Mid-Range Game 42: The Auction of Lord Winsting
|TJ| replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, we're really screwed if this happens. That's why it's very important to lynch Pyro as well. Vote Count: Xino (5) - Lord Sil, Sart, Bugsy, Matrim, Shard of Reading Pyro (5) - Kynedath, DeTess, TJ, Xino, Experience Sart [1(0)] - wilson Bugsy (1) - Pyro We can assume Pyro moving his vote to Xino. We can also expect Shard of Reading to smuggle a vote off Pyro, since I think it's fair to assume he's elim. That leaves Xino(6) and Pyro (4). wilson can impersonate a vote to make it 5-5. But after that? No clue. I'd assume elims have got more vote manips. So I'd really be comfortable if Pyro leads the count by at least 2 votes. -

Yeah that's what I meant. That you suggested the plan, and not that they should target Bugsy. Retrospectively, I don't think this happened since the extortionist would claim that it happened. We're also thinking of lynching Pyro along with Xino. What do you think about that @Shard of Reading? -

As Matrim mentioned, you could've been extorted to attack on yourself. If you were Bleeder, that would just eliminate more people and make it easier for you to find Winsting from a smaller pool, since you'd know they are not Bleeder. But I agree, you seemed to be honestly helping to find Bleeder. At this point, you aren't a prime suspect. But that would change if Village Bartender does not claim his kill or if Sart flips non-Bleeder. At that point, it'd be either you or xino. Since apparently we're lynching xino this cycle, if he doesn't flip Bleeder, then you'd be our main suspect. Xino (4) - Lord Sil, Sart, Experience, Bugsy Pyro (3) - Kynedath, DeTess, TJ Sart (1) - little wilson, Matrim Bugsy (1) - Pyro I'd love for a Xino/Pyro tie. -

I agree Sart is mostly not Bleeder. I mean, the real Bleeder probably saw our discussion to prove Sart's innocence and decided not to kill this cycle to pin it on him. This is actually brilliant for us because 1. If Sart indeed is Bleeder, we'll get to know in the next cycle via Kynedath. I believe Sart will try to prove his innocence again by Smuggling? (NO ONE ROLEBLOCK HIM THIS TIME) 2. If Sart isn't Bleeder, then Bleeder is definitely hiding behind him. So as long as Sart keeps Smuggling each cycle, Bleeder cannot kill since it'll clear Sart. Bleeder would also try to push Sart lynch since after Sart is dead they don't have to pretend to imitate him, and can start the kills again. Cycle 4 kills Pyro confirmed that Sart was role-blocked. This means 1. Sart was Bleeder and couldn't execute Bleeder kill (he wouldn't do this anyway even if he was Bleeder since he wanted to prove his innocence). Highly unlikely. 2. Sart was being framed. Bleeder didn't know about the role-block. He decides to scan or use his second ability to show lack of Bleeder kill as a proof for Bleeder!Sart. Highly likely. 3. But the lack of a claim from village bartender about their target is very disturbing. Village Bartender, please confirm if your target was one of Bugsy or Xino (here or via PM). If you were role-blocked, there's a high chance Bugsy or Xino are Bleeder and they attacked themselves to avoid suspicion. We're not even sure that we have a Bartender remaining anymore. Assuming, of course elim kill wasn't role-blocked. As far as I know elim kill cannot be role-blocked, right? @The Young Pyromancercan you confirm if elim kill was role blocked or not? If we don't get a message from village Bartender, the 3rd case is highly likely. If that happens, @Bugsy would be my prime Bleeder suspect. We really shouldn't lynch Sart this cycle. -

She was always advocating on focusing on elims. If DeTess had died, it would be so obvious that the kill order came from you, rather than Bleeder. I'm also wondering why Bleeder hasn't killed you yet, since you're orchestrating the whole Bleeder Hunt. Also, what's Lylo? -

Man, you should have just let him Smuggle a vote and prove his innocence. Now it could be case of Bleeder simply scanning for Winsting which would explain the lack of Bleeder kill. -

It's possible that lack of Bleeder kill means Bleeder role-blocked Sart to frame him. -

If everyone is convinced of this, then why are we lynching him? -

There's another situation in which Sart claims to have been role-blocked (as an excuse for not Smuggling) but actually scans for Winsting. -

I did. I assumed they would. I mean, surely they'd have at least one right? Since they didn't protect Karnage in C3 (I assume Striker protected him in C2) maybe it's true. There's another thought. What if Striker was the only Bodyguard in the game? That would make the previous cycle's actions bizzare indeed. There's a possibility that Bleeder!Bugsy attacked themself if one of the two bartenders were role-blocked. Same could be said for Xino I suppose, but Bugsy is working hard to discredit Kynedath so it's suspicious alright. @The Young Pyromancer, what was your scan result? Was your bartender role-blocked? If not, whom did they attack? -

|TJ| replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sart is most definitely not elim, since Pyro had been pushing for Sart lynch since last cycle. Also, even if Kynedath is elim, it means he's not Bleeder, and we can collaborate. Besides, if I was a village Renowned, I'd be scanning elim suspects as well, so it's not that much of a stretch. Why would you scan someone you don't suspect to be evil or Bleeder? I'm all for elim hunt + Kynedath Sart Second Scan. -

Ahh, I get it now. That's actually smart. If this is the case, the result would be - "Bleeder got attacked, but survived!" In this case, the extortion would simply fail. You can blame Pyro and his "plans" for this, btw xD -

True. I'd have to trust Kynedath and a bodyguard. Preferably if Pyro could assure elim Bodyguard would protect him, since Pyro seems too eager to find out Bleeder. -

If Bleeder isn't Extortionist/ Escort, much better then! Kynedath gets can answer to his second scan on Sart. If it's Bartender, he's Bleeder. If not, he's being framed. Also, this is a bad idea. What if they redirect it to Winsting by accident? This can only work with elim Extortionists assuming Pyro has told them Winsting's identity. Village Extortionists might redirect it to Winsting by accident. -

|TJ| replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So here's a plan. I'm assuming Kynedath non-Bleeder. He scans Sart for the second time. For this to happen successfully he shouldn't die, get role-blocked or redirected. If we were to trust Kyne's scan, Sart is a Smuggler. Hence, he can't extort or escort Kyne. The only thing he can do is kill Kyne. So we'll give him protection. If his Kyne's action gets role-blocked or redirected, Sart couldn't have done that as his secondary action is Smuggling, so it must Bleeder who's trying to frame Sart. EDIT: Can we really risk losing another villager to a mislynch if Sart is not Bleeder? -

Doesn't matter. Either Extortionist or Escort ability would prevent you from getting the answer. -

Bleeder may have the ability to redirect actions too, so we might not find if Sart is Bleeder after all. It all comes down to this. Sart or Bleeder trying to frame Sart. EDIT: That's why I think Sart's gotta go. I'll make my vote later after some more discussion. -

Wait is that what it means? I really did't know. This is actually brilliant. How does it work actually? You send your target and you get the result after the cycle ends? Or do you get it immediately, as soon as Joe reads your request? -
Mid-Range Game 42: The Auction of Lord Winsting
|TJ| replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
He has sent results of all 4 scans to me. I would like to confirm its authenticity for C2 and C3 though. If what he claims is true, then he couldn't have been Bleeder because she used kill moves in those two cycles. He couldn't. Smuggling a vote to create a global tie causes the action to get role-blocked. That's probably what ended up happening by the way. If Sart was Bleeder and there's an absence of a Smuggled vote, then he should have executed a kill move. Also, he'd be eager to prove that he isn't Bleeder so Smuggling a vote is actually beneficiary for Bleeder!Sart. So mostly his Smuggled vote got role-blocked. But that would only happen if he tried to remove a vote off HH [since HH(5) and Pyro(4)]. I don't know why he would do this. Logically he should have removed a vote off himself. Can @Shard of Reading confirm this? We can then scratch Kynedath off the list. -

@Kynedath, could you scan Sart again this cycle? If the result is Bartender, then we have all the proof in the world for Bleeder!Sart -

Went back and read through Orlok's final tabular analysis before he died (wow, he's insanely perceptive). Definitely agree that BR and Shard of Reading are likely to be evil. Correlate that with the fact that these names never showed up from Pyro while Bleeder Hunting. For example, we have this quote from BR. Fura makes a simple guess about the no. of elims. "Good village vibe" is definitely a stretch. So we have xino, BR, Shard of Reading, and Pyro. We really should be going for double/triple lynches. Since we already have 2 votes on xino, I implore others to vote on one of the other 3. Coming to Bleeder, I do think they are trying to frame Sart. His alibi is suspicious, but we really cannot afford to lynch more villagers. I'm still suspicious of Bleeder!Pyro, but I'll curb my doubts for now. Speaking of @The Young Pyromancer, why didn't elim bodyguards protect Karnage in C3? -

So Sart is still not cleared right? If both the kills are from bartenders (we have to assume since they get their chance only once in two cycles), that Bleeder either scanned or used his second ability. Of course, Bleeder might try to pin it on Sart by not killing anyone in this cycle. The more villagers die, the easier it is for Bleeder to kill Winsting. She is in no hurry. Pyro, what was your Stalker scan result?
