halt, not really controlling his fall into the trench and scrambling to a crouch, putting his back to a decently sized piece of stone.

    "Please stop doing that," Martin mutters, then hauls himself out of the tank and gets around to the side the archers can't reach. He looks around. Archers, a castle wall. A lot of towers. Okay. There's a trenchline of rocks and piled dirt that remind him of the old ballistae in Serbia. Not the best cover, but better than nothing. "There's a ditch with a wall about twelve meters ahead!" He calls back to the tank. "That's about it!"

    "Got it." Martin looks at the hatch. "I'm ready when you are. Have someone behind me, but stay inside." He pops the hatch and glances around.
