  2. I am Fourth of the Dark, killed by Patji too soon. I have failed, and so I enter the Long Dark. Care for them. I yet live, to my surprise. I make terrible decisions when I am sleep-deprived at midnight. Never again shall I stay up for a meeting's end. If I had simply gone to sleep, perhaps we would have won. Then again, I did not predict a Bone-Person team, so we probably would have lost, though since the kill was on Mint, maybe Midnight and I could have ensured Person's lynch. Congratulations. Thou art incredibly worthy.
  3. Bone (Ash) Midnight (Windrunner). You are willing to kill everyone here but yourself.
  4. I would be willing to vote for Person, if only to prevent a three-way tie. I ask that you vote for Person, and I will vote at the last minute.
  5. One day, I will be an elim. One day, I will survive when I claim elim (which I did in another game, so huzzah!). Also @Elkanah, do you really think I'm a good player? I don't, personally. I have no faith in my abilities and think that my indecisiveness will be my downfall. The elims have won, congratulations. The monk had victory snatched from its talons, commiserations. I remain, as always, terrible at analysis and disappointed in the capabilities of those better than me. Salutations, farewell.
  6. If we get this wrong, we die. I don't think Midnight is a traitor, I don't think Person is a traitor. All that remains is Bone (Ashbringer). I fear I am wrong. I fear many things, death included. You are welcome to scream to the heavens about your innocence, but you must overcome my suspicions. Do your best, @Ashbringer
  7. I thank you for your honesty, my fellow trappers. I myself have an Aviar Spy, which I have used very sparingly due to my Novice experience. However, I do know that my bird saw that Bone has a Hidden Aviar. Perhaps they actually have a Good-Looking Aviar, and my bird saw wrong as it tends to do. I was hoping to catch Bone in a lie. No one has spoken to me in private, sadly. I think that we must consolidate our opinions. Midnight was mildly cleared for being a lynch candidate with Cloud, but other than that, there was nothing. However, if Midnight was an elim, surely they would want the Aviar Spy to survive if they genuinely do have nothing, so I think I should release them from the pool of suspicion. I mildly trust Person for their lynch of Elkanah, but that might be a bus to gain trust. I have been reading Bone as null for this entire meeting. I shall return with analysis of everyone later, but for now, I would be supportive of a Midnight or Bone lynch, with preference towards Bone. Rereading the minutes, Person asked about experience levels, which is a question that could be answered by a traitor team, so I would not particularly like to lynch them. Yes, I misremembered. My apologies.
  8. Alas, I am prone to sympathising with the workload of others. I shall rectify this in the future by slaughtering all sleeping people mercilessly. In addition, I have been suspicious of Light for a long time. However, while you're here, I would like you to tell me everything I wouldn't know. Your Aviar, your night actions, your experience, your private conversations, everything. @Ashbringer, @CadCom, regale me with your information.
  9. Information has not been especially forthcoming. I must ask @Ashbringer and @CadCom to tell me everything they know so I will not lynch them. Your Aviar, actions, experience level, private conversations, any knowledge at all that I would not be privy to. In addition, this same offer extends to @The Windrunner Supreme, though I trust them slightly more than the rest of these people. Everything you know that I wouldn't. In exchange for forthrightness, I will be forthright as well. Your honesty can save your life. Your secrecy may lose it. I only hope you make the right decision.
  10. Person did indeed move their vote to Mint as can be found in the minutes. Mint has only spoken a few times, and those seem entirely non-alignment indicative. Twilight voted for Midnight. Interestingly enough, Person and Twilight seem to be associated. They both voted Midnight earlier, and Person was willing to Contribution Crusade Mint specifically, not Twilight. I could see a Person/Twilight team, but I could also see Bone with any of the inactives. If there are two traitors, one active, and we mislynch an active player, we lose. I would like @Ashbringer and @CadCom to make their cases. Prove your innocence. Claim your Aviar, if you wish. Recount private conversations. Anything to help your case. Prove you aren't a killer.
  11. @Experience, oh great Patji, how long may a trapper lie sleeping before you strike them down for their arrogance? In addition, does sneaking about in the night appease your wrath? [Basically, what is the inactivity filter, and does submitting actions avert this filter?] It seems that my tunnelling problem has led me astray. Unless an "inactive" traitor has been killing in the night (hence my question to Patji), at least one of us active individuals must be a traitor. I mildly trust Midnight and Person at this time, but Bone has not done anything to particularly distinguish themself. I I understand that they have been busy, but given that I trust the rest of our number, a lack of trust is as damning as active suspicion. I would be amenable to lynching an inactive, but six people remain alive, two of which are inactive. There are 1 or 2 traitors remaining. We are at 4/2 or 5/1. The traitor kills every night. Scenario 1aa: We lynch an inactive, who turns out to be a trapper. The traitors kill, 2/2, it will come down to random chance with interference from an active traitor. Scenario 1ab: We lynch an inactive who turns out to be a trapper. The traitors kill, 3/1, one mislynch away from random chance with interference from an active traitor. Scenario 1ba: We lynch an inactive, who turns out to be a traitor. The traitors kill, 3/1, one mislynch away from random chance with interference from an active traitor. Scenario 1bb: We lynch an inactive, who turns out to be a traitor. The traitors kill, 2/0, we win. Scenario 2aa: We lynch an active person, who turns out to be a trapper. The traitors kill, 2/2, it will come down to random chance. Scenario 2ab: We lynch an active person, who turns out to be a trapper. The traitors kill, 3/1, one mislynch away from random chance. Scenario 2ba: We lynch an active person, who turns out to be a traitor. The traitors kill, 3/1, no more active traitor to interfere in our lynch, no more traitor kill. Scenario 2bb: We lynch an active person, who turns out to be a traitor. The traitors kill, 2/0, we win. If we lynch Bone, it will be slightly better than lynching a sleeping person because we could possibly prevent the traitor kill, depending on how active the inactive elims are. However, I would not be especially opposed to lynching an inactive. What is the general populace's thoughts on this?
  12. I wrote this up many hours ago but forgot to share it amongst my peers. My apologies. Of the awake trappers, I still remain uncertain about Bone and Person. To aid in this endeavor, I shall analyse all of their posts. Person: Conclusion: Person is probably not a traitor due to their heading up of the lynch on Elkanah. However, it could be an elaborate bus attempt to gain trust, though that is lessened by their vote on Midnight afterwards, which possibly ruins all of their credibility. If they had instead voted for Cloud, they could have cemented their place as a trusted trapper. Bone: Conclusion: There's not much here. Given that there is probably an inactive traitor, their willingness to kill inactives is nice, though since that was from the beginning, that is not particularly telling. In addition, they expressed suspicion of Midnight and voted on them. They could be a traitor, but I would prioritise killing Light and the inactives over them.
  13. I do not understand why Light thinks the release of the nightmaw implies a sleeping traitor. If anything, it would imply the opposite. A traitor under suspicion would want to get the general populace to waste days killing useless people. I released Light from my suspicions, but I am reconsidering that. I trust Philico and mildly accept Midnight, but I have no particular read on anyone else. I shall vote Light (Straw) and if there is no murder in the night, we can begin to slaughter the sleeping people. Person is an individual of note as well, but to a lesser degree. When I have access to modern technology, I shall analyse their statements.
  14. For some inexplicable reason, I suspect Light. To aid in my analysis, I have decided to investigate each and every one of their statements. Conclusion: My suspicion of Light was ill-founded and quite possibly wrong, though the errant thought of Philico-Elkanah-Light team does cross my mind. Out of the two candidates, I do not think Midnight's traitor allies would have allowed them to declare utter certainty in an outcome when they know it will be wrong, so I shall vote Cloud (turtle)
  15. Everyone had to love North Carolina on pain of death.
  16. It seems I was wrong about Elkanah. What a shame. Note that the kill occurs first in the night, so Elkanah's lynch does not preclude them slaughtering people. This indicates that the traitors simply did not submit an action. Alternatively, someone with a Hidden could have been attacked by the nightmaw. @Experience, will there be evidence of a survived nightmaw attack? [I'm asking if it would be put in the write-up, but I don't know how to phrase that properly given that my character wouldn't know about any "write-up"] If the traitors simply forgot to kill, perhaps we should viciously and violently attack those who sleep day and night. While I do understand this attack on my person, I would still prefer some elaboration from Winthrop. There were 2 lynch options, Philico and Elkanah. Elk claimed occupation with important tasks, and I was willing to let that slide. I had been suspicious of Philico for many days now, though I will relinquish that for the moment (though my paranoia whispers to me that this could be an elaborate attempt gain trust on Philico's part). I must re-evaluate my suspicion of Light as well. The following is an analysis of Elkanah's statements. Conclusion: Philico and Light are probably not the same alignment. I do think Philico is a trapper now, however, something confuses me. Scenario: Philico is a trapper, Light is a traitor. Try to get mislynch on Philico to "prove" Light's innocence. If so, why didn't take advantage of strangest hammer ever? Winthrop and Bone could be anything because my idiotic PARANOIA won't stop trying to kill the last remnants of my rationality. I thought you became friends! What happened? Poison is so uncouth anyways. Just do weapons at dawn and be done with it! Alas, Philico has managed to speak before me. I think the accusations against me are entirely justified, though I do think that I have been entirely consistent over the course of this meeting. I view Philico as a trapper, with a tentative paranoid thought towards alternate scenarios.
  17. A countdown to the most important book yet to exist, battles of basting, and cookies. 10/10.
  18. First of the Person has been obliging enough to inform the general populace of the vote count. I thank you, Person. Given the information provided, I think I shall retract Winthrop (Illwei) and instead reiterate my suspicions of Philico (Matrim). I think Elkanah should be granted their stay of execution, since we can always kill them later, and I don't think a Winthrop lynch will be successful, as no one has joined me. Philico has remained my top suspicion. I only hope my tunnelling tendencies haven't led me astray yet again. @Matrim's Dice, I offer you a chance to make your case one last time.
  19. I do not understand the votes on First of the Bone. They seemed ill-reasoned, especially since Winthrop released Elkanah for being busy, but Bone said they were busy as well. In addition, Winthrop's suspicion of me seems odd, as though they haven't been reading my journal entries to find my reasoning. However, Philico keeps following people to a decision rather than being decisive. @Matrim's Dice, where is your confidence? Where is your instinct? I will release Light for now, but Winthrop and Philico seem strange. As I feel that I might be engaging in confirmation bias, I shall instead retract Philico (Matrim) and vote Winthrop (Illwei). @Illwei, please explain both your vote on Bone despite their declaration of being busy and your suspicion of me. I feel that both have been strangely reasoned, and I would like more from you. I do not suspect you as much as I do Philico, but that might be because I am tunneling, which is a terrible habit of mine that I really must improve upon.
  20. Twisp Winthrop doubts me because of my suspicion of Light. I wish they would elaborate. I found Light suspicious, along with Philico. Philico's last minute transfer annoys me, because unless Light has an important Aviar, there is no reason to save them when it would cast suspicion on the self. I think I am going to let this train of thought go for now, though I will return to it later if no suspicions arise. Why is First of the Bone being lynched in favor of other targets simply for their vote patterns, especially since they declared that they were very busy? I see no reason for this, especially since we could lynch Philico or Light to gain information. I still believe one of them to be a traitor, though less so. Perhaps Philico predicted the populace's reaction to the strangest hammer in the history of hammers. Idea: Philico is a traitor trying to get two mislynches by taking advantage of the general populace's confusion to get Light lynched. If Light is the traitor, traitorous Philico would probably not throw themself off the lynch like that. One of them is an elim. I am nearly certain of this. However, I suspect Philico (Matrim) slightly more now.
  21. Interestingly enough, the lynch is currently tied between my top suspicions. I instinctively distrust First of the Light (Straw). Perhaps it is because their defense of Lord Silberfarben seems to handily done for my tastes. Perhaps it is because Philico seems to be as they always are. I think at least one of Light and Philico is a traitor, and I do not think this is an elaborate bus attempt. If Philico retracts at the last moment, they are probably a traitor as well. I only hope that my instincts have not led me astray.
  22. Down, weigh the altolds, tear hearts, breaking hearts, turtles all the way down.
  23. First of the Light is appearing more and more suspicious in my eyes. The only reason they seem to consider me suspicious is because I considered everyone to be unsuspicious, but earlier today, I brought up my suspicions on the basis of yesterday's outcome, including Light and Philico, as well as the two newer trappers to some extent [Ninth of the Sky and 295864685th of the Midnight, they would be the main suspects if they were experienced, I am reducing that because of their lack of knowledge.] Given that this point against me is effectively nullified, there is no reason for this suspicion. Poor beginner. Share your thoughts, young one. Explain reasoning always, even if there seems to be none. Never declare a vote without purpose. Confidence is irrelevant so long as the reason is explained. Never change your mind simply because people disagree with you. Only do it if you are unquestionably wrong. In addition, do not trust anyone, even the ones who analyse and synthesise wisdom. No one knows better than you except the traitors, who know what everything is. Everyone else languishes with the exact knowledge you do. Trust not their instincts, for they are designed to lead you astray. I can understand the confusion of a poke vote vs a real vote, but do not leap upon the votes of others. Trust yourself, your logic, and your instincts. You know as much as everyone.
  24. The night's events have struck me as odd. I went to sleep before discussion closed and everything changed. Ninth of the Sky and 295864685th of the Midnight voted without explanation. First of the Light and Philico strike me as odd, Philico significantly more than Light, though First of the Bone has been noted. Second of the Dawn fell victim to traps. Despite their relative newness, they had a Spy. That was quite possibly the only one in our midst, so we are at a distinct disadvantage now. In addition, Lord Silberfarben was killed in the night, which is odd considering they were asleep for the past day. Perhaps they thought the general populace was doing a fine job of confusing themselves and wanted to throw more psychedelics into the flames. For some strange reason, I instinctively distrust Light more than Philico, despite the fact that Philico has been more suspicious. I would be amenable to lynching either, though I have no particular preference between the two. Both would offer valuable information. Elkanah's analysis makes me think well of them. There are probably 4 traitors left. This means that we can afford two failures, assuming no further trap deaths. However, there is about a 10-15% chance of a person dying from traps. Assume 15%, 3/20, 1/7. Assuming 2-3 people sneak about every night, a person will die every 2-4 cycles. Not a major issue, but one to be aware of. If we do not catch a traitor within 2 cycles, we will be at risk.
