  1. I expected this outcome. I do not see a good reason for Faleast's death, so perhaps Daziron is correct in the "Denial of Information" theory. Vote history: Turtle pokes Kriti. Daziron pokes Reading. Turtle retracts Kriti Reading pokes Banana Daziron retracts Reading. Somebody pokes Faleast Turtle pokes Reading Illwei votes Lotus Somebody retracts Faleast Banana pokes Lord Silberfarben Somebody votes Illwei for not explaining Turtle retracts Reading Yazadan votes Dark for claiming Diagrammist Banana votes Illwei for not explaining Daziron votes Illwei for not explaining. Illwei votes Turtle for thinking standard behavior is sus. Daziron retracts Illwei for explaining. Daziron votes Experience for "bad gut" and lack of better options.Somebody [cites terrible strategy] Illwei retracts Lotus. Somebody retracts Illwei and votes Experience for their bad strategy. Jesereth votes Somebody for a strange vote. Experience votes Somebody for a strange vote Banana votes Somebody for a strange vote. Jesereth retracts Somebody because they are new. Experience retracts Somebody because they are new. Banana retracts Somebody because they are new and votes Experience. Banana retracts Experience. Willing to vote Illwei. Banana votes Illwei. Dark votes Experience to prevent a tie between two Ghostbloods. Kriti votes Experience because of "their words and changing". @Ghanderflaffle, what did you mean by this? Conclusion: The Somebody votes seem a bit... strange. Jesereth is new, so they could perhaps be excused, but Experience is, as the name implies, experienced. Banana didn't want a tie, so it is possibly excusable. The subsequent retractions are understandable in the context of not wanting to kill a new player, but still, the sequentiality of the votes and retractions seems odd. Too close together. The Experience lynch was founded on not liking the strategy. If I had known that the vote was tied between Illwei and Experience at the time, I would have probably voted for Illwei. However, I was working off of false information, and I believed that would cause a tie right before the vote closed. I do not know why Kriti voted Experience. The votes on Illwei seem founded on their explanation of voting for Lotus, and then they were retracted. I currently note Illwei, Kriti, Jesereth, and Banana. However, three of those are new, so I believe it may just be newbie syndrome.
  2. Option Abacus: oishrgoieadpoewhgoiujncwlkedncboifelgjrf. Option Zedare: nyaturebonachukegaskorinasuheropatren
  3. [OOC: Yes. However, I meant the faction names, not the other faction.] Since I think they are both Ghostbloods, I choose to put Experience further in the lead to prevent a tie and thus deaths of many Ghostbloods. If an adequate suspicion reveals itself in the next few minutes, I would be more than happy to consider a transfer.
  4. [OOC: More players need to have RP names. When I play through RP, using actual names is weird.] The general populace is incredibly talkative. To aid determining people's sides, I shall analyse every statement ever spoken. Sidenote, it is truly surprising exactly how much discussion is fluff and nonsense. In addition, I would like to dispute the value of a poke vote [defined as putting a vote on someone who has not yet spoken and retracting it when they speak]. People say it incentivises discussion, but if someone is truly asleep, they won't speak no matter how many poke votes are laid against them. In addition, it is considered poor form to kill a sleeping person, so a poke vote will never lead to a lynch. All it does is fill up the minutes. X: I poke Y! Y: I exist! X: I retract Y! 3 statements that do nothing. 1 Dark: Skill analysis. I will admit, some of this analysis may be invalid, as I continually assume that everyone thinks as I do. This is a poor habit of mine that I shall attempt to rectify, should I survive this encounter. 2 Turtle: Pokes Kriti. 3 Illwei: Thought the meeting began later. 4 Rinala: Quite busy. 5 Daziron: Pokes Reading. 6 Lotus: May be busy. 7 Kriti: Exists. Newbie. 8 Rinala: Is actually new. 9 Turtle: Retracts Kriti. 10 Reading: Pokes Banana. 11 Daziron: Retracts Reading. 12 Faleast: Busy. Why hide vote? 13 Reading: Seems derivative. 14 Connie: New. Exists 15 Illwei: Newbie poking done by newbie. Make vote easily visible. Confused by time. 16 Reading: Okay. 17 Turtle: It began early. 18 Daziron: Leave the newbies alone. 19 Illwei: Newness is in the eye of the beholder. 20 Glorious Leader: Time is confusing. 21 Connie: Likes conversation. 22 Turtle: Can talk. 23 Connie: Talk. 24 Somebody: Chats. Pokes Faleast 25 Lotus: How to vote. 26 Illwei: How to vote. 27 Turtle: Chats. 28 Reading: Should probably lynch. 29 Somebody: Thanks. 30 Turtle: Pokes Reading (Do they know how poke votes work?) 31 Somebody: How many Diagrammists are there? (For reference, a standard number is between 20-25%.) 32 Lotus: How long is each round of discussion? 33 Somebody: Timer works! 34 Reading: Answers questions. 35 Somebody: Chats. 36 Turtle: Chats 37 Somebody: Chats 38 Connie: Chats 39 Somebody: Chats 40 Connie: Chats 41 Turtle: Chats 42 Somebody: Chats 43 Faleast: Exists. 44 Connie: Chats. 45 Illwei: Votes Lotus without explanation. (I know they do this a lot, but I don't like it very much. Please provide explanations for your votes.) 46 Somebody: Retracts Faleast incorrectly. 47 Banana: Exists. Pokes Lord Silberfarben. 48 Connie: Illwei, explain yourself! 49 Turtle: Chats. Illwei, explain yourself! 50 Somebody: Votes Illwei until explanation provided. 51 Connie: Chats. 52 Turtle: Chats 53 Somebody: Chats 54 Reading: Retracts Banana. 55 Banana: Chats. 56 Connie: Chats 57 Turtle: Chats 58 Connie: Chats 59 Somebody: Chats. 60 Connie: Chats 61 Somebody: Chats. 62 Connie: Chats 63 Turtle: Chats 64 Daziron: Retract votes correctly. Illwei, explain yourself. 65 Somebody: Chats. 66 Somebody: Aqua = green. 67 Connie: Chats. 68 Turtle: Chats 69 Banana: Chats about chatting. 70 Somebody: Chats. 71 Connie: Chats 72 Somebody: Chats. 73 Turtle: Chats. Retracts Reading. 74 Daziron: Obey Glorious Leader 75 Connie: Chats 76 Somebody: Retracts Faleast correctly. 77 Banana: Illwei, explain yourself. 78 Somebody: Illwei, explain yourself 79 Lotus: Illwei explain yourself. 80 Somebody: Illwei, explain yourself or you die. 81 Reading: Double post (that has hence been rectified) 82 Daziron: Mostly just chatting. 83 Somebody: No more double post. 84 Banana: Don't double post. 85 Somebody: Illwei has a vote on them. 86 Daziron: Too early for reasons. 87 Dark: Everyone's an idiot. 88 Yazadan: Criticises analysis. Votes Dark for Diagrammist claim. 89 Reading: Dark is a pathological liar. 90 Daziron: Dark is a pathological liar. 91 Illwei: Vote out lots of people. Bloodshed! 92 Daziron: Too many kills too early is good for the Diagrammists. 93 Connie: Siblings are suspicious (and they aren't even here.) 94 Rinala: Siblings? 95 Illwei: Glorious Leader, if everyone dies, who wins? 96 Connie: Jokes. 97 Glorious Leader: Diagrammists would win. 98 Illwei: But why not the Ghostbloods? 99 Rinala: Family... What a concept. 100 Daziron: Illwei, explain yourself. 101 Illwei: Had family. 102 Rinala: Family = bad. 103 Yazadan: Family? 104 Lotus: Family? 105 Illwei: Family. 106 Rinala: Family 107 Glorious Leader: Ghostbloods lose if they all die. 108 Yazadan: Family. 109 Connie: Family. 110 Banana: Votes Illwei to explain themself. 111 Experience: Exists. 112 Daziron: Votes Illwei to explain themself. 113 Illwei: Votes Turtle for seeing a standard behavior as suspicious. 114 Connie: Confused. 115 Experience: Kill everyone but them (possibly as a joke?) 116 Connie: No. 117 Illwei: Lots of votes. 118 Daziron: Retracts Illwei for explaining. 119 Experience: If everyone dies but a known Ghostblood, they will win! 120 Connie: Didn't vote Illwei. 121 Illwei: Confusion. 122 Connie: Explains. 123 Experience: How to confirm village... 124 Illwei: Jokingly suggests things. Awful idea. 125 Connie: Scanner? 126 Experience: Maybe kill half? 127 Glorious Leader: Go ahead and slaughter each other. Bloodshed! 128 Experience: Disaster is fun. 129 Illwei: No. Bad. Stop. 130 Experience: Aim for the sun! 131 Rinala: But Diagrammists have to go along with it. 132 Illwei: No. Bad. Stop. Experience = vil for being so stupid. 133 Connie: No. Bad. Stop. 134 Illwei; No. Bad. Stop. Actually, sure. Go. KILL! 135 Experience: Would be amazing. KILL! 136 Connie: Getting help from spies. 137 Illwei: Connie, don't depend on them. 138 Connie: Okay. 139 Experience: Connie = strange. 140 Connie: Quite true. 141 Illwei: Do what you want. 142 Connie: Okay. 143 Dark: Everyone's an idiot. 144 Turtle: Reasoning. Must go. 145 Faleast: Everyone's an idiot. 146 Daziron: So many contradictions. 147 Experience; Also Convincing Diagrammists. 148 Illwei: You're ruining my strategy. 149 Daziron: Must depart. Vote count? 150 Jesereth: Exists. 151 Yazadan: Speculation. 152 Rinala: Quotations? 153 Daziron: Votes Experience. 154 Experience. Okay. 155 Illwei: Retracts Lotus, 156 Somebody: Retracts Illwei and votes Experience. 157 Jesereth: Reads. Votes Somebody. 158 Experience: Confusion. Votes Somebody. 159 Banana; Votes Somebody. 160 Experience: Trains. 161 Banana: Yes. 162 Jesereth: Departing for sweet slumber. 163 Reading: Somebody is new. 164 Jesereth: Retracts Somebody. 165 Experience: Retracts Somebody. 166 Banana: Retracts Somebody and votes Experience. 167 Experience: Doesn't want to die. 168 Banana: Doesn't want double lynch. 169 Reading: Illwei changes mind too much. 170 Banana: Retracts Experience and is willing to vote Illwei. 171 Daziron: The Somebody vote train is strange. 172 Reading: Illwei flips. 173 Daziron: Illwei is very hesitant. 174 Reading: Seems strange. 175 Vilt: Votes Alvron for thinking roles == alignment. 176 Banana: Votes Illwei. 177 Reading: Mishears Vilt. 178 Vilt: Informs. 179 Reading: Acknowledges. 180 Glorious Leader: Vote count. 181 Daziron: Very spread out. Death? No. Conclusion: I would hope Experience and Illwei would be better Diagrammists than this, but as of now, their bloodthirst and Illwei's constant hesitation ping alarm bells. The train on and subsequently off of Somebody is also alarming. I am tempted to vote Illwei just to kill both of them, but for now, I will vote Experience, because I suspect both of them are Ghostbloods.

  6. With each passing conversation, I become more convinced that my fellow recruits are fools. They wish for a culling of the population in an easily exploitable stratagem that only succeeds if both the Ghostbloods and the Diagrammists are willing to commit suicide. It only takes a single vote to ruin the plan completely, and none of us are the type to let ourselves die if we can stop it. If this is to work, we must have everyone agree to die. A better method would be to choose a minority to die, have everyone vote on them to a degree that the vote cannot be challenged [perhaps 3 or 4 votes apiece?], and lynch anyone who does not comply. Authoritarianism is the only way we could possibly regulate this.
  7. The recruits are throwing votes around like roasted beetles. The fools. Do they not realise that a tie gets everyone killed? If we are to kill, we must do so with intent, or we'll lose a great deal of our number without gaining any information. The Diagrammists merely have to hurl a poke vote on someone to kill them and excuse it away as a first hour vote. Our situation is foolish and must be rectified. Find a reason, kill one person for that reason, and don't get everyone killed.
  8. [Please note that since I am playing as Fourth of the Dark, all posts will be stylized as a journal entry in Dark’s trapper journal.] This planet is very strange. Gravity is much lower than on First of the Sun, and there is too much oxygen in the air to start fires, as I learned on my first night here. Everyone seems to have specialties here, with some being extraordinarily strong or stealthy or clever. General: Please keep in mind that the wrath of the mob will slaughter all members of a tie. To prevent us Diagrammists from taking advantage of this, you must make sure that there is no potential for a tie. Alternatively, you could use the tie to kill all of your suspicions in one fell swoop. In addition, many of these skills are one use only, because you are all inexperienced plebs. Hoard your abilities wisely. Don’t tell anyone your skill. It is far too risky. For one-use skills, feel free to claim after the fact, since it doesn't matter if you are killed afterwards. Tough: Some people possess extraordinary physical prowess, capable of fighting off mobs to protect someone. However, this is exhausting, so it can only be used once. Useful if one believes that an individual is at risk for being killed. Interestingly, one could use this to stop the mob justice of the day, knowing full well who would be killed. The limited use of this ability makes it difficult to protect a necessary individual from the Diagrammists for a prolonged period of time, so perhaps the general populace should adopt a policy of transparency and information deposition so that the death of an individual will not lose us information. Sneaky: So long as one of these stealthy individuals lives, private conversations remain possible. I ask that any and all sneaky people prioritise staying alive, as private conversations are helpful. Insightful: You can learn people’s skills. Good to ensure we do not slaughter a sneaky individual. In addition, this allows us to remain informed as to the general state of things. I ask that you go public with any information you have acquired, though I would recommend informing the general populace via a mouthpiece and private communications. The more we know, the better. However, if you believe that informing the general populace of a specific individual’s skill would be dangerous, you are welcome to abstain. Convincing: You lie well enough that you can make your voice seem more important. This only works once, since repeat lies are easy to see through. Use only when you think it might matter. Make a tie, break a tie, that sort of thing. Lethal: You are a trained assassin with only one dose of poison. You really underprepared, didn’t you? Save this until you are certain of your suspicions. Connected: You know someone here. You can ask them what they really are, and they will tell you the truth. Save this for uncertainty, for confusion, for a moment of crucial necessity. Feel free to tell everyone what you saw after the fact, since you are useless post-scan. However, this is a way for us Diagrammists to lie or gain trust. Recommended: You are worthless.

  17. Tragedy is difficult to write well. It takes great care, an eye for detail, and an intimate knowledge of emotions, along with a great deal of other things that I cannot think of in my current state of despair. You successfully turned Dalinar's greatest triumph into his greatest failure, and masterfully wrote all the consequences that entails. Your prose is something that can only be described as a masterpiece. Great art requires hatred, and I hate this as much as I love it for all the pain and sorrow this brought me. The epilogue was, of all things, the worst part. The most terrible thing about tragedy is that it ends, because when it's over, there's no way for anything to be okay. There's no light, no joy, no hope, only mourning for the end of all things. No pain, no anguish, no sorrow, no pleasure, no happiness, no Passion. When things end, all that is left is emptiness. Congratulations. There is nothing left.
  18. Internet: You're connected to everyone and everything, but everyone is fake and you're wasting your life away and you're everything that's wrong with the youths of today.

  23. If Elkanah is an elim, it is very likely that some of the voters on Ventyl are elims. The sudden Ventyl swing is strange, though that post was contradictory and strange. Devotary typically votes last minute, eltruT seems to have a tendency to follow votes, Illwei started the Ventyl vote, and TJ agreed with it. If any of these people are elims, I would suspect eltruT and TJ, though since eltruT is new, I'm inclined to think better of them. If Illwei was an elim, they could have started a train onto someone with votes on them already. TJ just followed Illwei's reasoning. @Elkanah, I would like to see evidence that you are working on a spreadsheet. A screenshot, perhaps, or a list of conclusions. Mentioning a non-existent spreadsheet is a good way to look helpful but do nothing. Probably so, though depending on Elkanah's role, they might have taken a greater risk. If Elkanah was, for instance, the only elim Hemalurgist, it would be paramount to avoid their untimely demise.
  24. Words are sounds without meaning, stitched together to make a sort of quilt. Tattered, threadbare, choppy at best, but completely, utterly unique. Aquitera benigared
  25. This will be the last you see of me for a bit. Next debate round is starting very soon. An analysis of every vote cast last cycle. If I missed one, please let me know, as I am mildly colourblind. Elkanah pokes Windrunner Supreme Vapor pokes Mist eltruT pokes Mist [despite Mist already speaking and being somewhat helpful] Mist votes eltruT for poking them despite their discussion Vapor retracts Mist. eltruT retracts Mist, citing that they have no idea what to do as a non-elim. Condensation pokes Danex. Condensation retracts Danex. Illwei votes Gears for not claiming elim [In actuality, I did and they didn't notice. I'm trying a discreet claim in hopes that it gets me killed less.] Illwei retracts Gears and votes Mist without reasoning. eltruT votes Mist because they think Mist might be the HI. Ventyl pokes Devotary Araris votes Illwei for voting Gears. eltruT retracts Mist because they realised lynching the HI is a suboptimal play. TJ votes Mist for stating the obvious. Whysper votes Elkanah for caring about their image. Elkanah retracts Windrunner Supreme. Amanuensis votes Elkanah for caring about their image. eltruT votes Mist for a combination of gut and liking the reasoning of those who come before [id est, stating the obvious] Condensation re-retracts Danex, though it was unnecessary. Illwei retracts Mist and votes Elkanah because spreadsheets sound alarms. TJ retracts Mist and votes eltruT for contradicting themself. Araris retracts Illwei and votes Elkanah because they think eltruT's oddities can be explained away with NPS [New Player Syndrome] Windrunner Supreme votes Experience because they haven't posted. Illwei retracts Elkanah for lack of information and votes Mist, still without reasoning. Ventyl votes Elkanah because they want to find the HI. Illwei retracts Mist and votes Ventyl because of Ventyl's contradictory reasoning TJ retracts eltruT and votes Ventyl because of Ventyl's contradictory reasoning. eltruT votes Ventyl because of Ventyl's contradictory reasoning. Devotary votes Ventyl because they are more suspicious than Elkanah. Interestingly, Ventyl lynch discussion only happened on the last page, in the last hour. @eltruT has been very back and forth with their vote on Mist, though since they are new, I would be willing to cut the suspicion in half. @Illwei, what was your reasoning on Mist? @Elkanah, could you share some conclusions from your wondrous spreadsheet that you have obviously been working hard on? Also, what are your thoughts on the votes on you? @Araris Valerian, @Amanuensis, @Whysper, what are your thoughts on Elkanah as of now? [Also, tagging isn't working for me, oddly enough. I've had to copy/paste these tags from the OP.]
