  1. Yeah fair enough. I did think back on my statement. There's no reason for you to role-claim if you're elim Gasper. It takes away the one power that elims would want to keep: anonymity. Thing is, it's not so much as imperfect as it is incomplete. I kind of get what you're trying to tell, but I don't find myself agreeing with it. Maybe as an experienced player you'd know better, and well, Araris also agrees with suspect list without reasoning, but I'm not sure if I can agree with it. "If you feel like you have something important to say that you feel would be helpful, then say it." is how I feel. Having said that, I voted for you before you claimed Gasper. And Pyro is doing a thorough job of convincing me you're village in PM. So, I'm willing to keep an open mind. But at the moment I don't have a better suspect than you, and so my vote stays. Would you mind explaining your suspicions on me and Kynedath?
  2. Yes well, that's what it seems he did. But then what? As I mentioned earlier, if he was elim, he would know that Coda would flip village. Making such a statement would cast a huge suspicion on him when that happened. You say this and then follow it up with a 200+ words SHOUTY-SHOUT post. (a double post no less). Also, 200+ words = suspicious? You seem to be doing the same thing as claimed by you. That seems hardly fair for people posting opinions and analysis. If anything, it makes people posting SHOUTY-SHOUT more suspicious according to your logic. It's not game related, and even if it does seem like RP, it does not allow others to participate. Personally, I think boxing hunting is NAI. Money is an incentive to everyone. I don't see why elims are more likely to hunt for them than villagers. This is a bad idea. It would highly promote mislynches. Players would be encouraged to vote solely to build a train. Lynching for money is a big NO from me. The advantage of equal distribution of boxings is not enough to overcome the prospect of encouraging mislynches. I mean if they were elim, they wouldn't be foolish enough to name some other elims as villagers right? Half of Drake's list is neutral/no read. Might as well hide elims among them. EDIT: But... Gasper would be a brilliant role to give to an elim, right? Seeing as it is alignment-scan blocker.
  3. I like the Pyro-Magestar interaction. Helped move my opinion of his alignment for "utterly confusing" to "slightly less confusing". He is no longer in my main suspect list. This is bizarre. The main point of a villager is to provide information and encourage discussion. You firmly saying you will not paints you in a bad light. "Will be provided on request"? Why? Why not give out the reasons in the open? It will only help the village. That phrase is very concerning Just posting a list of names with no context and no reasoning serves very little to the discussion and only intends to make us confused. You have listed names like me and Magestar who have only contributed to the discussion, made informative posts and backed it up with reasoning. You have mentioned Kynedath who has rarely been active under slight suspicion, but someone who has had activity similar to him like God King is listed as no read. This. Your suspect list. Exactly what I was waiting for. I was hoping for more discussion from your end before making my decision, and it seems like I was right. Your suspect list post has done that. It has given all the suspicion for me to be okay with lynching you. I would own up to that decision eventually, but I wanted to give you time. I've done that, and it has only added to my suspicion. DrakeMarshall
  4. Heyyy, what's wrong with a good back-and-forth? (shhh we seem to be racking up 200+ word posts) Well you gave reasoning for everyone except the personal you are voting on. Why do you think Experience is elim?
  5. So you're saying there was a PM in which you discussed getting That seems fair. But you've got to admit it gets confusing at times, making it very hard to get a read on you. When that happens people (me) usually tend to assume the worst. I know it's not a good habit, but I suppose in a game like this you have to assume the worst right? Okay that's fairly reasonable though we'll have to take your word for it. I'm not barreling ahead and making set assumptions. I'm just thinking of every possible situation. Surely, you can't fault me for that. As you can see, I haven't voted for you (or anyone) yet. I'm only just slightly suspicious of you, more like I'm confused. So I just laid everything on the table to see what fits. It wasn't me building a case against you.
  6. Let's say that I do believe you. Then arises another case in which Pyro and possibly Drake colluded and you were just swept along with them. So it doesn't necessarily tie you and Pyro together. Yeah they did not post at all. Pyro poke-voted them once without giving any context or asking others to vote on them. And then quickly changed their vote. Knew in advance about their night kill? Their post and vote itself is NAI. But the others vote on him (the following exodus) is definitely unusual. Also the fact that he came to vote right at the death. Did someone prod him? There's also the Soothed vote on Hatz that could have been placed when the votes were on Karnage. Leaning slightly elim. Poke-voted Mist and Emi. Made a deep analysis of Coda's statement about the dangers of an elim being Firesoul and took that as a proof of Coda being indeed a Firesoul elim. I do believe they either over-analysed this or deliberately made Coda more suspicious. I'd still wait to see more people discussing before I make my decision but my main suspects are Karnage, Pyro, and Drake.
  7. I don't think Soothing works like this. The target has to be one of the person who has voted for Hatz, not Hatz themselves. The vote gets Soothed. If Hatz was Soothed, his vote on someone else would have disappeared. I'm like ninety-nine% (gotta get that word count, yeah? xD) sure it's like this. Someone back me up on this. Just look at that conversation. It looks too tied up. Too perfect. It looks like you've already had the conversation elsewhere. If Pyro himself is a suspect, why would we believe a single thing he says? If Pyro is elim, he could very well be using you as you rightfully guessed as one of the possible scenarios earlier. Again, why would we believe you? As I said earlier, if you guys are elims (no matter how small the chances, I still have to consider it), then you have the elim doc to discuss and come up with this. Anyway, I truly liked this discussion. Even if your defence wasn't too convincing, it felt honest, and to me that's important. In other news, could anyone hazard a guess as to why the elims chose Devotary, one of the 3 inactive players on D1, as their target? I cannot figure it out. Any inactive player is an uncertainty for the villagers. We'd have to keep guessing their alignment since we have nothing to 'read' from them. Why would they take that away?
  8. Interesting little post I happened to notice from @Experience Seems very non-elim behaviour here. If he was elim, he'd know Coda would flip village and would cast massive suspicion on him when it happens. An elim would not paint a target on their back by making a statement like this. Now, kandra!Experience though, that's a different matter. But I guess it's too early to go that route, yeah? @Elandera and @Araris Valerian, you seem to be doubting them. What do you make of this post? I shall now make some observations based on the players' vote sequence. 1. @The Young Pyromancer - Coda > Ashbringer > Araris > Devotary > Experience > Matrim > Karnage > Hatz Voted for Coda because he was the first to contribute to the game. Doubted Ash for trying to blend in. Told Araris was giving out elim suspects for no reason. Devotary seems to be a poke vote. Voted for Experience just because they had higher post count. Doubted Matrim for his twinborn theory. Vote for Karnage and Hatz are they were inactive. Is voting like this a ploy to confuse us, or is it his usual style? Is it both? Alignment: Storm if I know. If you're a villager, you're not making it easy for us, Pyro. 2. @DrakeMarshall - Kynedath > Ashbringer > Matrim > Karnage > Araris > Hatz Similar path as Pyro with some poke/joke votes missing in the middle. What's interesting to note here is both Drake and Pyro voted for Ashbringer - the third member of 'Coda Support Group'. Now I'll admit I'm genuinely baffled by the Coda Support Group. They seemed honest in their efforts to save him, but the way they went about was...chaotic. Were they attempting to pocket him? Drake also wanted to save Karnage for some reason. Alignment: Neutral/Slightly elim 3. @Ashbringer - Karnage > Hatz Cautious voting. Provided good defence when voted on. But then voted on Hatz as self-preservation in a move that was not self-preservative, then claimed to aim for a larger tie. Alignment: Slight village. Be wary against pocketing. 4. @Araris Valerian - Mist > Experience > Coda Started the vote on Mist with full intention on lynching them. Does not believe in poke votes. Does not seem to believe in tied votes either. Would rather vote on an already voted person to build a train. That's why their vote on Experience is odd. I believe no one had voted for Experience when they voted for him. Cited vague reasons. Then ended up voting for the same person Experience voted for. If you do not trust them, why do you vote with them? Similar odd behavior this cycle, their voting style opposite to that in the first cycle as they look to 'diversify' votes rather than build a train on their main suspect. Alignment: Neutral/Slightly elim
  9. @Ashbringer, you said you voted to save yourself. Which one is it? I don't recall Pyro voting for Coda. Him and Drake definitely voted for Matrim who had three votes at one point. So the Pyro lynch train went Matrim > Karnage > Hatz, while there was a separate lynch train on Coda. Why do you think it is unlikely? It looks fairly likely in my opinion. There's that cancelled vote off Hatz that could have been soothed at the time the votes were on Karnage. This is such a bad strategy. Why would you rather lynch someone who has given no possible indication as to whether they are village or elim? Granted not many people give such indication this early in the game, but something can be inferred from the posts here. Would you rather lynch a possible inactive villager than a possible elim suspect no matter who small the suspicion is? I'd imagine the elims would prod their inactive teammate to be a little more active. Going under the radar seems to be no. 1 suspicion for being an elim so they'd try to blend in. I'd reckon the chances of an inactive villager in C1 is much higher than an inactive elim in C1. I'd assume that if you were elims, you'd provide the in-thread collusion as the proof of so obviously working together that you couldn't be elims. You could have discussed in the elim doc to appear as if you were working together to allay suspicion. Reverse psychology, but hey, it works right? Though, I do think it is unlikely. At this point, I'm just thinking of possible scenarios. How would this clear the both of you? If you were elim, you'd have discussed this in the elim doc. Again, I'm only trying to start a discussion. I'm not overly suspicious of you, I'm not even going to vote for you as of now. The discussion only helps us to give a better understanding of you, and it might clear you in the end. @DrakeMarshall, yeah I messed up with that post, sorry for that. What I meant is that you said "tie is not a worst goal to have, but I'm not sure why it was done", and well you were aiming to tie votes yourself, so you'd know why it was done. I didn't realize you were talking about vote manip until later. (But I still have my suspicions of you Either you and Pyro are using that reverse psychology I mentioned earlier or you're using Pyro as a shield and piggy-backing him to provide mislynches an impetus.)
  10. There were quite possibly 4 votes at one point on Karnage to Coda's 3. There definitely was momentum. What's interesting to notice is that the first vote on Hatz was cast just 30 mins before roll over. In just half an hour Hatz had 4 (5 if you count Karnage's). Why change your vote when you have a perfectly fine train? What was wrong with Karnage as the lynch target? They gave the reason that they wanted to bring Hatz into the tie zone as well. But they didn't do that, they straight up transferred all their votes from Karnage to Hatz.
  11. Hmmm, possibly. Yeah that makes sense. I still think it would look like a normal vote. Say for example I'm a Pinnacle and I'm storing this turn. I want to vote but I have to vote on someone who's already been voted on. Let's say no one else has voted, except one person who has voted for you. At this point, I can only vote for you. Vote count would probably look like this: Ventyl (2) - The first person who voted for you, TJ
  12. I think these ones do not count. Sparker storing would not even be able to cast a vote (I'm guessing). Pinnacle is forced to vote on a played already voted on but their vote would still be visible. Right @StrikerEZ?
  13. Kinda contradictory seeing how you tried to do the same thing during voting, don't you think?
  14. @StrikerEZ, So was the Karnage vote considered by you or not? Coming to the vote manip, Araris was tied at 3 votes at one point, so a vote could have been soothed just to be careful. Hatz' vote soothing is interesting because Drake and Pyro almost always voted as a duo, especially when the voting was about to close. If Pyro would move his vote, Drake would as well and vice versa. As some point, both were voting on Matrim, Karnage (both were leading the vote at the point) and in the end Hatz. So very slight elim read on Matrim or Karnage. Karnage actually had 5 votes at one point and there was mass exodus with Ashbringer, Pyro and Drake moving their votes to Hatz. 1+ elim/s among them? The reason Ashbringer gave to moving the vote to Hatz is bizzarre. He claimed self-preservation but at the point of moving his vote Karnage had 4 votes (including his) and Hatz had only 1 vote (Pyro). Ashbringer himself had 2 votes. His vote was perfectly fine on Karnage if he wanted to save himself. If anything, he made himself more vulnerable by moving it to Hatz. Sure, there's evidence of in-thread collusion. Pyro wanted to move Hatz into the tie zone. Ash said he'd move if someone else moves. But still he couldn't have known that other votes would follow. After his vote, Drake, Mist and Karnage (?) voted as well. A villager in a precarious position would not put themselves in danger with no assurance of others' votes. Seems like he knew the votes were coming. I read Magestar as slightly village. He broke the Coda-Karnage tie by removing a vote off Coda. But then again, he has fooled 19 people at once, so I'm not so sure EDIT: This doesn't look right, Chief.
  15. Vote count is odd too. Hatz did NOT vote for himself. Drake's vote is in two places. Give me a bit to post the correct votes before manipulation.
  16. @Mist would you like to cast a vote on one of your suspects this cycle? Vote Count: Xino (3) - Matrim, TJ, Sart Sart(1) - Reading Reading (5) - Experience, Bugsy, DeTess, Megasif, Xino
  17. Wow y'all just.. flipped on Hatz in just half a page? That would be slightly elim behaviour if Hats flips village. You could have done that to avoid a tie and avoid having to use vote manipulation to tip the vote towards a villager, basically avoiding detection by not using vote manipulation.
  18. Lynching Reading is important because it takes away one of the elims vote manipulation. There are more chances multi-lynches after that. But I agree. If we don't find Bleeder in the next 2 cycles, I think they'll find Winsting. So my vote stays on xino.
  19. This was a good analysis but I made it without knowing about Elkanah Smuggling vote off Araris. So basically my final conclusion was wrong. Do read DeTess' response to that. She has made corrections to that which are accurate. EDIT : Though I do believe BR is elim. But she's not elim Impersonator
  20. TJ was just about to remove the mismatched bunch of people from his mind when he noticed the drunken lout from earlier. That one's trouble. Sighing, he decided to intervene. Sure, he wanted nothing more than to crawl back into the shadows, but he had hazekiller duties after all. He didn't want to seem lax, as that would be suspicious. Regretting it with every bone in his body, he approached the table. "Is there a problem?"
  21. My character is not in fact a true hazekiller. He can use metallic abilities. He doesn't want the world to know he can use metallic abilities.
  22. Well let's assume I'm all cleaned up now ___________ Well, Ruin it. He noticed the group's obvious attempts to speak in hushed tones and ignore him, and that meant they had all noticed him in the first place to ignore. He pried his gaze away from them, but tried to listen anyway. It's not like they were talking anything important. He really hoped they weren't hatching an escape plan. He'd have to kill them to keep his cover as a hazekiller. He wouldn't like it, but he'd do it without a second thought if that kept his cover intact. Please don't do anything stupid.
  23. TJ noticed the rather odd looking fellow heading to the table he was observing after spattering him with cookie crumbs. He glared at his back a second more than required and noticed the young boy's attention on him. Well, what do you know? The introverted boy might not be introverted after all. He stopped and chided himself. He was not supposed to be noticed. As he was watching, the lord standing nearby announced himself to the group. And what's the first thing he does? Propose an alliance of course! Rusting lords and their games. Even now they're thinking of earning favors and political gains. He meant it in an angry way but he couldn't help but feel impressed by the lord's actions. He couldn't possibly think of anything politically beneficial as far as the lord was concerned and yet he was genuinely making an effort to get through to them. TJ had known quite a few decent nobles and he did not exactly hate them. He had just known a lot of rotten ones and he'd learned to be wary of them. Hmm, he seems like a good chap after all. He couldn't help but smile inwardly looking at the odd bunch of people. Some alliance this is going to be, heh.
